Madison seems to have 3 types of thrift stores. Goodwill, St Vinnies, and those run by churches…read moreand/or church ladies. This is the latter type, and they all seem to be very similar (Bethesda, Agrace, etc). Less crowds, traffic, anxiety, and clutter than Goodwill and St Vinnies, but also less selection. Check back regularly and you will find some treasures. For the most part the prices are fair. If I specifically need something, I start with Goodwill, because I have the best chance of browsing. But I dont always feel like stopping in Goodwill just to browse. Versus it can be very peaceful to stop in Boomerangs, or similar. I've probably been there a dozen times since they opened, and bought something 3 of the times. They have furniture, which not all thrift stores carry. The staff has always been helpful.

They do not have a 1/2 price sale on certain items everyday like all other GW stores. Just on Sunday and Monday. Rude staff & no rewards card!! First & last time I'll go.

With some extra time in Madison between my Frank Lloyd Wright tours I figured I would check out…read moresome of the local thrift stores, luckily Agrace Thrift Store was close to my motel. Located in strip of shops I found to be Agrace to be a very nice thrift store with a good selection of upscale items. The selection of clothing is a bit limited, but they were doing work to expand the shop into the store next door. Agrace did have a nice selection of decor and home goods, including some really unique vintage items. I found a nice older Mexican wood carving that was very reasonably priced and had to buy it. Agrace is a very nice thrift store with some really good items for sale, well worth a visit to see if you can find something you like. A bit upscale, but with good prices so check them out.

Everything was clean, organized, and easy to browse through, which made shopping such a nice experience. I love that they carry a wide range of styles and sizes, so there's something for everyone. It's also amazing knowing that the money goes toward a meaningful cause. The staff were super friendly and helpful too, which made me want to come back even more. I'll definitely be shopping here again soon, it's the perfect spot to find unique clothes while supporting something good.

I haven't attended one of their makers' markets yet but the concept seems really great. I highly recommend Brass Tacks Resale if you're looking for a special, beautifully painted furniture piece to add pizzaz to your home.

I highly recommend checking out their website to see current items in the store, they have a lot of nice pictures showcasing what's currently in stock and it's great they seem to update it regularly. Prices (but not dimensions) are also listed on the website so it's nice to be able to check out the items before you drive in to visit. Per a blog post on their website, it seems the consignment portion of their shop will be ending in 2018 to be replaced by monthly vendors - they describe it as an effort to showcase local artisans and think of it as "Etsy in real life". So that hasn't started yet but could also be neat to check out mid-spring. All in all, it's worth stopping by because they certainly have taste for nice items. You could get anything here from a wall-hanging gift for a friend to a custom painted unique dresser.

I picked up a few beautiful hand-knit blankets, a sturdy framed mirror and a piece of art- a fantastic etching.
