They lived up to their great reviews, from the initial contact phone call all the way to the conclusion of the installation of my new unit. Derek, the estimate technician who arrived at my home on April 23rd, was knowledgeable and addressed my questions and offered options. He was at my home for over two hours! He offered me several options, without pressuring me, simply explaining the benefits of each option. His willingness to explore my request to remove current water outflow pipe that had been on the garage floor for decades, presenting a safety risk, and route it another way outside was taken seriously and creatively. He took me through the plan and I was so pleased. The technicians who arrived the next day to do the install, Gary, James and Kauntes, were excellent workers. Gary was in charge and went over the plan with me in detail. He was able to troubleshoot a few issues and get the job done! All three of them were courteous and, without being asked, applied shoe coverings every time they entered the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Gary kept me apprised of their progress. They began working at approximately 9:15 am and did not leave my house until 6:15 pm. After spending at least an hour reviewing, he advised me to go with another professional that he highly recommende due to their expertise specific to my system. In November 2025, a technician attempted to clear a clogged sink drain in our guest bathroom but was unsuccessful, stating nothing more could be done. Her only solution was an expensive main drain descaling/jetting service quote for $1,500 to $1,700+. Six months later, we hired a second plumbing company. They successfully cleared the blockage for just $175 using a standard drain snake--the exact same tool GOAT's technician used unsuccessfully. The costly $1,500+ jetting service recommended by GOAT would have been completely unnecessary. 2. Our total bill came to $533. Because the total was processed on a credit card without an upfront cost breakdown, we assumed the fee was primarily for the drain attempt. When I later checked the itemized receipt, I was shocked to find: * $83 for the unsuccessful attempt to clear the sink drain. * $450 in labor/fees to replace a toilet flush valve for a minor leak--an $18 part at Lowe's. Had we been quoted $450 upfront to replace a flush valve, we would have declined immediately. 3. I emailed the owner directly to detail our experience and give them a chance to address these concerns but received no reply. We take responsibility for not inspecting the emailed receipt right away, but the combination of inaccurate diagnostics, extreme price markups, and lack of customer support means we cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I'm not in construction, but am a better contractor than he is!! The price quoted seemed reasonable but the responsiveness and service provided was atrocious! I realize there is lead time in ordering materials, but had I not continued to hound Marlon I don't think the job would have ever happened! When the job did occur, it was all screwed up! We were getting replacement French Doors installed. First of all, we had to provide final payment before Marlon would allow his guys to even start the job. The check I gave Marlon was cashed before the guys were even done. We both work from home, so I guess we should've supervised the job, but we were paying for the job so we shouldn't have to supervise it, right? Well, the guys leave and then we check out the doors to find out they were installed backwards. Swing-out doors with internal blinds were installed as swing-in doors so the blind controls ended up on the outside of the house! After about three weeks of hounding, Marlon, he finally sent his guys back out to check it out. Did they fix the doors? NO!! They continued to insist that they were installed correctly and left. I ended up having to hire somebody else to turn the doors around and pay them to do it so now the reasonable quote was no longer reasonable! I told Marlon about it, and he promised he would repay me for the door re-install. After 2 months of asking and reminding him he never did so here is his review. Never ever hire Tricolor Flooring or you may end up with Marlon and you will regret it.
