I signed up for a membership and got double charged the first 4 months on both my debit and credit card despite the fact I never gave them my credit card information. Unfortunately I did not catch this issue until then. When I tried calling I was never able to get a hold of anyone despite leaving numerous voicemails. When I went to the location, they claimed to had fixed the issue each time, but I continue to get double charged. They also said they can only reimburse me $25 at a time. Each time I ask to speak with a manager they're either "in a meeting" or not there. Here I am still dealing with this unresolved issue while the business owes me $150. I am still unsure how the got my credit card information, leaving me to believe this is fraud. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and plan to file another complain with the Illinois Attorney General office on Monday. I have very good reason to believe this business is performing acts of fraud and based on other reviews it appears I am not the only one. read more

I used the service for a few years as a member about every other week and the wash was "OK" enough to keep using as a member. With the membership I was paying them money whether or not I got the car washed, so why not? However, after going to the parent company's website to cancel my membership and receiving confirmation of the cancelation, Clearwave continued to deduct a monthly membership fee from my credit card for over a year now. The dispute about charges has not been able to be resolved. My credit card is still being charged. There is no Customer Service number AND the actual site (1639 East Main Street Saint Charles IL) does not answer their phone. You can leave a message but it is never returned. Scammed me... Went there in March & the rep said if you want you can pay $17 for a 2 week only where you can get unlimited. He clarified that it was for 2 weeks. My wife was there and witnessed it. He gave me a sticker & after 2 weeks I threw it away. I've been billed for 2 months as is I signed up to get billed $34 a month. The kicker is their service costs $17 for a month if you sign up for the auto renewal unlimited. They've extorted $68 from me. I've tried contacting them & there has been no reply from the business. Such an unethical thing to do. I imagine they did this with a small batch- however if you try them pay cash perhaps... might use your credit card information to give themselves a nice little pay day. read more

He retrieved the leash and even gave me a free pass for my next car wash. Every associate that I have encountered at Clearwave has been more than kind and courteous. CLEARWAVE - PLEASE CALL ME BACK - YOU HAVE MULTIPLE VOICEMAILS WITH MY NAME AND NUMBER I have used this car wash since they opened. They originally had the best vacuums in the area, and handed out free interior wipes and air fresheners at the wash entry. They stopped handing those out when Covid happened and service has been spotty since then as well. Friendly attendants are one thing but being charged for services you didn't sign up for is another. This will remain a 1-star review until someone responds to the multiple calls/messages I've left asking for money back. There's no corporate contact info on the website for support. The only option you have is to call the number or stop by in person. I cancelled my membership in October, only to be billed again in November. The charge didn't look right so I checked back and realized they had been charging me 2 memberships for the last 7 months. I understand that good help is hard to find these days and I'm grateful for those who show up to work, but I blame training/billing software for this one. Regardless, be careful when you give them your card info. It has been more than once that they billed me incorrectly. Another time that I signed up for an unlimited plan (for my wife), the offer was to pay for a "Works" wash and first month would be free (other than the first wash). Staff was outstanding. Website listed a interior wipe and scent would be provided. When I asked, only available from vending machine. Sunday morning staff provided me some wipes for letting them know. her consideration makes for a return customer. Floor mat cleaner is for dry sweep. Didn't really help with winter rubber mats. I did those myself at home. Bring cloth to dry car and one for Interior clean. You do own windows. Use pre wash for bugs. I bought 2 for one deal for max level as an entry level tryout. Again. i was approached by a smiling attendant as I was choosing my car wash from a menu in St. Charles. He offered me a great value to get this one car wash and unlimited washes until the end of the month for the same price as the first. Pay for one and get the others included. Seemed like a good deal until I discovered that I was signed up for the max deal charged to my credit card monthly without my authorization. I finally noticed 3 months later after looking at my detailed bill and tried futilely to call and get this resolved. No answer in spite of repeated attempts. My original poor review should be reconsidered. Clear Wave stepped up and provided me reimbursement for the minor damage caused to my vehicle. An inexpensive piece of trim was damaged and their Vice President contacted me by phone and agreed after a very brief discussion to provide me with reimbursement for a replacement part I had already found on Ebay for sale. I will admit that my initial correspondence from management in St Charles was completely unacceptable, however Beau at their corporate office was very attentive and more than willing to take the steps necessary to correct the situation immediately. BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER PLACE !! My husband and I went out there for a quick car wash last Oct. 10,2022. The guy was trying to sell us for a membership for monthly car wash which we declined. Then after over a month (Nov. 15,2022), we got a notification from Mastercard that someone is using the card at this Clearwave Carwash 3 in St. Charles at 5:50 A.M. when this place was not even open and we're at home in our jammies having coffee. The worst thing is we have to dispute it with Capital One Mastercard in which they are not very helpful at all. Very disappointing! the wash is good but.......Clearwave brushes tore the drivers side mirror off my 2014 X3 and took no accountability. they said upon their review, their cameras showed my mirror had a "gap" "based on wear and tear" on a on an older car. My car has 62k miles, is pristine, has never seen snow and doesn't even have a dent! the mirror is the same as the passenger side and is tight as it was form the showroom. no one looked at the car itself, just their video camera. Don't go there unless your car is new. read more
