We had the ducts in our house cleaner by Stanley Steemer from the recommendation of our personal plumber. They arrived on time and were extremely professional. Moved all of our heavy furniture so they could better access some of our hard to reach ducts. They even went so far as to clean in these areas. Before they started they showed us and explained what the ducts looked like. I couldn't get over how much dust, dirt and plaster were sitting in the ducts. While cleaning one could hear all the debris being sucked up by their vacuum. The after pictures were hard to believe. They were spotless. They didn't leave a mess and cleaned up everywhere they worked. I was very pleased with their work, their attitude and their friendliness. I would highly recommend using their service. read more

Nearly $1,000, Two Cleanings, Still Have Odor and Stains I paid approximately $1,000 to have my carpets professionally cleaned. The initial service was performed on September 17. After the cleaning, I still had a noticeable cat urine odor and visible dirt/staining, so I contacted the company and gave them an opportunity to correct the problem. They returned on September 24 and performed a second cleaning. Unfortunately, even after TWO visits, the odor remained and there were still visible stains in multiple areas. I have photographs documenting the condition of the carpet after the service. After giving the location a second opportunity to correct the problem, I requested a refund and was refused. I then contacted Stanley Steemer's corporate office to escalate my complaint and was told that this location is privately owned, so the refund would have to be handled by the local business. I understand that not every stain can always be removed, but for approximately $1,000, two service visits, and an unresolved odor problem, I am extremely dissatisfied with both the results and the resolution offered. I gave the company an opportunity to make this right before posting this review. Unfortunately, my refund request was denied. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. read more

I had my vents cleaned by this company and was very pleased!! the guys were friendly and professional and the whole process took only 2 hours, including having carpet cleaned...they were recommended by our HVAC person.... I had an unfortunate emergency where someone was squatting in my apartment illegally. I drove 4 hours up to my apartment in Binghamton to only be told by another local cleaner that they would turn away just as I approached my apartment due to the pandemic. I frantically called Stanley Steemer and within an hour, they set two awesome guys (Matt and JP, you guys rock!) to deep clean my apartment and rid of any potential COVID. My mother had a medical emergency due to a ruptured blood vessel. Because my brother and I were traveling to her from out of state and then at hospital night and day, I did not see the damage to carpet to book the cleaner for 4 days. While there was a mishap in initial scheduling, I was re-called immediately to change the time, which allowed me to return to hospital. The 2 young men who arrived were polite, professional and sympathetic of the situation. While no guarantees could be made due to blood soaking in for so long, the area looked brand new when they finished. For those not satisfied, consider if you have used the rental machines or home units - as I have in my own home. Not just SS but other sources explain how this leads to poor results. I have no complaints at all. Stanley Steemer thoroughly cleaned my stained, dirty, quite worn 12 year old light beige carpet. It looks the best it has in years. They also cleaned an older sofa with stains and stink from normal wear and tear from kids, adults and our dog. Very pleased and pleasantly surprised with the job done. Originally they scheduled my upholstery cleaning to be between 8am and noon. Then they changed it to 11am - 1pm. The finally called to say they would be at myhouse at 2:45pm. I could not wait for the any longer and had to cancel. I had already waited 6 hours. I will not use them again. They are unreliable. read more

When I asked on the phone about their soap killing any possible mold or mildew smells they stated it did and they used the best soap on the market. When they arrived it suddenly became extra. On there receipt and given to you after you pay, they state in hand writing and not verbally while in house "No Guarantee on complete odor removal". In there check boxes the worker checked off excessive carpet wear and Assorted colored spots on a commercial multi-colored brown carpet that had hardly any use. The rug is in a ground level walk out basement that is used about five weekends per year for family guest. It still looks like the day it was installed with no stains anywhere. WOW! They really cover their asses. I attempted to speak to the office manager on three occasions to no avail. So don't expect much in customer service. just on that reason alone I would not give any stars in possible. read more

We hired Stanley Steemer out of Vestal to clean our carpets for New Years. We ended up having to have them come back to touch up a few spots and while they were here, agreed to have them clean a couch, lazyboy chair and the runner to our stairs. After they had left, I went to move the end tables and found that our wax warmer had been on and it had been spilled all over the wall, baseboard, end table, floors and my Frye Boots. When I called initially to let them know.. They asked that I attempt to clean the items and they would call back on Monday. No one ever called and I ended up having to call them back on Tuesday. My husband and I were beyond reasonable and made a few suggestions ..But we were very clear that we felt that they should decide how they wanted to best handle the situation. The owner, Lori put me on hold and said she would be right back. Her daughter then got on the phone and demanded a copy of the receipt or proof of how much the boots cost... I was highly offended and told Lori that specifically. I then sent an email with photos of the boots as well as a photo that was posted on Instagram the day the boots were purchased, along with the official website listing and pricing. They called back and requested that they be allowed to pick up the boots, have them cleaned and then returned. We agreed. They picked up the boots a few days later and it took about 1.5-2weeks to have them returned. Today, instead of ringing the doorbell and allowing me to see the boots.. they left them on the doorstep when i was clearly home. When I went to inspect them... they had been either painted or polished in a manner that left a few raised spots on the actual boot, discolored the sole and is now separating between the boot and sole. I then called to get Loris email address and was told that couldnt be given out but was given Roberts. Before I could even send the photos - I got a very angry call from Lori.. who didnt even allow me to speak before she got angry that I was apparently upset. She then accused me of lying about how long I have owned the boots and how much wear they had gotten. Told me that I wouldnt get another "damn thing" from them... When I was not asking for anything and frankly wouldnt let them touch my boots again anyway. I was treated with the most disrespect that I have EVER experienced from a business... I am not happy with the quality of the "cleaning job"... Its not going to ruin my boots.. or I hope not.. but that was never the point.... We spent almost $300.00 with this business.. they made a mistake and then want to be rude and disrespectful. We will never use them again and would advise you to find someone else... because if on the off chance that they break or damage something.. you can expect to be yelled at, disrespected and your integrity questioned. read more
