The service was great! Sweet people. BUT the food was not good. My friends got the Salmon & I got the garlic parmesan wings. My Wings tasted and smelt like fish... I alerted our waitress, & I was told the cook used the same oil that was used for the fish to cook my wings. They were breaking food code violations, which could be reported. read more

Used to be great, but now the food is disgusting, the last 3 times I've been here, my burger was way overcooked to the point where the meat crumbled like sand when I bit into it, the bacon was like rocks (I had to take it off my burger because it was so hard I thought i had bit into a toothpick) and the bun was soaking wet. In these last few times the Philly cheesesteak has also seen a massive decline in quality, the meat on it genuinely had the consistency of beef jerky. This place is too expensive for the food to be inedible so often, sadly I don't think I'll be returning read more

Glad they offer a brunch. Henry was our server. He did a great job. Food was awesome. The standard breakfast and chicken and waffles were great. Thank you. read more

Went here for father's day. So cute and the service was excellent. The waffles and chicken was ok, but the coffee was amazing. Definitely Will try it again read more

After hearing mixed reviews on this place we finally had the opportunity to give it a try this past Sunday with guests in town who suggested brunch Sunday. We arrived shortly after Noon to what appeared to be a slow morning, but soon the folks rolled in as church crowd arrived. We were immediately seated & only about 5 tables occupied and a couple outside. Our server immediately took our drink orders and promptly brought them. We ordered four main dishes off the brunch menu - a separate menu from their regular one & the wait began. Apparently the waffle machine is moody we were in wait. But I think the food & venue was great. So is the location. Can imagine this is also a great spot for evenings, happy hours. The food we had was excellent! read more

old service station, so neat atmosphere & huge portions (I ordered brunch and could barely make a dent in my food because there was so much)

I dont normally post reviews, but for this one, I am! My husband and I moved from Cumming and we definitely love local restaurants. This one did not disappoint. The donut burger was amazing. The quality of meat was definitely there. The broccoli and cheese, my fav!! I had the grilled chicken and blackberry salad that was soooo good!! The blackberries were just the right amount of sweetness. I will judge a restaurant based on their ranch and honey mustard and boy this place knocked it out of the park!!!! They were delicious! The taproom was so fun!!! The only con I have was the pretzel. It was a little hard for my liking but we loved everything! Service was top notch! They took my husbands burger back before it even got to us because the egg was sliding off. I appreciate that attention to detail. We can't wait to go back!!! read more

Great food. The Danny's burger double with Swiss and over easy egg. The first bite took me at least 45 seconds to snap out of all the yummyness. Then it's a knife and fork burger. A must try. The fries are hot crispy, and yummy. Got a side order of wistershire aoilo. read more

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the restaurant today. We have never had that experience at this restaurant before. The table where they wanted to seat us had a puddle under it as if someone spilled a whole glass of water (this was not cleaned up during our meal). The table where we sat was sticky, and there was a rag on the floor right next to us. The food as usual was fantastic. The hostess, a young lady, had her feet up on the hostess stand, watching videos on her phone. very unprofessional. We will think twice before we consider going back. read more

This is our second time coming here, and we love the death in Taxes Dauquiri & Summer Fling. The vibe in this Place is AMAZING I just think that they should be open a little longer than 10pm on the weekends. The Hostess Ruby is very nice and welcoming! And our server Sussie was Amazing!!!!!! Tried Standard Service with family who lives in town. The restaurant sounded fun and had a good atmosphere. Service staff was friendly but seemed a little inattentive. We decided to go to this place for the self service beer and wine taps which were fine. We also ordered wings and a burger. Staff didn't bring us any silverware or napkins. We did ask for napkins and were given brown paper hand towels instead of silverware rolls. Eventually we noticed some silverware rolls by the service counter and got them for ourselves. The chicken wings were dry and looked like they had been sitting out for a long time before they were served to us. Carrots and celery were limp and dried out as if they had been cut two weeks prior. Burger was okay and fries were greasy and cold. Would not recommend. read more

We went on a double date and order Phillys and Hamburgers (ordered them medium). They were so charred they tasted burnt. No reason stood out to ever visit again. The Phillys were good though. read more

Food is always good. Service is good. Prices are good. Go for the southern burger. It's a cool spot, checkout the downstairs.

Excellent fish and chips, very good portobello mushroom sandwich, and the kids loved their meals! Great service too.

I have nothing but good to say about this restaraunt. Service was great. Food was awesome.Everything taste like it fresh.Lots of flavor. Good variety on menu. If you want a GREAT EXPERIENCE go to this restaraunt . read more

Lunchtime visit to standard on a Friday. Restaurant less than half full. My son Ordered hotdog and I ordered a standard hamburger, medium well. Food came out within a reasonable amount of time, considering the crowd. On picking up the hamburger I noticed uncooked meat around the outside edges. I turned the hamburger to the other side and took a bite to reveal mostly raw burger. The one waitress, who was working by herself, finally came back by and I asked if there was a chance the burger could get put back on the grill. She said "I will get them to just make another one for you". Fair enough. That order was apparently at the absolute end of the list, as many other people received their food while I waited. Burger finally came back and was cooked to a medium well color. Wasn't bad but just a basic burger. Took over an hour for lunch. Burger and a hotdog. The waitress came back over with our check and asked if everything was OK. I responded that it was the second time around. She responded that "we cook to FDA regulations" upon looking at the check, I realize that she had written down medium when I had asked for medium well. The manager had taken the charge for the burger off, but then apparently she had put the charge back on the bill. Standard is apparently sub-standard now. Won't go back. Kind of a shame. read more

Ambiance is fun! Great food and friendly service. Mostly fried food and quality sweet tea.

We ate here for the first time & it was not terrible. We almost gave it a 3 for the food. But our server got our order a little incorrect b/c she did not write it down (which I hate). My husband & I both got hamburgers - which were good- but my husbands burger was substantially smaller than mine both being a single patty. But he said the bacon burger was good for being small. The fries were mediocre at best, and my son's chicken tenders & my other son's wings were greasy - their was a puddle of grease at the bottle of the plate. I will say the place is adorably cute with outside seating & indoor seating. read more

Cool place with nice outdoor dining space. It's a little tight inside, so we like outside the best. The food is really good but a bit pricey for what you get. The downstairs has a great taproom that you drink with a wristband scan. We didn't try this, but plan to in the future. They also have an outdoor space downstairs with TVs. This would be a super place to watch a game. An overall enjoyable experience! read more

Service extremely slow. I think they are short staffed. Cinnamon bun is fair at best. Outside was very crusty. I prefer a soft bun rather than needing a knife to cut Avocado toast was fair. Avocado was creamy rather than lumpy. Burrito w chorizo was good. Probably going to try other spots for brunch. Bottomless mimosas were good when you could get them. read more

We decided to eat at Standard Service on a Wednesday evening after my grandchildren's high school tennis match. Unfortunately, the kids had to wait until all games were over so my daughter-in-law and I decided to leave before the others and get a table. It was 8:30 by that time and we were told that the kitchen closes at 8:45 so we had my son and the kids text us their orders. Even with our 'problems', our server, Henry, was gracious. It became a joke (I think Monty Python was quoted) that they were out of almost everything we originally wanted (they were getting a delivery the next day, Henry said). All our final orders were delicious, though. It was also my son's birthday and we wanted to surprise him with dessert. They were out of both desserts so we asked about ice cream which Henry brought to the table with a flourish. He was delightful, our orders were cooked to perfection and were delicious. My compliments to both Henry and the kitchen staff for being so accommodating. I want to add that we'd eaten her several times before (especially when I'm visiting) and have never been disappointed. read more

Definitely a good place to check out. Love the atmosphere there and they have some outdoor seating. Burger and fries were great!

Made reservations- arrived at 12:45 and then was informed they were no longer serving brunch although the reservation person and servers stated they served to 1:00. we were sat outside and it took ten minutes for drinks and orders. It 30 minutes later for food after being pressed several times. One table waited over an hour for a shareable oatmeal. read more

The food was really good and the service was even better! I always have problems due to my allergies but the server and the chef where both very understanding and helpful! Before coming in I was a bit scared since some reviews said they didn't have salt and pepper or parking, and I'm glad to find none of those were true or an issue at all today! Will definitely keep going here! That burger was really to die for!!!!!!!! So so so amazingly good!!!!! read more

Cute little spot for a date, enjoyed the food and so happy to have gluten free options available.

Food is good, but they have a whole downstairs area with a Pour Taproom style pay by the ounce set up that NEVER HAS ANYONE THERE! I'm afraid it's probably because it ends up being really expensive to pay by the ounce... like around $10-12 per pint/serving. If they could offer some sort of happy hour down there or lower the prices a scooch, that ends up being a little expensive for a couple of sips of cider or beer. Fun concept though and a great way to try new things if you just want to get a sip or two of each. Hope they can advertise that more and hopefully get some more folks to the in the downstairs area. :) read more

Great atmosphere, food and service! Love that it's pet friendly. The bartenders there are awesome! Our new favorite place to hang out.

Decent service, menu looks amazing but the ingredient quality needs help. It looks like inexpensive heat and eat from Sysco. Their pricing is high enough that they could source better stuff. If they improved the quality of the food, this place would be a winner. read more

I've been here twice now. The staff is friendly and service is good, but the food is a miss. It's just OK. I was expecting a bit more gourmet brewpub type food. The menu items sound great but fail to deliver anything but mediocre taste. I think they can do better. read more

Cool vibes and a great burger but overpriced. The tables beside us had a wonderful waitress; however, our waiter was awful. He never even came back to check on us after taking our order and I had to go to him to ask for the check. Fries were bland with no salt (and no waiter to ask for salt). read more

I have mixed feelings. The first time I came here was within the first two weeks of it being open. The wait for food was a little long, but the deviled eggs were amazing. The Ruben was amazing. The drink was amazing. This time however the wait for a table was 20 minutes past when they said. The eggs were still good. Had 20 minute stints to see a server. The Reuben was DRY. And the gin martini was just straight vermouth. Or simple syrup. Couldn't drink it. I want this place to be great, but currently it is not. The service was below standard. read more

We were really excited about this new addition to the Gainesville restaurant scene. We've been to Lyla Lyla in Midtown ATL several times and absolutely loved it (owner/partner is the same) and so our expectations may have been too high. Our first visit, we ordered the Standard burger and grilled peach salad. The burgers were fine, as was the salad, but the grilled peaches in the salad were rock hard. The cocktails were definitely Midtown quality and worth the Midtown prices. Our second visit was soooo disappointing. The cocktails were still good, but why aren't they using local vendors for more of their menu items? (Jaemor Farms peaches or Danny's Doughnuts). They were out of chili, the Sublime burger was just okay, and the Reuben was inedible. The bread wasn't toasted and the beef was so tough that it was untouched on my husband's plate. Despite the fact that there were huge chunks of grey meat on the platter, no one asked if he enjoyed his meal (he didn't). I'm so disappointed and am not planning to return until I hear that the kitchen has some quality control regarding what they are comfortable serving to guests. We may be back for a cocktail, but not for a meal. read more
