Wheaton Car Wash is everything one would look for in a car wash: it's (nearly fully) automated, fast, and does a solid job. If you're the average person who likes to get a car washed every so often then you should check this place out. They really couldn't make it any easier or customer friendly. There are a handful of free vacuums, they have several different packages that range in price, and it doesn't take long at all to have your car shining. Normally I get the Ultimate with the Tire Shine added and it's great. However, I usually don't wash my car that often so it gets pretty dirty. I need to go more often and try out the lower options because it really amounts to basically the same wash with a few added features (like rainbow foam... whatever that is/does). The bonus is that you can buy washes ahead of time for a reduced cost, something I also need to try. If you're in the area then swing by and get your car cleaned up. They told me it would take a few hours which I expected, but I got a call a hour later saying it was done. I went to pick up the car and all my mats were drying on what looked like a piece of scrap metal. A couple of them had been turned over drying in the ground. I got in my car and it was generally clean. But if I looked in the cracks of my seat it was obvious they hadn't vacuumed. There were still crumbs and dust in every small crevice of my seats. It's $20 that way.. but I had a $2 coupon for the full service wash ($10-$2) which was good for an exterior wash where they power wash you before the wash and hand dry after. But they have cheaper options too. Get the coupons from their web site first. The set up is a little different and I wasn't sure who to tip.. so in a great show of frivolity I tipped everybody. (They guy who dried the car and the guys that did the inside) When everyone was smiling and waving and saying thank's for coming.. I think they meant it. You pull around back on the west side of the building, pull up to the obvious spot and go through the wash.. after the dude dries you off.. easy exit from there... if you opt for interior services (I wanted winter the HELL out of my Jeep) then you drive around the the east side of the building and enter the building again... I was pleased with the service... most of the time I would just do the regular wash.. but I got a haircut that day and was going for that full fresh spring feeling. It worked! I saw them using a disgusting towel - which looked like someone's soiled underwear that had been worn for a full year without washing - and scrubbing it across my brand new truck. I almost puked. The owner told us to continue to the car wash and then pull around back when we were done. My dad and the owner proceeded to talk and we just wanted them to take responsibility for what they had done seeing as they just broke something off our car. The owner said "the driver is at fault" with a hostile tone. He was treating us so awfully and rudely. Then he proceeded to say "it's a $5 car wash". Just because it's $5 doesn't mean that it's okay for our car to be broken. The least he could do was at least refund us for the car wash if he refused to pay for the damages that HIS car wash had caused. My dad then asked for his business card which he flat out REFUSED to give! The owner went to his office and when he saw my dad walked toward it, he LOCKED the office and left. We decided that it wasn't worth our time to stay there anymore seeing as the owner hadn't even apologized and had treated us with hostility. The first time I came here, I wanted my seats and carpets shampooed. The guy wasn't sure he could get it clean for me, but he tried anyway and did a great job. I knew I would come here again the next time I needed the shampoo/carpet clean. With Spring and a change in the weather, I decided to come back to get my seats and carpets cleaned again. The service was much less friendly this time and I agree with other reviewers who stated that paying customers seem to be a bother to this place. I will never go to this car wash again. My car was damaged to the tune of $1250 while it was detailed here. When I went to pickup the car, the manager on duty hastily said, "you already paid, right?" as we walked over to the car. I had not paid. At this point I have to believe that he was hoping I would jump in and drive away before noticing the giant gash running along the driver side doors. This was not a scratch, it was a gash. I noticed right away and confronted him about it. His response was, "I just got here, I have to ask the morning guys before I can do anything." I asked that he have the owner call me. The next day the owner called me and I went back to the car wash so that he could look at it. It was clear that he wanted to try to convince me that there was no way it could have happened at his shop. When we parted ways, he said, "I'd like a little more time to think about it, and I'll call you tomorrow." That was on a Monday. Needless to say, no call came Tuesday. I called Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Each time the person answering the phone would tell me that the owner isn't around often and that employees were not allowed to release his personal contact information. I finally received a call from the owner on Saturday. He explained to me that there was no way it could have happened in his garage and that he was sorry we didn't agree on that. Unfortunately for me (and for any other sane person) the only way to prove (legally) that it did happen there would be before and after photos... well who takes photos of their car before they have it detailed and washed?? Guess what? Paid $100 for interior detailing and car wash. After a day, We smelled something terrible and found out the interior is not fully dry. Smelling like a wet carpet! So we called and they told us to come back. You know what they did? They vacuum it and told my husband that there is nothing they can do. They recommend us to open the window and turn on the car for 45mins so it will dry fast. What a bad service. I will not recommend this place. It really looks like and smells like I have a brand new car again! He is a dedicated hands-on owner, who really puts effort into making the business clean and professional. I had the value detail service done to my car, and when I arrived to pick up my car (5 hours later when the website quoted 3 hours), all of my brand new, custom floor mats were missing. I've been a customer at Wheaton Car Wash for about six months and have always gotten a wash and full service. The staff is very friendly, quick, and the prices are very good. I got a full interior detail this weekend, and while the actual detail was very impressive, it took about 28 hours to complete so I had to dock one star from the rating. I dropped off my car at around 1pm on Saturday on the first warm day of the year, so they were really busy. However, I had no problem leaving my car overnight and picking it up the next day. I was told I was the only customer who left their car, and the detail still took until 5pm. I assumed that since I was the first car that needed service in the morning, it would be done around 12-1pm, depending on when they opened. I was very disappointed at how long the service took, but it was still worth the wait. I have recommended many friends to this car wash. You just can't beat the $10 full service upgrade and it only takes about 10 minutes! Also, there are coupons on the website for different details and full service washes. I don't have a printer, and they honored them when I mentioned I saw it on the website. Definitely worth going to! read more

Half the time I don't even know what I'm paying for bc it's not displayed very well where you pay. I can't even reach the kiosk to pay. I also paid an extra $3 to have my tires shined and after I pulled away I realized they didn't even wash my tires. They still have the nice gentlemen to dry your car when you pull out, but they seemed to be rushed by the next car coming out.
