It's right on 9th near The National - FYI, 9th is a one way street so you may have to go up 10th for a block and loop back around. The name on the door is "BC Modern Furniture" and they're open Fri-Sun from 10-4. In addition, they run estate sales and host one day flea markets so check their website for upcoming events and sales. If you visit the store, know that it's mostly mid-century furniture with some same era collectables thrown in. It's not a huge place but it's very, very well curated. This is some of the nicest looking vintage furniture I've seen in town - lots of sideboards, dressers, end tables and some truly glorious sofas. Prices are commensurate with the quality - a big 2 piece sectional sofa with immaculate original upholstery was in the $600 range. That said, they're willing to negotiate so if you see something you love, have the conversation. The Mister grabbed a fun Maifest stein and a vintage German decor mag from 1964 for $10, so we left happy. They are adding things all the time so if you're trying to up the hipster cachet on your sweet Bay View bungalow definitely check them out.

He drove down from Milwaukee to Racine just to sit with us, talk and give us a lot of helpful info. We didn't really have any items that he deals in but he still sat with us and was very helpful. We offered to compensate him for his drive with gas prices so high and he absolutely refused. I would recommend contacting him if you are interested in the services he offers!

One star is too much credit. There should be negative numbers for this so called business…read more They had a sale in Wauwatosa this week and as I was finishing up looking in the basement all of a sudden this girl comes down and says "we are closing" and blocked the entry to one of the basement rooms to stop me from going further. I looked at my phone it was EXACTLY 4pm which was their closing time. I found this very rude and unprofessional and made the visit extremely unpleasant. I like to visit estate sales to kind of stave off stress but wow that business sure isn't customer service driven.

If I could go - stars I would. One star is too much credit…read more This business changed it's name to avoid terrible reviews. It used to be Open House Estate Sales. ( look it up,it will show up with ONE star, but for some reason the reviews are not on Yellow Pages.com anymore?? I think the company can have things pulled if they cry enough) I was one of 3 that reported theft by employees. The prices they sell high dollar items for, to regular followers, is obscene! No family members were to be present. People, never sign a contact stating something like this! I disagreed with my siblings on this issue as just being ignorant. I sold alot of high Dollar stuff for more than they had priced, by Hundreds of $$$. I went anyway. Sure enough, I caught them with a bathroom full of items. When I questioned it I was told I am not allowed in it. Really?I grew up there! The punk running it and I started to have differences of opinion and he actually called the cops I told them I wasn't leaving and they could arrest me. I called my fiance to leave work, self employed in Oak Creek, so we could both watch over this Heist. I slept there that night to watch over stuff, I sleep prepared at all times and the next day they left and told my family I was brandishing weapons. Well yeah I guess I kinda was. No Police report exist to this statement. I could go on n on people but I think you get it. Unscrupulous Crooks! The employees and their clientele are not top of the gene pool people. Fair pricing, clear organization, and a calm, enjoyable experience (which is rare in this world) make every sale worth showing up for. But what truly sets them apart is the heart behind it. This is a hardworking family, and it shows in the way they treat every home, every item, and every customer--with genuine respect. As someone with an average household, I appreciate being able to find beautiful, unique pieces at prices that actually make sense--without turning to big-box stores or paying for shipping. It feels good to support a business that values both people and sustainability. They're not just selling items--they're giving pre-loved pieces a second life and keeping them out of landfills. If you see their name on a sale, go. You won't regret it.
