I'm surprised Metal Shorts doesn't have the reviews it deserves!…read more We went to a few places in SODO, before hurrying in to Metal Shorts. Thankfully we found exactly what we needed for our project, and John (operations manager) was incredibly helpful and expedient. He even suggested ideas to help us make our project more cost-effective, all in the matter of minutes before closing. The space is compact, clean and organized, nothing like your scrap metal yards. The unfortunate part is that they may not be a one-stop-shop for all your metal needs, so it's best to call ahead and check. The shop is located beside the Boeing air field and they have a cool logo/sign outside the office, so you can't miss it!

I hate to write this review because I like the owner himself, but my last 3 visit from this shop…read moreresulted with me not being able to make it back home. The last incident happened when I came back from getting my fuel pump replaced (second time on "fixing" the issue) fuel was leaking from a regulator piece with half a capped on. The bike began to leak so much fuel (in front of my back tire) that I was losing traction, luckily I was driving slow due to heavy traffic. Losing traction at any speed on a motorcycle can result in serious injury, or even death. That's when I pulled over and saw the leak. So I had to push the bike (on i5) from the middle lane, all the way to the right. When a new mechanic look at the bike, he was shocked to find out how poorly the job was done and was even surprised I was able to survive on it. I spent over $3,000 at this shop in the last 3 visits just for me not to be able to drive the bike home. The bike also looked like it was dropped as well because I had a lot of new scratches that were never there before. Very disappointed, especially with the owner I liked.
