This restaurant is an excellent addition to the food desert in Lula and provides options without having to drive to nearby cities like Gainesville or Cornelia. PARKING There is a small lot in the front and street parking AMBIANCE/SEATING The restaurant has plenty of indoor seating, tables, and booths. There are two rooms where all of the tables are situated. I'd say there are roughly 16 tables total and bar seating. The table tops are wooden with a splash of festive, colorful streaks. SERVICE the staff was friendly. My party arrived around lunchtime on a weekday and was seated right away. Water/drinks and orders were all taken at a reasonable time. FOOD -Chips & Salsa: They were complimentary and delicious. The chips were fresh and warm. Salsa isn't spicy; it's typical slushie restaurant salsa. -Queso: The cheese dip portion was huge. It tasted good. It was very runny initially due to how warm it was, but the consistency thickened as it cooled down. -Combo #10: I didn't order this, but it tasted good per my SO. This combination consisted of one beef burrito, taco, and enchilada. -Enchiladas Mexicanas: I ordered this plate, and there was a ton of food. The main star of this dish is the cheese enchiladas topped with shredded carnitas (pork), sliced onions, sliced green bell peppers, and smothered in queso. The sides were a small salad (lettuce & chopped tomatoes), guacamole crema, sour cream, and Mexican rice. Everything was good, but I was hoping for more pork on the dish. The rice portion was heavy-handed. Overall, it is a solid restaurant to grab some good Mexican fixing. Their menu is extensive, and they have a bar; you can't beat that! Also, you seem to get a bang for your buck with the entrees/food here.

To be honest I only come here for the wings, and the bar was set pretty low given that about the only place to get wings in Oakwood is from under a heat lamp at the grocery store. Wow what a difference, I started with an order (10) of half buffalo and half spicy chili, both mild as I didn't know what their heat level was at here. Wings were still crispy after the drive home even with all the sauce, darn tasty as well. I've now upped the heat level to very hot and they pack a punch. The space isn't much to look at, but it's clean and well lit. Definitely worth giving them a shot, I might even try something other than the wings at some point. Enjoy!

Bad choice. It was like the texture of the sole of an old shoe. So tough! The salad wasn't much better, consisting of mostly the whitish core of the romaine head, way too much onion and carrots, and too few tomatoes. Their credit card print-out doesn't give an option for a tip, so I felt lousy about not having cash to tip. The guy behind the counter was busy tap-tapping on his cell phone and didn't bring me my food despite that I was sitting at a table with a drink and wanted to dine-in. He made a grunting sound to indicate that my bagged to-go salad was sitting on the counter. Maybe their typical meals are taken to-go, but I ate mine in the restaurant, a small, drab interior with little to coax me into wanting to return, unless I should do so to try out the wings.

Standard Service in Gainesville, GA is an absolute gem! I recently met up with my best friend at this charming establishment, and it was an unforgettable experience. As someone who typically follows a strict health regime due to health issues, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try their savory-sweet masterpiece, the 'Danny's Donut Burger' - and let me tell you, it was beyond amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by how perfectly the flavors of the burger and the donut complemented each other. The combination of savory and sweet was a delightful explosion of taste. What made it even better was knowing that Standard Service partners with the locally owned business, Danny's Donuts, to create this culinary masterpiece. Supporting local businesses adds an extra layer of satisfaction to the overall dining experience. Not to be outdone, my friend ordered the Standard Burger, which was a classic delight. The juicy patty, the fresh toppings, and the perfectly toasted bun created a burger that hit all the right notes. We decided to split both burgers and share the experience, and it made the meal even more enjoyable. I can already imagine Standard Service being a fantastic spot to visit in every season - from the vibrant colors of autumn to the refreshing warmth of spring and the sunny days of summer. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. I am already looking forward to returning soon to indulge in their delicious offerings once again! read more

My lobster rolls were delicious and the amount of lobster that came on the roll was perfect. I'm not a fan of sweet potato fries but their sweet potato fries are delicious especially with their honey mustard. We brought our kids with us and this restaurant didn't have any high chairs which was a bummer for our baby. They also didn't have a kids menu but were able to serve our older child with a smaller portion of the chicken finger plate. It was 12:10 PM on a busy Wednesday lunch rush but our server was super attentive and took our order within a few minutes of us being seated. Our food order was on our table, fresh and piping hot before we had time to start on our drinks. The boneless wings were tender and juicy, and covered in sauce. The fries were hot and fresh and tasted excellent. The blue cheese dressing had large chunks of blue cheese and was spot on. It is a clean and comfortable dining room with a wood interior and is warm and inviting. While we normally order bone-in wings, they can be messy, so we opted for the boneless on this trip, and they were amazing. Best wings we have had in Georgia. While this is a trip from home, I would definitely make the trip when we are in Gainesville for the service and food we had today. Definitely a five-star experience in all categories. Staff continued to check on us during our meal and we had our check paid and were out the door at 12:45. Our entire meal and drinks came up to $10.69, which was plenty for us to share.
