Love this restaurant. The quality is great. The flavor was definitely there. The restaurant it self is small and intimate. The service was amazing. What really won me over was the fact that the manager reached out the following week to see how our experience was. I didn't get a chance to speak with her but ma'am you keep up the great work. read more

Service was outstanding, and the food was really dam good, for those that complain have obviously not eaten outside of McDonald's. Ambiance was amazing. My wife and I ate outside, fans were turned on only for the summer love bugs..... the temperature and breeze were amazing. We enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere..... not a bad way to spend a Sunday brunch. Like I said...... if people complain about length of time to wait, etc.... It's only because they have never eaten at a quality restaurant. read more

This really is a hidden gem in Wiggins, we drove 45 min from the coast to check this place out and it was worth it. First thing, make a reservation on open table, this place is quaint and only has about 12 table or so and a small bar area, so dont take a chance. Now, I would recommend trying a speciality drink, mine was probably the best drink I have ever had in my life but it was also $14 a drink so choose 1 and then go to a basic drink The oysters were good but being from the coast they weren't drool worthy, needed more flavor butter/garlic flavor. The Crab Au Gratin was really good, maybe could have used a pinch of salt. The Wedge salad was good, thick bacon and the tomatoes almost tasted smoked! Main- Ribeye and Filet cooked to absolute perfection, get a steak!!!! Sides- the mac n cheese is a must but the potatoes were a little undercooked. Small touches- They gave us a corn cream of sorts from the chef to taste, homemade bread and butter (the butter was so good) and a small bite of a chocolate desert which was just the right amount and tasted so good! Overall we gave it a 8 out of 10, def check out. Bonus: They have a court yard with fire pit outside with live music, that we want to check out next time. We will be back, they have a tomahawk steak that the chef will cut table side so we want to try that next time!! read more

Perfect fine dining experience. The food was served at the appropriate temperatures. Our drinks were filled several times during dinner. Service was great and our server was attentive. The ambiance was a little loud for a fine dining restaurant but was not overly loud. read more

Food Service Ambiance HIGHLY recommend this excellent restaurant. Me and my husband went during happy hour 2-5 so they only have appetizers as the options BUT luckily their cook was back from lunch so we were offered the whole dinner menu. Our server was Michelle (at the bar) and I honestly haven't had exceptional service like this in a long time. She was so kind and tended to our every need. The drinks she prepared were excellent and very upscale. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We were even asked several times by the owner (whose name i did not catch) if we were doing well and if everything was good. The food was excellent (especially the truffle mash). Check it out if you want a great date night. Also the downtown area of Wiggins has several nice boutiques and of course the very popular "Chill Sloth" ice cream parlor. These places are right across the street from one another. read more

Everything we had was top notch. From the bone marrow starter to the key lime mousse. But the star was the 57 oz. Tomahawk steak that was locally sourced. A divine piece of meat. Staff was friendly and on point. Make reservations because the place filled up quick. There will definitely be a return trip. read more

Staigle's Steakhouse - 57 oz. Tomahawk - Steakhouses Near Me - Wiggins, Mississippi

My family and I visited Staigle's for the first time tonight in Wiggins, MS. Staigle's is primarily a steakhouse that specializes in "farm to table" menu items. Our reservation was for 7:15, and we pulled into the pretty downtown area at about 7. We checked in and were seated immediately. The restaurant is white table cloth, dimly lit, and nicely designed. Molly was our server and did an excellent job answering questions about drinks and menu items. This was truly an "all hands on deck" experience. I think at least 5 different people catered to us while we were there; refilling drinks, serving /clearing each course, and simply tidying the table of crumbs. We began with some cocktails; the Wiggins Ol Fashioned, a seasonal Margarita, the Southern whiskey sour, and the Year of the Dragon. All were great but the seasonal Margarita was fabulous and unlike any I've had before. For appetizers, we ordered the Lobster spaghetti(creamy and spicy)& the Pork Belly (sweet & savory with a little crisp). Both excellent. We also ordered a wedge salad, beautiful presentation, crisp, and delicious. My son ordered the Caeser, uniquely made but probably our least favorite item of the night. Molly saw he wasn't thrilled with it and cheerfully exchanged it for the Wedge salad. For our main course we ordered; the Ribeye, the Filet, and the bone in pork chop. We are picky steak eaters and all were perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. I told my husband that the flavor of the steak really shined through, it seemed to me that the seasoning might have been as simple as a little butter and salt. The sides are served family style and we tried the Mac N' Chz, the Brussels, and the Lyonnaise potatoes. All were tasty compliments to our meal. Finally, for dessert we had; the Sweet Tea Crème Brûlée (a real show stopper), strawberry gelato, and chocolate bread pudding. While all were good...I really wanted to eat all of my husband's Crème Brûlée. The restaurant also served a few complimentary "extras" that we really enjoyed. An "amuse" which was like a tiny corn casserole in a single serve jar, some really delicious dark brown bread with/butter, and some tiny blueberry tarts with crème. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I struggled with whether I should write a review or not because I don't want to have trouble getting reservations for my next visit. read more

We drove about 40 minutes to try this steakhouse we kept hearing about. Service was good. It was a small location, tight squeeze. Lots of Patrons, so they would benefit from having more space. The steaks were pretty good, just a tad too salty for my liking though. Drinks and appetizers were good. It was a good experience and I would go back again. read more

We both had fillets off the board. Food was great and the service was amazing! It was a little loud but thats caused by the small space and its construction. read more

This is a really good addition to Wiggins! This is a small town with the best people! Parking is a bit of a challenge. More like city parking. There is no parking lot. It's a nice place. Smaller in size but that's what makes it quaint. We were with a group of 7. But would make a nice date night! The servers are very very attentive! It definitely equals a large steakhouse in the bigger cities. The wine selection is meh. Some of those are bottles only and waaaaaaay overpriced in my opinion especially for the area. The food is good. Again, overpriced for the area but in line with the steakhouses in the casinos on the coast. Some of the items are farm to table so I do love that and don't mind paying extra. The sides are definitely shareable. 2-3 people can share and probably still have some left. Several of the entrees come with sides and it's a lot of food. The experience is great! The ladies room is clean and fancy. No paper towels in there! Only washcloths to dry your hands! If I had to pick what my favorite thing is I believe it would be the service hands down. If you are looking for something special in Wiggins or nearby give it a try! And there is an ice cream place across the street! Small towns!!! Love them! Cheers! read more

Love the food steaks are great the potatoe salad omg LOVE IT !! Service was awesome as well

Nearly a perfect experience. I only have a couple of cons, so I'll hit on the pros first. We had a party of 6 to celebrate some birthdays amongst friends. We had a reservation for 6:30 but got there around 6:10, we were seated immediately which shocked all of us since this is such a busy place. From the time we walked in, until we walked out for the night, we were treated so well. The wait staff is phenomenal. Never had better service anywhere. Both friendly and professional. We were given a one bite appetizer courtesy of the chef for choosing to dine with them for the evening it was so yummy, fried tofu with a soy glaze. We also ordered some of the menu apps, the fried pork belly and the duck wrapped jalapeños. I preferred the pork belly personally as I love it cooked in any form and I don't typically enjoy duck but this was pretty good, just not my style. The rest of the table enjoyed them both equally. I had a Caesar salad and it was okay, nothing mind blowing but still good. For an entree I had the house filet. It was a petite filet topped with crab meat gratin and served over some roasted broccolini. The broccolini was outstanding, that was my favorite part of it honestly. Here comes the first con: I ordered my steak medium and it was well done. If it had only been my husband and I dining, I would've sent it back. But since there were other people in our party who were getting quite restless waiting, I decided it was fine. It tasted great, just wasn't done like I had expected. Back to the pros! For dessert we all shared the crème brûlee and tiramisu bread pudding, both were absolutely incredible. After that the chef sent out some macarons that I believe were vanilla, they were also delicious. One last con: it was very cramped and very loud inside. If you prefer a quiet and intimate spot, I would not recommend going. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience for sure, but it was hard to hear each other talk and if you leaned back too far or moved your arm too much, you would hit the person at the table next to you. I think they could get rid of 3 or 4 tables to give a little more wiggle room. Overall this was a good experience and we all said we would be open to going back for another birthday celebration next year! read more

Has a very disappointing lunch this week. The soup was a very small portion, not completely warm, and so salty it was almost inedible. Ordered a Cobb salad and was served a wedge salad. When I pointed out what was missing (avocado, eggs, cheese, etc ) I waited over ten minutes for the additions. The chicken was dry and obviously microwaved- not freshly cooked. Such a disappointment!! Waited at least 15 minutes for dessert- it was the best part of the meal though, so I guess it was worth the wait. These wait times were with only 3 other tables being served. Very overpriced and underwhelming "fine dining" experience- I've had plenty of fine dining and I'm sad to say this just isn't it. read more

First class dining in such a small cute town. This restaurant puts Wiggins on the map.

My husband and I have been wanting to try Staigles since it opened. We finally got around to going, and we took our 6 month old along with us. Firstly, the staff were AMAZING. They were all so kind and on top of service. The waitress even accommodated a dessert request for my husband (an affogato). Secondly, the food was great. We got the scallop appetizer special, house filet, spiced gulf fish, and honeysuckle crème brûlée. Everything was cooked beautifully. The filet didn't even need a knife. The crème brûlée was better than most restaurants! Fhey followed it up with a coconut macaroon as a final bite. It was perfectly chewy and delicious. For drinks, my husband got the sazerac, and I got a glass of the Caymus. I've never seen anywhere else that would even consider pouring a bottle of Caymus wine by the glass. His was a bit sweet, but I loved the wine. Finally, the atmosphere was very cozy. The musician playing the saxophone and singing was so sweet and talented. It is not a quiet restaurant, but it's certainly not too loud to have a pleasant conversation in a normal voice. We enjoyed ourselves so much we didn't even take any pictures of the food. One of the better restaurants in the area for sure. read more

Staigle's Steakhouse - Steakhouses Near Me - Wiggins, Mississippi

My husband and I made the trip from Biloxi this weekend for my 40th birthday. Overall, it is a quaint semi-fine dining atmosphere with a nice ambiance and live solo band music. It is small, we had a reservation though and got right in so can't comment on the wait time. They did seem full at dinner time. I ordered the seasonal margarita (orange creamsicle or dreamsicle I believe). It was delicious, but I will say after having a glass of a sweet wine prior to coming and two of those margarita's I definitely felt fine. No buzz at all and I RARELY drink. It was very good, but I didn't taste alcohol at all nor did I feel effects. So, if this is something you desire this drink wouldn't be the one to order. My brother had been recently and told me not to get tap water as it didn't taste well for that area so we did get bottled spring water. They did not have the steak tartare despite it being on their online menu, which was the sole reason I wanted to come. That is a dish that is hard to find around this area. We ordered the blue crab au gratin instead and it was very good. The initial wheat bread brought to the table had a whipped honey butter that was delicious and another type of more savory spread (I think it was butter as well) that also was tasty. My husband ordered his ribeye medium and I order the 10oz filet medium rare and they were both cooked to perfection. Mine had a nice exterior crusted sear. I added a little of the remaining blue crab au gratin as a topper and that elevated the flavor even more. The filet was very good and my husband also enjoyed his ribeye. We had two sides: the lyonnaise potatoes and asparagus. the potatoes were okay, but I have had better at another fine dining steakhouse on the coast. The asparagus was very good though. We ended our meal with the cheesecake (it is a very small portion, but delicious) and the chocolate bread pudding as pictured. Yes. It is chocolate bread turned into bread pudding. You read that correctly. It was amazing! I joked and said I came for the steak tartare, but stayed for the chocolate bread pudding. I've only ever had chocolate bread at a small bakery in Maine. I was so happy to have found this and it was absolutely amazing! Even better than your standard bread pudding with whiskey sauce. The service was excellent. All staff was very accommodating and friendly. You are greeted immediately with warm smiles. Odd to comment on I know, but the newspaper wall tiles in the bathroom were really unique. I loved the way the bathrooms and dining area were decorated. Nicely done! 4/5 stars due to not having the appetizer I was looking forward to having after so long (and it being on the online menu and my brother had it just a few weeks prior) and the weaker cocktail I had. Otherwise, everything else was great! You will love it. The prices are what you would expect for a finer dining establishment with an a la carté menu. read more

Staigle's Steakhouse - Chocolate bread pudding - Steakhouses Near Me - Wiggins, Mississippi

The food was cold and steak overcooked 1/10. The service was excellent and the atmosphere 10/10.

While the restaurant is clean and the staff are good, the food was not. My wife's steak did not have any visual frills ,was overcooked , and was very salty. My steak also salty but did appear to be cooked correctly. Even my son's burger with egg was too salty. The manager attempted to make up for it with dessert which is the only reason we gave them 2 stars. My son got a crème brûlée which was cold. It's a hard no for ever wanting to go back read more

We drove up from Gulfport, heard that it was good, so decided to do the Mother's Day brunch there. We got there, and our table wasn't even ready, even though we had reservations. So they put us at a table by the kitchen, had two water glasses when there were three of us. We waited for almost 25 minutes and nobody would acknowledge us at all. They were setting up for a big party coming in. Finally my husband got up and went and got the manager. She took our order so that it could be put in before the big order came, and filled our water glasses with water, and we told them we needed one more glass, so it looks like they just grabbed a glass and used tap water because it had no chill to it. They brought us out biscuits that were so hard, and so cold, we could not eat them. I ordered spanalis au poivre, which was supposed to be ribeye, but she said they didn't have any ribeye so she would bring me a filet. For $45 I got one slice of filet meat!!! I ordered Lyonness potatoes which was supposed to have caramelized onions and butter on them, there was nothing but spices on them. I said something to the waitress, and she said that it doesn't come with caramelized onions, but I saw on the menu when we left that she was wrong! We have gone out to dinner at many fine dining establishments that have been very good and the service was very good, but this place was the not. Our waitress had no interest in us whatsoever. She was not very professional in appearance nor personality. My husband and dad were so upset that they just ordered hamburgers. We have never been out to eat with my dad without finishing everything on his plate this he left a lot of food. And, with all that, there was a fly flying all over the restaurant! He would not settle down! We ended up skipping dessert and drinks, and going home! We did tip our waitress 15% because we are not the kind of people to not leave anything, but I felt she deserved nothing. She didn't even serve us our food. Someone else did. Needless to say, my Mother's Day experience was not good. read more

Easily the best restaurant in the Pine Belt. It is high class but you get what you pay for.

Great service. Great food. Nice people. You need a reservation but everything went well.

I made a reservation one week in advance with high expectations after reading some very attractive advertising about this so called " Steakhouse " First Impression; the restaurant is new fairly elegant and clean but very crowded and laud with live music. Service is absolutely a nightmare and waiting times are like in the Great Depression for getting a day job. We waited more than an hour for a little bowl of crab soup and a house salad. The soup supposed to be light and creamy this was heavy and salty like prepared for canning. The worse was yet to come and to our disappointment the entrees were absolutely disgusting and horrendous in price. I actually have never seen an uglier burger and ribeye steak in my life!!! The fries were dry and salty like everything else! The food is absolutely disgusting!!! this establishment doesn't deserve any stars it deserves a Closing!!! I love people way too much and want to save them from disappointment and tragedy!!! God help us all if such places are allowed to open!!! read more

I usually don't complain about a restaurant, but I really think I need to comment on our dinner experience here. I'm not real picky, but the food wasn't that great. The few things that were good was the ambiance, waiter and bartender. We had soup as an appetizer. The French onion soup was as thick as gravy and my she crab soup didn't have a good taste and hardly had any crab in it. My husband's bone marrow was just ok. I can't remember what entree he had, but it came with fries that weren't cooked long enough. They were real soggy. I had the filet steak which was ok but looked real lonely on the plate. It could have had garnish or a side with it. If you wanted a side with the steak you had to pay extra for it. The worse part was the dessert that I got to go. I ordered the hummingbird cake. It was three pieces the size of a poker chip of what was gummy like bread pudding. It had a few pieces of pecan, pineapple tidbits and sliced banana's on the side. I expected a slice of cake and sure didn't expect what I got. I sure was disappointed with our dinner, especially after paying $200. We've gotten steaks and sides at another restaurant in town and paid half that amount. read more
