Was in a car accident and the police called a tow truck for me before I had the chance to call my own. The driver of the truck was extremely rude and seemed inconvenienced that he had to come assist someone in their time of need. I have never dealt with something like this and innocently asked if he could take my car to the insurance approved auto body shop. He stated, again very rudely, that he could not without getting paid out of pocket. I asked how much and he told me $292. Obviously unable to pay that fee, he started getting frustrated with me and becoming even more rude. I finally was able to get ahold of my insurance and they told me they could tow my car from his impound lot to the auto body shop. I called the autobody shop late day the following week and they still had not received my car. At that point i called the insurance to figure out what was going on and they told me i had to call the tow company and give them a verbal authorization to release my car to them. Seemed reasonable enough. Well i called the company and stated my first name and told the person on the phone that my insurance told me i had to call to give verbal authorization to release my car. The person then says "your good" and hung up on me. Didn't give any info on who i was, other than my first name, or any info on my car or the insurance company picking up my car. All in all a terrible company to do business with. And a piece of advice, do not ever let emergency services call you a tow truck, get on the phone with your insurance and arrange your own or you will be in limbo for an extremely long time. read more
