My husband and I moved to Cary from south Florida last year. We rented a house, intending to stay…read morethere while we scoped out the area - but then this fantastic townhouse came on the market and we had to buy it. Next question: What to put in it? It's much bigger than our rental house - and much nicer. That said, we didn't want to spend crazy money on new furniture (we've made that mistake before) - but on the other hand, we wanted nice stuff (i.e., not Rooms to Go). We recognize our limitations, so I searched for someone who could help us with our new home - and luckily enough found Amy. She first went to our rental house (where we were still living) to see what we already had, get an idea of our colors, artwork, etc., then went to our new (empty) home. We were, frankly, amazed at some of her suggestions - amazed just because they *never* would have occurred to us. As soon as she saw our (very large) master BR suite, she noted that there was ample space to fit our existing living room furniture. She also suggested that we have the mantle in the living room (which was crazy high) lowered. ??!! We did not know such a thing was even possible. Amy had great recommendations for - and accompanied us on - furniture shopping trips (can't say enough about Cooper's - must get to their review next). She was also great for the little stuff - positioning furniture, helping organize the kitchen, etc. We could not have had a better experience and would not hesitate to seek her advice again.

When I reached out to Amy and told her what I needed, she made it happen! Finding pieces in one room that would be better in another; creating flow where corners or awkwardness had previously interrupted it; and most importantly, making this brand new space feel like our home. Working with Amy is quite a treat! She's professional, detail oriented, and has resources for whatever a home and family might need! Having an understanding of different perspectives in decor is a HUGE plus, too, as a simple mention of feng shui (which I know nearly nothing about) opened up a whole new conversation about placement of plants and honorary placement of our dearly departed pets! She has amazing energy, practical sensibilities, and a keen understanding of family functioning so she can help turn a house into a home. BIG SIGH! I adore my home now!

If you're shopping around for shower glass in the Raleigh area you'll soon discover there are…read moremultiple companies that provide the service. If you only call one company, do yourself a favor and make sure its City Mirror and Glass. (not to be confused with City Glass and Mirror) Granted, City Mirror and Glass may not have the biggest showroom in the area but their service is top notch. I tend to be OCD when I'm considering making a purchase of considerable expense so I actually spent several weeks visiting all the top rated companies and showrooms in the greater Raleigh area interviewing employees and requesting quotes. Prior to my recent retirement I spent several decades working in every conceivable arena of home renovation market so I had the advantage of being familiar with county inspections, warranties, construction permits, state and county codes etc., I already knew what factors and options should be considered when buying shower glass, from the different types of glass, to the various water spot prevention systems being offered. I had each company come to my house, take measurements, explain what they could or could not provide and submit a formal estimate. Each company was given the same requirements as to what I wanted from the hardware finish to the desired height of the glass. I also maintained a detailed spreadsheet during my research so I could perform an apples to apples comparison between companies, their offering, prices and what they could or could not provide per my initial request. Fact, several of them bent the truth when explaining why their products or services were better than what other companies offered. Two of the companies interviewed said, due to the custom construction and layout of our shower "no shower glass company" could install glass the way I wanted." Four of them said they could provide "most" of what I wanted but the custom elements would be at an additional expense. Ramone at City Mirror and Glass was the only company that said they could provide all elements of my shower design without ever implying there was anything unusual about the layout Even more surprising, the price estimate I received from City Mirror and Glass was easily one of the better estimates I received and a bargain considering I got everything exactly the way I wanted. We have a custom designed Neo angle shower and were forewarned by "other vendors" to understand that Neo angle showers tend to leak around the door. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. Mike and Ce'sar (sp) like all the other employees as City Mirror and Glass were professionals. They took great care and time making infinite adjustments to all the panels and door clearances. We've now taken well over a dozen showers and are happy to report not a single drop of water has escaped our glass enclosure. Operating with honesty and integrity my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the service provided by City Mirror and Glass. Highly recommend.

GREAT customer service, very thorough, and went above and beyond!…read more Ramon (owner) has a lot of expertise and I felt 100% comfortable with his design recommendations for my glass shower issues. I was building a new construction and our builder's glass shower contractors installed my shower door on the wrong side of the shower. This caused a huge issue because the shower door (opens outward) was right next to the master bedroom door (opens INTO the bathroom). I was stressed that the builder and his contractors didn't have immediate recommendations on how to fix the issue - they stated that since it was a frameless shower, the weight of the shower door had to be anchored to a wall and couldn't be supported on the other side of the shower on the 1/2 tile wall per original design. I spent hours on Pinterest and other sites trying to see how others would solve this issue. I found City Mirror & Glass on Yelp and spoke to Nora (front staff). She said to email pictures to Ramon and he would call me back. After he understood what the issue was, Ramon sent me a picture / example of a shower that he did that would solve the issue. Wow, all the stress immediately went away after talking with Ramon. Ramon even came on-site to do measurements in order to provide a detailed quote. He also let me know what other parts of the shower would need to be replaced, including exact number of tiles and the shower curb...which I hadn't considered! When I got the quote, it was very reasonable. Ramon also had a tile contact who I could hire separately, and offered to manage the timing for both if I hired both of them to do the work. In the end, our builder agreed to fix the shower issue with his original contractors, so I did not need to hire City Class & Mirror (this time). However, if I ever have any shower issues in the future, I would definitely hire Ramon. His expertise, honesty, and fair pricing was extremely appreciated.

I consider myself to be reasonably adept at color, but knew this was going to be a challenging room, and Barbara helped sort it all out. She was able to determine how the room was going to be used and based on that, come up with colors that would match the "vibe" we were going for. She knows an amazing amount about color, types of paint, and other things that help in making good choices. She was very professional and she worked hard to help us find the exact right shades (we ended up using 4 different colors in the room). More amazingly, when one of the colors ended up looking a little more fluorescent than the paint swatch when it was on the wall, so she was able to tell us what tint to add to the paint to mellow it and it worked perfectly! We are so happy with our room. Given the expense of painting a large room, it makes so much sense to use a colorist and I would strongly recommend Barbara!!

The medal supervisor agreed it was something they could do. They did advise me it would be 3 months out because they were so busy. This was early April. I called in September just to check and was told it was not ready yet, probably October. They emailed me early October it was ready. I went to pick it up. The person that waited on me at pick up brought the table out. I started looking at it and questioned some markings on what was supposed to be the new leg. When he went back to ask about it I was then told they could not replace it, they just repaired it. awhile he was done I started looking over the table and was astonished at the poor repair work. The work was very poor, I think a local welder could have done as well. The table is not level, the leg does not reach the shelf that would let it handle weight (all others do). I am most upset that I was not informed about the change. I could Have looked for someone else. When I picked it up they would have charged me full price if had not questioned the work. I did pay 1//2 the quote which was the deposit and way too much for the quality of work that was done. Beware because haveing a written work order does not guarantee that is what will be done.
