To say that I love my hair is an understatement. I want to take my hair off and lay next to it, chatting the night away until we both get sleepy and our sentences trail off into cute snoozes, then wake up and get breakfast together in our matching Ugg boots. I want to get a bicycle with a sidecar and go cruising the boardwalk with it, ending with a bottle of wine and cheese sandwiches. I've been coming to Stacy for awhile now but just for quick cuts and my usual boring assortment of being boring. A super pretty girl I know said she goes to Stacy so I was like, hey, I want to go where super pretty girls go and maybe get some of that Cinderella sparkle too, so I did, and like, this is it for me man. My hair is what hair people call "stubborn Asian hair" which is totally not racist, it's just TRUE. Stacy figured it out and mastered the mix to get my hair to this beautiful ashy blonde ombre. Stacy listens to what you want, asks for pictures, and is seemingly thrilled to do your hair, like no matter what. She loves unicorns, and those collectible rubber ducks so basically she's adorable. Her hair is purple, green, teal, blue, and 'other'. She has beaming eyes and a smile to match said unicorns and rubber ducks. She comes from a magical pixie fairy cotton candy land, and it shows in her bubbly personality and love of doing hair. Indulging in meaningless gossip and life stories makes the time fly by. I needed a haircut and the shaved design on the side of my head touched up... and I needed it done ASAP. Not only did she squeeze me in for an AMAZING cut that was perfect for my wavy hair, she also woke up super early and walked me down the block to a barber shop where an amazing dude, Oscar ("OTB 818"on Instagram), shaved a sweet design in my head AND gave me a sweet price! Stacy is truly one of, if not the best colorist/stylist I've ever gone to. I'm a picky blonde to say the least. I am all about the cool tone blond over the warm, golden blonde, and she nails it every time. Stacy listens to your needs, evaluates your hair, and comes up with the best approach. One of the biggest differences about Stacy then other stylists I've been to is she is all about keeping the integrity of your hair and even making it more healthy. So as blondes know, all of our highlighting causes major damage, however, since going to her, my hair has never been so healthy. She highlights the same pieces of hair each time, allowing the non highlighted hair to get healthier and stronger. In addition, Stacy makes you wait a minimum of 9 weeks (depending on your how your hair grows) for your next appt, in order to be sure you have enough growth and don't highlight to close together. I've struggled with my hair breaking off, not growing, and since coming to Stacy, my hair is stronger, longer, thicker and overall more healthy. I'm getting married in 4 months and Stacy has been incredible. She's talked me through how I want to style my hair, what my color goals were, and together we planned out my next few appts. She's even doing tape in extensions for me which I'm SOOO excited about! If you are looking for a stylist who listens, has major skills, and is super affordable, check Stacy out. What a miracle worker!!! Turned my lifeless confused hair into beautiful curls!!! I was so terrified of cutting my hair into a short bob (because of my curly hair) no one thought it was a good idea!! She contacted me before the appointment and asked me to style and dry my hair as I usually would do before the appointment.
