I'm retired now and no longer run, but after more than 300 miles of running and walking, my Altras were worn out. I wanted another pair for walking and hiking because I love the zero-drop design and wide toe box. I explained exactly what I was looking for, but the employee helping me abruptly told me these were running shoes and essentially couldn't help me because I wasn't a runner. The interaction left me feeling dismissed. I ended up ordering two pairs of Altras online instead, and they've now carried me for more than 500 miles of walking and hiking. It's disappointing because my first experience at Skinny Raven was outstanding. I wish the same level of service had been extended to someone who simply wanted quality running shoes for walking.

We stopped in because we were both on the hunt for work boots and Carhartt's. Upon entry, an awesome table with fishing paraphernalia, which was great to see since I've been tying flies to get prepped for the season. No fly tying supplies, but plenty of quality gear in the store! The staff was super nice and quick to offer assistance! We were browsing but the moment we were in the footwear section, there was someone there to assist with sizes. Excellent selection of workwear for women, plenty of Carhartt's and Dovetail clothes with sizes from 0-24 that I was able to see. A helpful gentleman mentioned that if my size wasn't on the rack, they'd be happy to check a small supply in the back and also their downtown store. That's was great to know, since I forgot about the downtown location. They have a couple of dressing rooms for trying on items prior to purchase. Although we didn't find boots for my husband, I did pick up some Dovetail work pants and overalls that are not only functional, but attractive too. Everyday clothes men's, women & children...blue collar work clothing, high vis, sportsman wear, boots & shoes and a nice selection of fishing gear to boot!
