Finding a doctor who actually takes the time to understand how a specific medication will mesh with your lifestyle and body is rare. She's incredibly thorough and has been very accessible via the patient portal whenever I had follow-up questions. The nursing staff also deserves a shout-out. They are wonderful and very understanding. During my last visit, one of the nurses gave me some great, practical tips for managing my allergies, even sharing what works for her own kids, which I really appreciated. The Cons: My initial experience was a total nightmare due to insurance hurdles. While that isn't the fault of the practice itself (third-party insurance is the absolute worst), it definitely made the start of my journey here rocky. More recently, they've implemented a new sign-in sheet process. Since this was a change from previous visits, I mistakenly thought it was only for new patients. When the front desk clerk asked me to sign in, she responded with a confused look and a bit of a rude tone. It was a minor friction point, but a little more patience for returning patients adjusting to the new workflow would go a long way!

Herbert, but you'll get great service either way. In late May I had a terribly painful stomach ache. I called on the way to their office and they took me in immediately. Dr. Tigges came into the room and knew it was something very serious. Within minutes, Damon took me to the E.R. and after intestinal surgery the following day, I spent another 11 nights in the hospital. I can only imagine if I tried an Urgent Care facility if I would have made it to the E.R. so quickly, if at all. I'm now recovered from the surgery and back to my normal activities. Melayna runs the office so smoothly; we didn't have to wait to see the doctor nor on our next visit to visit Melanie, the nutritionist. She too was impressive and gave us great info including recommendations that were pretty simple to implement right away. Be aware..this doc is all about making patients go through unnecessary tests, procedures, and…read morescans. Not only that but she does not work with patient and/or patient's family members - even if they are physicians. Basically it is her way or highway as far as patient care goes. And her patient care is not good! Straw that broke our trust in her abilities is when we took my mom for symptoms and instead of evaluating her condition, doc kept blaming other specialist (that she had referred us to go see). And next day our family doctor figured out that my mom's symptoms were from interaction between two medicines - one of them Doc Bakhtari had just prescribed few days ago. However, the doc never bothered to review the medicines for possible causes and on top of it referred us to go back to the same specialist for more invasive procedures.

Also, Dr. Agha refers out if it is not in her expertise, which I much appreciate. She is a very likable person, kind and empathetic. I cannot say enough about her and her staff.
