She was so patient and thorough during my first check-up. She had a laptop with her in the exam room and entered everything in right then. She made sure she had all the information about any and all physical complaints I had. She listened patiently and I didn't feel rushed at all. She offered suggestions for all my problems and printed out a list of everything for me so I didn't have to try to remember. She was very kind but down-to-earth and pragmatic. She asked my opinion about how I wanted to pursue treatment and I felt like I was in control of the decisions. She seems genuinely concerned about my progress and even calls me at home to check up on me. And the best part is that she doesn't make me wait or if she does she is sincerely apologetic. The office is clean and modern and the receptionists are happy and friendly. It's easy to make and appointment and their website allows you to email your doctor with questions. I really feel like I have the best doctor. I've never had a billing problem with them either. They bill my insurance and there have been no surprises.

However, when it came time for my refill after 60 days, I was told I had to come in and pay $145--for what? The medication works fine. I followed their instructions back in December, refilled my meds in February, and now it's May and the same issue again. With inflation and the rising cost of living, who can afford to pay out of pocket every time just to get a refill? And let's not even talk about the cost of the prescriptions themselves since I haven't met my deductible. Please explain why an in‑person visit is required for refills within a 60-90 time frame? Every refill requires another appointment, regardless of whether the medication is working. It honestly feels like they are milking patients. I only see these people for one thing yet they want me to come in for other services. Why? I only want to see you for one thing. They then said, I would need to show them proof of getting wellness services else where. Why? I don't have to prove anything to you'll. I only see you for 1 thing. So why the hold up. If the money went toward improving the office, it might make more sense--but the place looks untouched since the day they moved in, likely back in the '70s. It's old and outdated. Trust me--if you value your time and money, go somewhere else. Find a provider who cares more about patients than padding their pockets. GREED IS RUNNING THIS OFFICE.

IT UNPROFESSIONAL when I'm trying to as them a question and they either have so much pastry / chips in their face they can't answer ( which they find SO funny the more annoyed I get and don't even apologize for it, they just whine and say to the other co-worker, " I woke up SO hungry this morning, I cannot wait for lunch) or they are chopping in someones ear while on the phone... and I have also seen this open coffee cups and drinks with no caps next to your CPU stuff, bad move because what happens if that happens to get knocked over by mistake, no more appointments for at least a day maybe two... why? because open containers are not supposed to be there in the first place!! Not to mention I've been trying to get thru to your office for 10days now, I've called in the early morning, mid-afternoon, mid morning, 30min after lunch, I am CONSTANTLY put on hold for a minimum of 15min then hung up on all I want is an Appointment!! I have been a patent close to 2 years and have access to the doctor anytime. I fell recently on a Sunday night and ended up in the ER @ local hospital and CT scan showed a lot of problems, but no fractures. Dr Heldridge personally answered his cell phone when I fell --he asked many questions and then said to go to the hospital and call him afterwards, no matter the time. It took 6 hours at the hospital and I left feeling worse than I had before entering the hospital. If there were more than 5 stars, that's what a great doctor he is and his assistant, Allison, keeps the wheels moving and has an innate ability of helping, when she can. But sends messages to a Dr. H if you need his vast knowledge and lifeline of caring for his patients over at least 40 years of expertise. I would recommend Abundant Family Care to anyone who has ever felt like a number and a debit card at their own Primary Care Physician's office. You will never be treated like such with Dr Heldridge --possibly the last of his kind.
