They cleaned up completely when the job was finished and other than having a new, beautiful roof...you would never know I had so many contractors at my house last week. I received a "cold call" from a company claiming to represent Best Roofing Now. The company that…read morecalled said they were with "Roofing Contractors Network" and that "they would be in my neighborhood to do a job next week" - but couldn't tell me which neighborhood, street, or neighbor that had the work being done. They did provide the name of this company that they were representing, as well as the address. My number is on the do not call list, and I have never done business with Best Roofing, or the Roofing Contractors Network. I would not recommend any business that partners with a cold call agency, especially when they do not bother to check the do not call registry. I can only hope that a negative review will cause the owners to reconsider using a cold call agency in the future. Recommendations and quality work should be enough to gain business, cold calls will drive it away.

My husband & I are from California. We had a rental in Jacksonville, NC. In September 2018…read moreHurricane Florence hit; our home did not flood but was badly damaged, eg: roof damage, collapsed interior ceilings, etc. The damage to homes caused by Florence was extensive in our area and my husband & I realized supplies and contractors would be in short supply. So, we made the decision to pack up our Ford pickup w/tools and supplies along with our 26' RV trailer in tow, and 2 dogs, we drove from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, NC in 5 days to meet up with our claims adjustor. We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies. After several days of cleanup and hearing discouraging reports that supplies and contractors were in short supply, our ray of light and hope emerged when we met Carey, the owner of Under One Roof Construction. I had seen him drive up to inspect the roof across the street from us. My husband & I made it a point to talk with him to see if he could help us out. We immediately took a liking to Carey. Knowledgeable. Easy going. Established family business. Carey, gave us a reasonable roof estimate; we gave him the job. Carey brought out his roofing crew, some who had been with him over 10 years; you could tell how they instinctively worked together. They installed a new beautiful roof. He and his crew were very professional. They picked up all their construction mess and used a magnetized roller to pick up any roofing nails in their work area. We were quite impressed w/their roof competency, products, and warranty that we asked Carey if he had a construction crew who could help us with the damaged interior work. Carey, again, came through; he worked us in to his VERY tight schedule. So, we contracted w/him for the interior damage caused by Florence, including interior sheetrock tear down, installing new insulation, rehung new sheetrock on the ceilings, interior priming and painting, etc. Carey and his crews did all the big stuff. We are forever grateful. 3 months of exhaustive labor took its toll on my husband (70 yrs old) and myself (64 yrs old). The events that led up and followed with Carey coming to our aid was literally an answered prayer; a small miracle. In addition to Carey, we recognized several small miracles during our Florence trip including our drive back home when our truck broke down in Anniston, AL a week before Christmas Eve....but that's another adventure, for another day.

Let me start this review with the disclaimer that I did not end up using Evergreen's services. Due…read moreto price constraints of insurance only covering our interior repairs costs due to a roof leak, we had to stretch our budget and found a slightly better quote. However, I thought it necessary to give Matt at Evergreen a big shout-out for his estimate process on 9/11/18 for several highlighted reasons: 1) Aside from the roofer we went with, Matt was the only other one who investigated the leak from the inside. I had offered the same option to the first 2 companies who gave estimates, & even to the insurance company's roof inspector, but all declined. Plus, Matt asked about looking at the interior of the leak area before I even advised of the crawlspace option. 2) Matt only sold me on fixing just the leaky area and resulting rot, rather than re-flashing the whole roof line, which had been the go-to (and more expensive) fix thrown out by others. 3) Matt was generous enough to throw together a makeshift patch while he was there, since Hurricane Florence was approaching that weekend and we weren't going to be able to get the leak fixed ahead of the storm. 4) Above all, Matt was nice and respectful, and gave off a very trustworthy vibe just from a few minutes of interaction. A re-read of his other reviews showed many experiences similar to mine with above & beyond work, but without overselling or fixing unnecessary things. Although we didn't go with Matt for our project, you can feel confident if you choose him for your roofing needs!
