The woman who worked with us during the appointment was really friendly, not pushy at all, and had some great suggestions after I told her what I was looking for. My biggest problem is the setup they have with Blackstone Caterers (who I do love). When you go they won't tell you any pricing! So you aren't sure if the linen you are picking out is in your budget or not. Basically you fall in love with a linen and then find the price out about a week later when Blackstone emails you. Then, which of course I figured this would happen, the linen price is a little higher than you wanted to spend, but you have also already feel in love with said linen. Sigh, #brideproblems! I do wish they had a few more napkin options in the color I was looking for. I wanted a true blush pink and they only had a bubble gum pink and more of a mauve. Not sure if the blush wasn't a popular color, but I find that hard to believe. Once you have selected what you think you will go with, they very nicely put together a little swatch card so you can have everything you picked in one spot. If you are ridiculously obsessed with every wedding detail like I am this is perfect since you can occasionally (or say at least once a week) glance back at the card to make sure you are happy with all the materials and colors. If you have a huge budget you can really go big here! They had beautiful charger plates for example, but for $7 per plate (that is right per plate) for something that people don't even eat off of there is no way I could justify that one. But if you have money to burn they have some beautiful ways for you to do it.

In the past I bought a few specialized bulbs here for a pendant light system in my kitchen. The details were on cardstock, heavily faded (looks like the same display for years). Employee was minimally helpful, unable to find a similar fixture in a catalog. (Basically, you sit down and just look at their catalogs). I had a fairly specific set of features, but he flipped endlessly. Finally I asked him about the fixture on display. He had to cut the tag off with scissors (clearly no one had asked about that for years). While I continued to wait, I looked around the store. I was shocked. The bulletin board was full of poltical cutouts and vile jokes. Parading radical right wing support like that in a business is certainly bound to alienate customers, and it did me. I will not be going back. Keep your politics (demented or otherwise) out of a business setting. In RI they are alienating about 70% of the public. I told the guy at the computer never mind, I don't do business with companies that are willing to politically alienate their customer base. Never going back.
