The job was gutting…read moreand renovating the entire main level of our 1965 split level which hadn't been touched since the house was built. R&R moved a wall, took out an unused fireplace, filled in a window, installed all the new appliances, handled all the finish carpentry, painting, tile entry way and tile back splash and the quartz countertops and new island with quartz top. The original hardwood in the living room/dining room was in good enough shape to save but the kitchen which had been vinyl and the family room hardwood was all replaced. You literally can't tell where the old wood was laced into the new wood floor. And, when the owner wasn't satisfied with how the floors looked he had his crew sand it all down and do it over! We also purchased our cabinets through them and it saved us a lot of money. Most importantly to me is that we never had any issues with any of the work crew as they were in our home from the beginning of March to early June. And they worked every day unless we were waiting on something that had been ordered, but they always alerted me to that, and they came on time. We didn't even mind that they worked a few weekends. I never had to track them down and ask if they were planning to work that day or not. They did an incredible job in a short amount of time. I couldn't be more pleased with how our house looks now. If I have other things to renovate in my home I will always call on them.

One stain had been set for years, and we were told it was hopeless--Taylor proved them wrong and completely removed it. Taylor arrived right on time, was super personable, and worked hard from start to finish. The cleaning solution he used smells mild and pleasant--no harsh chemical odor lingering afterward--and now there is absolutely no trace of any urine smell. By the time he was done, our carpets looked brand new. I honestly wish we had found Carpet Boss years ago! Their prices are extremely reasonable as well. I'm really picky and don't give these types of reviews lightly, but this experience blew me away. From scheduling to completion, everything was seamless, and the results exceeded every expectation. If you're dealing with stubborn pet stains or just need a serious deep clean, look no further. I couldn't recommend Carpet Boss and Taylor more highly!

Ace cleaned my air ducts in April. Ever since then, when the fan kicked on, I got a whiff of…read moresomething musty. I finally called my HVAC company, since I was worried that they might have clogged the drain, and found that Ace had punched a hole in the sheet metal to access the duct in the garage, and the plug that they put in the hole did not fit tightly. So every time my air-conditioner kicked on it was pulling in stale air from the garage. It cost me $90 for them to put a 6 inch strip of duct tape on. I'm not very happy about that. Also, when Ace came they did not tell me that it would take them four hours. I went outside in the yard since there was equipment everywhere and got a terrible sunburn. A warning about the length of time would have been nice. After they left, I found an 8-foot scratch in my hardwood floors where something had been dragged. These employees definitely were not gentle or considerate of my home environment. Basically, my ducts are clean so I'm giving them a two. The additional $90 to cover a hole And The to-be-determined cost of repairing the scratch certainly do not put Ace in the economical a reasonable price category.

They discovered a length of duct about 8 feet long with deteriorating insulation on the inside; they came back and spent several hours cleaning that out and stabilizing the surface. All at no extra cost! This was after they were already the lowest quote by a good margin. 5 stars, definitely.

From the beginning I has problems with glue seeping up between the seams, and some planks curling at the edges. Floor Traders only solution was to re-glue. Five years later it has gotten to a point where it was a tripping hazard for me and I am having to have the entire floor replaced, at great expense and time. I'm working with a different company and their installers have informed me that the slab was not prepared properly, no moisture sealant was applied. I'm a senior on a fixed income, so this has been a serious financial burden for me. I would not recommend Floor Trader for vinyl plank flooring on a concrete slab foundation, primarily because of their installers.
