That all changed one Saturday when we were in NJ, and browsing Yelp for tile stores in the area. We found Marco and Ideal Tile of Edison. Marco spent over two hours with us on our first visit, and many more hours with us as we drove from Brooklyn to Edison several weekends in a row, was extremely patient with us, helped us brainstorm the entire layout of each bathroom, spoke with our contractor to explain the design, was available for any follow up phone calls. He was even kind enough to call them to make sure they had what I was looking for so i didn't drive out of my way for no reason. Vito Tile Depot was one of the few stores we went to that has tile on site as well as a show room rather than just a show room. They have close out tile for as little as $2/square foot as well as high end pieces like the other fancy show rooms. My favorite part of Vito Tile Depot was that they actually have prices on most of their tile so you don't have to ask for prices on every piece you MIGHT be interested in. There was a very friendly girl who greeted my husband and I when we walked in then Vito came out to introduce himself and offer us espresso. Don't waste your time going to the stores with fancy show rooms where you'll get the exact same tile but for much higher prices than what Vito Tile Depot has to offer!

In general, it was frustrating to have to keep spelling out all the details of what we wanted, correcting errors of understanding and the like.
