This wash is super rough on the car. I have pick up truck and it bends the windows back, and doesn't have enough water pressure to blast off the bug guts on the windows. It's easy and convenient and price is fair but not a great job washing unless you scrub afterwards. The "free air" doesn't work by the way. read more

Be advised - this place WILL damage your car and will NOT cover you. Their equipment ripped the gas cap door off of my car and management refused to provide any support, telling me it was my fault. This was after they showed me a drawer filled with at least 20 gas cap doors they had found from other cars after going through the wash over time. Standard Wash has been fraudulently charging our card for a subscription we did not purchase. At one time, the attendant offered a "special" of unlimited washes for THAT MONTH, not a subscription, so we paid the 19.95. They've continued to charge that every month. Calls to their number on their website 630-549-0124 are not answered, nor is their an option to leave a message. They do not reply to emails to info@standardwash.com. This is fraud, pure and simple. Numerous people have posted this same story on Google and Facebook. They should expect a class action lawsuit. read more

Lines were long today because of broken gates. The owner was not on premises at 10:30 on a Saturday with 2 broken gates and poor staff having to deal with long lines. They were not able to fold the towels so there were no towels which are a courtesy unless you are a member. Last few times the lines have been long or the car wash was shut down (may have been related to weather) However, this car wash is no longer as good as it was in the past. Thought I would give this Standard wash a try. Brought in a one month old, brand new car with a ceramic paint coating. Most everything comes right off with a ceramic coating. I was kind of shocked to see all of the bugs still on the front end that were not cleaned off. After hand drying the water drops that remained, especially on the rear end I noticed my towel was filthy. Then I took a look at the window glass and found a dirty film across all of the windows. Tell tale sign the final rinse was with recycled (dirty) water, not fresh water. So instead of a clean car, I really have a entire car covered in a dirty film from recycled rinse water! When this place started it was great. It's just declined with the quality of service. Guy was eating when he comes out of his booth to run my card. He selected up charges they don't do like waxing and tire service. They literally sent me through without a wash. So I had to sit there, ride though it and turn around back to the gates. Quality and value has gone down hill with the newest owner. Air has not worked in months, so now they removed hoses which tells me owner chooses not to fix for his customers. They show they are open, there are cars there but cones in front of lanes. No email to members stating they are closed. What a waste of 20 min round trip. They switched to fabric towels, which is great if there were actually some available to use in the bins. I wanted to give Standard Wash a second chance, as my first experience was a big cringe. The friendly attendant convinced me to sign up for a free trial membership. After a handful of terrible washes, I'm canceling it and never going back. Yep, it's that bad - I don't even want it for free. Granted, the plans are cheap - $17 a month for the unlimited basic - the washes are just AWFUL. I leave with dirt and water spots behind every time. As a side note - I've NEVER received any complementary ANYTHING, yet I see a big sign in the wash lane that says I'm supposed to get a free wipey thing and a free smelly foo-foo thing. Another bummer. Maybe I was supposed to ask for it?? I'd be ashamed to say I was the owner. It's painfully clear they do not take pride in the quality of service. First time I received scratches on passenger side of car so I cancelled my membership by telephone. The guy at the entrance told me to call. When I did left message to cancel with the account number. Been going here about a year. Done now. The wash has never been great and is frequently poor. The problem lies in the equipment, so it's not a cheap fix. Like so many places, the dryers are inadequate so you can count on wiping down the car yourself. You can also count on the wash bending your mirrors back and popping your fuel door too. I got encouraged early this spring when they changed out some of the equipment, but it actually got worse. Now it seems like there is never enough water being used before the brushes hit your car - not good. There are also a set of secondary rinse sprays that are never on regardless of the wash level. Every wash leaves residue on my window. It was close to home for me, but I will be going elsewhere now. read more

I took my sons car for a wash today. it was still dirty after the 1st wash, so we ran it thru again. I was talking to the brand new car wash guy prior to going thru the wash with mt window open explaining that we were going to repeat the wash. He then started up the wash without warning and I was directly sprayed full on in the face and eyes with chemicals. I then went and spoke to the manager, who was smirking the entire time and tried to tell me that it was my fault. He never offered up- I'm sorry or are u ok? He actually said "I don't really care". This incident could have caused serious harm. These people are just absolutely incompetent and guess what, the car was still cleaned terribly. I would avoid this car wash like the plague. if the owners tolerate management like this, it's a huge liability. read more

The car was is changing. It used to take a bunch of folks to run a Carwash and the customer had to do little but wait for their car to be ready. This Carwash is different, obviously designed to run with a limited staff. The fast food model of Carwash if you will. The concept is a combination of the traditional carwash and a do it yourself carwash. You get the choice of levels of carwash like a traditional service but upon exiting the wash tunnel where someone usually drys and wipes down your car you are in a do it yourself mode. While your car is mostly dry exiting the tunnel it's not hand dried. Want it vacuumed? While it's free, it's do it yourself. Pros: when staffing is hard to come by, the carwash can still run. If you like a clean car and you want to spend time doing the extras yourself you can ... and there is no additional costs. There are many vaccum stations available. The trade offs: if you like a full service carwash this place is not that. The vacuum stations are kind of blocked by the line to get your car washed so you may find yourself skipping that if they are busy. You can get towels to dry your car but they are in bins that are not labeled and are only available as you enter to pay. Other places using this business model have larger lots so the vacuum and drying process is more user friendly and the towels are by the vacuum stations. The towels are dry as opposed to slightly damp which does a better job. The cons: your car does not get as clean as a full service car wash. read more

Wish they had spray and towels to clean your interior for how much it cost but you its quick easy and never has given me a problem

They damaged a part of my car and claimed it was my car's fault. They said the part on my car was broken which was an absolute lie. Please keep in mind that I have been through this car wash and others many times with the same vehicle without issue. We were buying the monthly wash plan for 2 vehicles. Canceled both. Car wash closes at 8 and I hustle to make it there from the other side of town and make it there prior to close 8 and I do but they don't let me in. I have a monthly membership so I will go a little out of my way but not to waste my time there and back to be denied. Then the next week I super hustle to get there 20 minutes before close - get through the wash and pull up to vacuum and the vacuums are off. It is 745?! You close at 8. I ask the employee and with NO apology he says they automatically turn off at 745. I now have wasted my time twice to make accommodations for your inability to stay open until your stated time of 8. 2 monthly memberships will be canceled. read more

Mediocre. First reason being, there is always soap/residue left on my vehicle when I pass through. When the soap is really bad, I will take advantage of the free re-wash, which is probably why they have to offer this. At best, I have to use a towel after, to wipe off the excess soap on my side mirrors and back window (plan on getting out of your car). However, I live W. of Randall, so the location is very convenient with my commute. The second reason for this review is to share my experience with the Standard Wash customer service. At the beginning, the "standard wash team" will beg you to sign up for the monthly membership (if you don't have it), seems like an ok deal... Beware, the wash has been down on numerous occasion for "maintenance" or "upgrades" and is down today (July 18, 2018) . Further, the wash has stopped on my 3-4 times while on the belt, inside the wash. When I emailed the management about how they planned to refund for this closure (as they were not proactive in reaching out to their monthly members), they only offered to refund my monthly membership for the days they were closed. Seems like literally the least they could do? If anything changes with the "upgrades" or response from management, I will happily update this post. FYI - I've been to about a dozen quick car wash facilities around the W. suburbs and if you are looking for an amazing, high-quality, wash with great customer service in Chicagoland, check out Wash U on N. I am so happy this place changed!! Free vacuums! The soap is thick, my car gets way cleaner than the old wash here! I bought the unlimited wash pass for the hubby for Christmas he too loves it. By far the worst car wash I have ever been to. The employees were nice but the wash was terrible. I spent $15 on my wash. And by the time I got out it had already dried on my hood so I tried to get the dry marks off with a towel. And my wind shield had these weird white marks in them I assume it was soap or wax that wasn't applied properly. It was just a mess over all. I will never get my car washed their again. Freezing cold out today and I have to pick up out of the country guests at the airport Decided to get a car wash, usually my husbands job. Ordered the wash and drove up as the guy was impatiently waving me up, mind you no one was behind me and I was paused to put my credit card away and read my receipt. I drove thru and went back as per another customer advised me to get cloth's to dry of the car. After several frozen minutes I went to vacuum all the salt out only to find out the vacuum's were not working I sought out an employee who said they were being worked on and I could go elsewhere I said I didn't want to go anywhere else and felt they should have had a sign up because I would have gone somewhere else to begin with He said to come back when the vacuum was working I tried to explain I needed the vacuum TODAY and he could care less First and last time and this car wash is minutes from my home Very poor customer service to a senior who froze today Shame on you young man! read more

It appears that just after opening, they don't keep up with the wash. The device that cleans the wheels is half broke and as if my last wash the other day two of the spinning wash brushes for the sides of the car was not working. It's awesome that they keep charging customers and not providing the full service expected. I like a lot about this place but maintenance needs to be maintained. When everything is fixed I would gladly change my review. Update: this place is always down. Heaters don't work so winter time freeze ups are common. Now they are down again for the 4th time in just over a month. Getting really old. They make a ton of money on monthly subscriptions but don't keep the place up and running. Honestly this place is the best around. Michael was amazing and helped me out when I had car trouble and was unable to drive home. He took the time out of his day and really helped me out a ton. These guys do a great job. Monthly plans work out to be a good value. Watch the curbs at the wash exit, they have claimed many rims.
