There's only one way in and out of the garage (that I saw). Drivers truly have to have patience and just know to let others in front of them. The parking spots themselves weren't very tight. Luckily there are little lights indicating if spots are open. They are signs for certain sized vehicles and certain number of passengers. Unfortunately, it was so chaotic and crowded, I didn't get a chance to take pictures The kiosks to pay are located near this entrance/exit. There is an app available to pay which would make life so much easier for those that come here often, available at wharfdc.com! Being that it is DC area, prices are not cheap for parking, but there's definitely the peace of mind parking in a garage.

At that rate, I could have used the hotel valet, which would also have afforded me in/out privileges. So buyer beware.

Well thought my 75" height Chevy Silverado 1500 custom "should" fit... parking garages always have a little "wiggle room" WELL... was able to park (the spaces are tight and small) and enjoy the museum. No damage done but my truck antenna was not happy with me. BUT they are NOT KIDDING. Sedans compacts maybe mini vans and small SUVs can do it but DISREGARD if you have a pickup truck or full size SUV. Fire sprinkler pipes AT 6 foot. Ended up driving around for 20minutes with literally 0 open spots (and no one leaving). Other cars were circling, doing the same as me. Ended up deciding to leave, and was told that surely, there must be spots on B4. So I went back down to B4 (had already checked), and of course, no spots. Went back up and was told I had to keep looking (not sure it makes sense to keep staring at full parking spots all day), or pay as if I had parked. There needs to be a better system to alert the attendant that the lot is full, and you should definitely not have to pay for entering a completely full lot, and not parking at all...

I think what happens is that I mindlessly walk through here as I use it as a passageway. I need to start paying attention to what is in here and keep note of it. Basically this is a mall. Like every mall just about everywhere, they are without some businesses. But, I will say this about the DMV area, even with some shops being empty, the malls still know how to draw people in. Even if it is just for the food options. This place has a ton of food options and some of the places in here are the only place in DC to find them, or at least a place where it is fairly easy to get to in order to visit the business. They got the run of the chains you would see in almost any food court. Charleys, Five Guys, Jamba Juice, Moe's, Panda Express, Starbucks, Subway, etc. But there are a lot of mom and pop stands mixed in. You can definitely find something for your lunch or a quick snack. This is one of the only places I have seen a Church's Chicken in the city. It can be a maze walking through here, especially if you arrive via Metro. But like I said, it is a great passageway to get yourself to areas without having to be outside. With the Spy Museum on the one end it's a great place to spend a day in the city. The Wharf not too far either. There are a few shops throughout as well. Mostly open during daylight hours if you need to grab a thing or two. I think the space has potential to be a more useful shopping space for people.

$10 parking on weekends!…read more Ten dollar rate all day on weekends except hubby did not know this until we were already in DC. He tried to be prepared driving in town by pre-purchasing the parking ticket on-line ahead of time and paid almost twice that $10. This was a Sunday. Oh well, live and learn. It was confusing trying to locate this parking garage, especially for first-timers in the capital city, the parking lot was hidden underground and we were looking for a garage. From 12th Street SW you enter Maryland Ave which leads to a roundabout circle and after almost making the full circle of the roundabout before exiting back onto 12th Street immediately to our right is the driveway down inside to the underground parking lot. We circled Maryland Avenue twice and before making that third circle hubby finally decided to ask a bellhop at the nearby luxury hotel, Mandarin Oriental. I sometimes don't understand why men can't admit they're lost and just ask for directions. LoL ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There was also a whole slew of taxi drivers parked in a row by the hoity-toity hotel. This public parking is located near the National Mall closest to the U.S. Department of Agriculture building as well as the Wharf by the Potomac River. Convenient location. Review #1193
