Saint Timothy's is a phenomenal school! We've been a part of this community for 11 years, and as…read moreour twins get ready to graduate 8th grade, we couldn't be more grateful. The teachers and staff are incredibly dedicated, and the faith-based curriculum has allowed our 8th, 6th, and 3rd graders to truly blossom. The academics and community atmosphere just keep getting better. Highly recommend to any family looking for a nurturing, Christ-centered education!

I went to St. Timothy's from 1990 - 1994. While I really enjoyed the religious aspect of the school…read more(their religion classes were top notch) the educational portion of the school was questionable. I begged to be let into public school like my neighborhood friends the last three years of elementary school and even as a kid I was blown away by how much better the local public school was. You would think a private school would have more resources than a public school but this is not the case in Fairfax County where our education system is ballin. Many many many moons later, I had a friend who enrolled her kid in a private religious school and ended up moving him to public school a year later for the exact same reason I stated. The one thing that was awesome / appalling about St. Tim's was their utter disrespect for healthy school lunches in the 90's. They literally would cater our school lunches from McDonalds, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. Oh memories.

33 YEARS OF BEING A PART OF THE RESTON COMMUNITY…read more As the number of families and Catholics in Reston and the surrounding area increased dramatically in the late 1970's, Bishop Thomas J. Welsh realized the need for a second Catholic parish in Reston. On July 5th, 1979, Bishop Welsh created the parish of St. John Neumann. The parish was named after St. John Neumann. On June 28, 1982, the 550 seat church was dedicated. It is located on the 18 acres of parish property off of Lawyers Road. Growth in the Reston area continued at an amazing rate, and soon attendance exceeded the 550-seat worship area. On May 23rd, 2004, the community gathered to celebrate the Dedication of the new worship space (seating 1150, with the original 550 seat church remaining as a secondary worship space). ... Vicky and I have been members of the St. John Neumann Catholic Community since the mid 1990's. We met here, we attended Mass each Sunday here, we married here in 2000 under Fr. Joe Brennan, we said farewell to our parents here, and our family & faith grew here. St. John Neumann is a warm, vibrant, and welcoming community with great diversity within the parish. It was this warmth that encouraged me and accepted me as I converted from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) to the Roman Catholic faith as part of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) at St. John Neumann. We have met so many friends here, we have participated in many community events as we ebb and flow as members of the interfaith community. Dinners, health ministries, Bible studies, and hypothermia shelters have opened our eyes to the needs of our community as we try to give back and share God's grace with others. St. John Neumann Catholic Community is a wonderful and welcoming family. Welcome home...
