We'll start with a five out of five for now. I just dropped off my cleaning. Once I pick everything up on Thursday I'll give a full rating. I use to use this cleaners but found another closer to my house. They closed recently so I'm back. Stay tuned... I picked up my cleaning and the work was wonderful. I always ask for a medium starch on shirts and they did not disappoint. Their prices are competitive and service is great. I was also impressed with the turnaround. They don't do the cleaning in this store but send it out to their other store located on Fourth Plain. Non the less I was well please. Looks like I'm back... read more

Over the years I have brought many things to this location to have cleaned. Always do the job and a decent amount of time and I am always happy with the outcome. Recently took a couple of down sleeping bags there to be cleaned after the summer. She told me how much it would cost and that's what it was. They were wonderfully packaged and very nicely cleaned. I recommend this place for all your cleaning needs The owners are very nice and accommodating read more

This place did a fantastic job with the silk blouses I brought in, even removing a 3-year-old lipstick stain in one. However, I would not recommend this cleaner if you have anything wool or a large blanket. I brought in a vintage Pendleton blanket I purchased from a dear friend. The blanket was in great shape and neither myself nor the original owner own any pets. I picked the blanket up from the cleaners and it was Covered in dog and human hair. I brought this issue up to the front desk attendant and although they cleaned the blanket a second time free of charge, the blanket is still not in the original condition I purchased it. read more

After going here do 1.5 years: I dropped off some clothes for laundry. The owner calls to give a long explanation for why they must now charge me $6+ instead of 2.50 or whatever because they got a new press and my custom fitted shirts are too small? What? It's just a dress shirt, I'm 5'11"... I was confused and when I came to pick up clothes had a long back and forth with him- you cannot change the price of a thing after I have already dropped off the clothes. I strongly recommend staying away from this dishonest business. It is unreasonable for a customer to come in for shirt laundering where the price is x then be told after they've cleaned your shirts we have to charge 3 times X because we got a new press. read more

BUYERS BEWARE! I've used Stanford Cleaners at their SE 34th Street, Camas location several times and continually come away feeling underwhelmed. My most recent visit was the worst of all. I dropped off 5 shirts on Friday (3/8/2019) and asked if I could pick them up on Monday (3/11/2019). The store clerk told me with some annoyance that it would "usually" only be done by Tuesday (3/12), but that if I wanted it Monday I could only pick it up after 5 pm. I agreed to this and it seemed reasonable. On collecting the shirts on Monday around 5:15 pm the clerk rang up my 5 shirts. Three of which she charged me $19.35 for. I was aghast and asked why they were so much higher than the other two. She floundered as she tried to justify that the three other shirts were "fitted" and she had to charge extra for them. I was stunned as I didn't think they were "fitted" or any different from the other two shirts. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me that they weren't there and that it wouldn't make any difference if I spoke to them. Had they taken one minute of their day to call me and explain that the 3 "fitted" shirts would be substantially more expensive to clean, I would never have let them clean them for that amount. Instead I was presented a massive bill without any concern or much explanation. Definitely some of the worst customer service I've experienced. This was blatant price gouging. I was under time constraints and had to pay and leave, but felt horribly exploited. Avoid Stanford Cleaners at all costs. This was my last patronage, guaranteed. read more

The seamstress / owner was very nice. She did an excellent job on my long gown for my Christmas party. The young girl at the desk was efficient but not overly friendly. All and all they did a good job. Thank you! read more

On 3/5/2011 I dropped of 10 dress shirts at Stanford Dry cleaners. They were to be laundered and pressed. This is the Mill Plain Location but I believe they are all owned by the same person (Mr Kim) I picked them up on 3/12/2011. When I got home I realized wrinkles were heavily ironed into shoulders three of the shirts. I returned to Stanford Cleaners the next day and and pointed out the wrinkles. The employee said they would re-do those three shirts. I returned again on 3/19/2011 to pick up on the re ironed shirts. They were still wrinkled. The employee said I could pay more to have them hand ironed. The machine they used to iron shirts was not working on these shirts. I said I did not want to pay more and asked if there were any other option. The employee said I would have to speak to the owner (Mr Kim). I left the employee with my number and asked that the Mr. Kim call me. Mr Kim never called me so I returned to Stanford Cleaners for a third time on evening of 3/22/2011. I asked for a refund for the three shirts. The employee stated she could not do that only the owner could. I told her I had asked that Mr Kim call me and he had not. She suggested I call him. I asked for and she provided a phone number to contact him. I attempted to contact him while still on site at the dry cleaner. This number was to another location. Mr Kim was not available. and the person who answered the phone said Mr Kim was in randomly and could not give me a specific time to reach him. I explained to him that I was seeking a solution or a refund for the three shirts. He stated Mr Kim is the only one who can do that. I expressed my frustration that Mr Kim was neither available for me to call and would not call me back. During this time. The employee at the location I was physically at. picked up a phone and dialed a number to call Mr Kim directly. She said to him that the customer with the three shirts was here and wanted to speak to him. I was handed the phone and Mr Kim explained that he did the best he could but that the design of the shirt prevents him from ironing them properly. I told him that I understand. I asked for a refund of the three shirts as I would have to go home and Iron the shirts. Mr Km said "No". I explained I thought it was reasonable to expect that a dress shirt brought to the dry cleaners wold not need t be ironed before it could be worn. further, it would have been his responsibility to inform he he was unable to properly iron those type of shirts (this could have happened on the first or the second time I brought them in). I asked him to please be reasonable. it's not really the point of the money. They are less that $2.00 per shirt. It's really that I should not have to pay for a service I did not receive. Mr Kim said he did the best he could and would not refund the money for the three shirts. Mr Kim's demeanor and tone on the phone was harsh and dismissive. Was harsh and. it was obvious he was not in the least concerned about providing service, being fair or having me as a customer. This was my first (and last) experience with this business. read more

DO NOT spend your money here. If they mess up and ruin your clothing they will not do anything about it. They'll tell you it was your fault or the fabric on the clothing was bad. I brought in my $50 tie from Nordstrom. I came back to pick it up and it was all frayed out. I didn't notice it till I got to work, because I was in a hurry to get out of there since they had me wait because my stuff wasn't ready when I came in to pick it up. I came back in the next day to tell them about my tie and the employee girl told me to leave the tie with her and she would have the manager call me. A week went by and I never got a call so I went in again. She said sorry, I just heard about it yesterday. And then couldn't find my tie, she said her husband must have taken it to dry clean it again and told me to come back the next day. I came back 2 days later and she had the tie and told me it was there the whole time and he never dry cleaned it again and the girl employee is inexperienced and didn't know what she was talking about. Then she told me that it was my fault the tie was all frayed out because of the way I wore it. These people know NOTHING about customer service, and then blame you if they ruin your clothing. I will not be going back there again even though they are only 3 blocks from my house. I rather travel further to get better quality dry cleaning and service. read more

Had to have a Santa suit cleaned for a special event this Friday. Stanford's said they would have it ready Thursday. Went in today to pick up only to find the owner put a note on it saying they couldn't clean it. Not even a phone call to explain the problem and give me time to find a place that would clean it. I have no idea why they wouldn't or couldn't do their job. The employee I spoke with had no idea what the problem was or why we weren't called. I drove to another dry cleaners who says they do them all the time. Christmas has been saved but not by this place. Stanford's lack of customer service could have created real problems for hundreds of kids this weekend. How difficult is a phone call? read more

I normally go to this place because they have good results with things that I need to get tailored, however they have horrible service. Their hours are NO WHERE to be found online and then when you try to call to figure out their hours NO ONE ever answers the phone and they apparently don't have an answering service so the phone just keeps on ringing and ringing. I have gone there several times to get something tailored and the seamstress is NEVER there, even when I am told she will be there she is no where to be found. This is just silly. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. HORRIBLE service. read more

The people are kind and they do good work. I've never had anything damaged and it's a quick turn around time. Oh, and it's near G&G. What else do you need from a cleaners? read more

I dropped off a white skirt that was returned to me badly discolored. They obviously did not check it before returning it. I pointed this out to them, and initially the woman at the counter (not sure if it was the owner or not) said I had handed it in that way. (Not true.) After suggesting the point of a dry cleaner was to remove stains, not add stains, she offered to "try to clean it again." To their credit, they did a somewhat decent job of removing the discoloration (which they had caused). The skirt is wearable now, but still has discoloration spots. At least they didn't charge me. I won't be taking anything back here. read more
