The Verona St. Vinny's is one of my favorites, mostly because the store is clean and the staff are friendly. The selection is usually pretty vast and I enjoy coming here. I've gotten a great antique glass lamp, added to my depression glass collection, and it's a great place for nice picture frames and great women's clothing tops. Their shoe section is nicely organized by size, and they have good items pulled in their fancier cases up front. I think their prices are decent and I've not ever walked out with nothing. read more

I went to two St Vinnie's looking for a pole type lamp and didn't find any at all. However, having just moved here I know where they are now, one is gigantic and the other smaller. My first time to this thrift store. Nice open parking lot. The drop off donation area was great. Drive through the back, pull into a warehouse, an associate will help off load your items, fill out your tax receipt and be on your way. Decided to take a gander inside. Pretty well organized and a little bit of everything. The clothing selection was decent. Would've definitely liked to see things organized by color. There was a "fashion" section specifically for more modern clothing. The kids clothing was pretty limited. Lots of dated furniture, housewares, and toys. I probably won't frequent this place too often for shopping, but I like SVDP's mission so I will still be donating. The pricing wasn't too pleasant. Wanted to get a top until I realized there was disguised ripped holes. $75 for a fisher price doll house in a box! What. A. Steal. read more

One of my favorite thrift shops in the area. Always clean and well organized (for a thrift shop). Prices are more than fair on most items. The selection is wide. The staff are always courteous and helpful. Just a fun place to browse. I almost always find some little "treasure" when I go here. The one thing that almost cost a star was that it seems like their bathrooms are out of order more than they are available, so I'd make sure to "go" before you go. Otherwise, I love this store! read more

One of the best St Vinny locations in the Madison area. Great selection of shoes, clothing, housewares, etc. J never leave empty handed - some of my favorite finds include Sorel boots, Anthropologie brands, and outdoor gear like Lululemon and Patagonia. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! read more

Excellent staff, selection, and quality of slightly used clothing, furniture, books, movies, etc. although I live in the opposite side of the county, if I'm near Verona (within 20 miles) it's always worth the stop! Then I checkout all of the St Vincent stores I passed on the way Back home! read more

I've been to quite a few thrift stores over the years. This one wasn't that great. The selection of merchandise was pretty picked over and the prices for what was left on the shelves was crazy! I looked at a sweater that had a stain on it and it was marked $15! I picked out another one that I may have purchased, but it was marked $24.50! For a generic (no name brand) sweater. This is not a boutique store, so why the prices as such?! I went into the household area to browse around and saw a few items that were clearly broken still on the shelves with high price tags. The art selection on the walls was ok... but the prices were crazy! There was a quality painted piece that I would have bought, but someone who priced it decided to put the price tag on the painted surface of the art. The employee tried to get the tag off and ruined the piece. I've definitely experienced better. It's a bummer that I have to give a St Vinny's a 2 star. I was given a recommendation from a friend to check this place out. I don't know why. Maybe it's gone downhill since he was there. read more

I usually love going to St Vincent's but when I came across an item I have been looking for for a long time, a steamer trunk in good condition, I was told it wasn't for sale because, "she brought it from home for display." If you are going to have a display box or shelf in a thrift store don't make it something unique that someone may fall in love with unless you are willing to sell it. Please keep your amazing PERSONAL items at home in your own collection so you don't dash someones hopes. read more

I've been shopping at St Vinnie's for years, have donated tons of items to them. However, I have to agree with Jake who wrote a couple of months ago. Not only are prices unreasonable, St Vinnie's does not provide any info whatsoever about its merchandise (unless the person who actually donated the item included a note with the item), unlike other thrift stores. When pricing their items, why can't they just include a brief statement about the item? Someone interested in a collectible item is actually better off shopping at an antique store/antique mall. I've compared numerous items at St Vinnie's with antique dealers, and not only do antique dealers have better prices, they provide complete information about each item, and they usually have a selection of similar items. St Vinnie's also uses the worst price stickers. I explained to one salesperson that I would not be able to remove the sticker without damaging the wooden it was on. She flippantly said that the sticker should come off with no problem if I just soaked the item for awhile. No other thrift stores use stickers that cause damage to items when removed. While I'll likely continue to donate there (actually just dropped off a load a short while ago), my shopping days there are over. read more
