    Had our new years eve dinner here. Party of 6. The asmospher was nice. You walk past the kitchen and see everything which is cool. The manager had called to confirm our reservation and check in w us. The waiter was great. He was around when he was needed and checked in without disturbing the table to much. The kiddo was not a fan of his burger. He actually didn't eat half of it. I did have to send my steak back it was well done. But they replaced it quickly and it was sooo good when I got it back. Had the sirloin w shrimp and brusells, hubs had the surf and turf

    I was impressed, first of all, with the dark wood paneling of the walls. The interior decor gives off cozy, vintage vibe I love. Next thing I was impressed with was the food. I got the Wild Alaskan Halibut with lemon chive sauce, which was moist and delicious. My sister got the 12 oz. Rock Salt Roasted Prime Rib. She ordered it medium-well, and while I prefer my steaks medium rare, the pieces she let me sample were tender and flavorful. Needless to say, our palates were extremely pleased with our choices. My daughter got the grilled Columbia River Salmon, which she said was dry and asked for ranch dip to moisten it a bit. It was good for her thereafter. Lol. Oh, and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts were, indeed, crispy and yummy! Dessert was the clincher. I got the crème brûlée, which (oh my gosh!) was heavenly: smooth, velvety, with generous flecks of vanilla bean caviar. That was probably THE best crème brûlée I've ever had. My sister got the Marionberry Cobbler à la mode, which was also a scrumptious treat. Our servers made us feel welcome and took care of us with warm smiles. We walked out of there with big smiles and overstuffed bellies. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience and we plan to return.

    Thought we'd try something different again today & it did not disappoint! This is my new favorite restaurant due to LOTS of menu options, amazing flavor & top notch service. I started with a side of Asparagus (could've ordered a 2nd serving, perfectly grilled to give a smoked flavor), my entree was Smoked Chicken Linguine, (I opted for no Chicken) it came with 2 large pieces of toasted garlic bread that was so soft. I had a cocktail, Ember. Vanilla Vodka, Digiorno, Simple Syrup, and a fresh large Dark Cherry My husband ordered Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce (his favorite steak topping) & had both sides of Mashed potatoes. The portion sizes were substantial & neither of us could finish our meals. The both seating isn't very roomy, but I liked that you step up to sit in them. The individual light fixtures on the wall was a really nice touch too. The hostess was very friendly & our server Miruslaba Q. was phenomenal, we were never without a beverage & our order was 100% on point! On our way out, the kitchen staff even made eye contact & smiled. I can't wait to return for my birthday dinner next month

    Dinner for 9 and we made a reservation and had to wait a few minutes for our table (we did come early) and there was a waiting area for us. Some time after we ordered the lights in the restaurant dimmed for a different ambiance and vibe, think this happens daily. We ordered at 6:40 and it took 40mins for our entrees to arrive, while our drinks came out fast and our server was attentive. We didn't order appetizers. I got the Grilled Chicken Marsala and it had a good amount of asparagus and mashed potato. I wish there was a tad bit of sauce. The other entrees on my side were the Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, Fish and Chips, Kruse burger with added side of onion rings, Spicy cowboy burger, and Cajun prawn linguine. The size of fish was small, though the filet mignon was very good. The linguine came with bread and the pasta had a definite kick. The burgers were filling and came loaded with the toppings listed. The cowboy burger came with a bbq sauce with bacon in it and thick jalepenos. The kruse burger came with a lot of lettuce and guacamole. All the entrees are good portions and lots of beverage, alcohol options. Prices for entrees start at ~20 and higher. For the price, some of our cups were scratched and seemed cracked as well as our cloth napkins having dust and pet hair. Definitely would return for a special occasion or happy hour!

    Our favorite restaurant in Hillsboro. Great steak, chicken, pasta appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, soup, and desserts. We come here frequently and are very rarely disappointed. The lentil Soup on Mondays is a favorite, and the smoked salmon chowder on the weekends are both outstanding. The mac and cheese and smoked chicken linguine are sooo good too. I'm normally to full for dessert.

    My mom and I came here for the first time tonight as she is visiting from CA. I will definitely be back! Delicious meal - we got the 16 oz prime rib. It was lots of food - we split it. We ordered medium rare and it was perfectly cooked! The service was outstanding - Sean was great. He was funny and took great care of us! The restaurant itself is a great setting - perfect for a quiet dinner or a romantic date. Can't wait to come back for a date night with my hubby!

    Can a vegetarian enjoy dining at a steakhouse? If it's Stanford's, the answer is YES! My roommate is not vegetarian and he has always commented on all the cars parked at Stanford's. So to appease him, I agreed to visit Stanford's. That was over a dozen visits ago. It is now one of our regular dining spots. Stanford's bills itself as a classic American steakhouse. But when you enter, there is no overpowering aroma of meat. The air inside is fresh and clean. The ambience is upscale and comfortable with booths and cushioned velvet chairs. There is also a fabulous outdoor patio overlooking a pond with fountains. It's very pleasant. The menu is extensive with all the usual steakhouse choices. But there is also a very good veggie burger, a Portobello cap burger and several yummy appetizers, salads and side dishes that keep this vegetarian coming back. The food is always tasty. My roommate loves their salmon chowder soup. Their Brussels sprouts appetizer and Caesar salad are two of my favorites. Stanford's has a terrific Happy Hour M-F from 3pm-6pm and 8pm to closing. Their $7 Bloody Mary is great. There is plenty of parking and buses 52 and 47 stop nearby. Service has mostly been pleasant and professional. Stanford's offers a loyalty program for regulars. Whether you're a big time carnivore or a vegetarian like me, you'll surely enjoy Stanford's. Highly recommend!

They were crispy but overly oily, and the creamy mayo-based sauce didn't pair well with them. This Appetizer took too long to come out. For the Ahi Poke Tuna - Glad I asked for the sauces on the side. Even with three sauce options, none really worked with the dish. One dark sauce tasted almost like molasses, overly sweet and not something you expect with poke. The chili sauce was also too sweet, while the soy-based sauce tasted excessively salty (fish sauce maybe added in it). I added malt vinegar myself just to balance the flavor. Also, it would be nice if the fish was seasoned with salt(or something) to alter the fishy flavor. The Fish & Chips was average at best. The batter was uneven, with some parts way too thick, though the fries were okay. Experience was not horrible, server was nice and ambiance inside is pretty. I just think the kitchen needs real work.
