We used to send our son to a home care, but we knew when he was ready for a bigger daycare for a more structured and more social environment. Though there are many other great daycares around the area, happy hearts was the most affordable for us. While that was the initial draw, we soon learned that the teachers at happy hearts were really energetic and happy to be there. Our toddler son loved his teachers ms. Amy and ms. Veronica. He learned so many songs from them and would talk to us about how funny his teachers are and how nice all of his friends are. He is that one kid that won't participate in a group activity or a group circle time... but he quietly is absorbing everything in the back. Ms. Amy and ms. Veronica accepted him as he was and patiently worked with him. We miss them so much. Literally almost teared as we said goodbye. We sent our daughter from 10 weeks. I was so sad to have to drop her off at such an early age, but I had to go back to work. The infant room teachers are all so calm and nice. We especially loved both ms. Hina's... our daughter has major stranger danger and she would go to ms. Hina every morning with two arms stretched and a huge smile. The infant room is always so calm and you can tell the teachers are sweet and truly love babies. She never had a diaper rash and she never got sick. All in all, we recommend. Sure, it doesn't have the super intense curriculum or high tech security that other more expensive daycares have, but the kids are cared for and my kids really loved their time at happy hearts. Every time we got on Centreville road, my son would ask excitingly, "are we going to happy hearts?" I would recommend it if you're looking for an affordable place that cares for kids. If you can afford more expensive places, then sure go for it. But this one fit our bill and we did not regret our decision one bit! We can only hope to find a daycare as good as happy hearts here in California.

We were looking for a smaller environment where the classrooms felt more at ease (as calm as a childcare center can be). We have been blown away by the center and their approach - our child has blossomed at the center in ways we hadn't see before. Overall, this has supported his social development and learning. Overall pros - the center maintains smaller class sizes but also stability in their teaching staff. This is consistent in that as long as the teacher isn't on vacation or out sick we consistently drop our child with the same teacher and pick up with a different teacher in his class. This has been a game changer compared to our previous experience. The only con is that since the center is smaller they don't have an app but the parents still get regular daily updates from the classroom about what the kids are doing and get tons of photos.

Honestly, it's really hard to trust a service like this with your baby, especially in a city away from home. I had a few things in place so I could keep an eye on my daughter throughout the day, and because of that, I know she was genuinely well cared for. Alison from The Educated Babysitter was great. She arrived on time, took my daughter on walks outside, changed diapers, and kept her happy and comfortable throughout the day. By the second day, even the hotel staff knew my baby and would stop to say hi. The only reason I'm taking the time to write this review is because I know there are other moms in similar situations trying to balance work travel and motherhood, and trusted childcare like this can make all the difference.

Celebree Reston has a beautiful, clean and secure brand new facility. Mrs. Josephine, the owner, is a great communicator and creates a very warm and welcoming environment for children and parents. As first time parents, we were initially nervous about allowing any non-family members to care for our baby, but our daughter warmed up instantly to the caretakers at Celebree Reston. She is always happy to be there, and I can see the warmth and love that the staff have for all the children. We are so grateful to Ms. Carol and Ms. Noor for taking the best care of our baby girl. We really appreciate that there is a "plan" that parents can see for every day, which helps us to know that our child is getting the enrichment needed for healthy brain and physical development. I love that they take the children outside twice daily in their secure playground, and the app is so wonderful so that I can know what's going on with my baby while she's at daycare. I would have put her in this school from the beginning had there been a spot for her but knowing what I know now, I am not surprised that there was a waiting list. I had my child in another school when she was 10 weeks old until we moved her to Winwood. From the first day that I brought her to Winwood, I saw an actual difference in her. At the end of the day when I picked her up, she was very alert and engaged. I could tell she had been actively engaged by the teachers and environment all day. So what makes it so great? Here is my top list of reasons: 1. The teachers are WONDERFUL! They truly treat your child as their own. They also help new parents like myself navigate the different development stages (such as rolling over, crawling, using a sip cup to using a regular cup, sharing, etc...). 2. The facility itself is warm and inviting and each class room is well laid out, maintained and decorated. My daughter goes into the classroom and immediately gets immersed in something. 3. They have solid security features. They have a passcode to get into the building, a check in/out system and security cameras in all of the rooms that parents and family members can view. The grandparents LOVE being able to peek in on her throughout the day! 4. The curriculum. I know my daughter is less than 2 but she has learned sign language, animals and their sounds, colors, and more. I love that she gets to play but is also getting educated! 5. The level of communication with the parents. I love the consistent emails and newsletters from the administration and teachers. 6. And finally did I mention the teachers!!!!!! They are all so wonderful. Just when I thought I would never be able to like her next set up teachers better than the ones in her last class room, I always have. So if you are looking for a daycare...look no further! You MUST go see Winwood at Reston!

Our daughter attended Common Ground for almost four years. She had great teachers all the way…read morethrough. Nothing just positive things to say about them. So why 1*? The leadership. Let's start with the so-called "parents boards". Last I checked, half weren't even parents of kids who were at the center anymore. There is no election, no terms, no organization. The board president apparently is in charge of appointing board members. She will ask for volunteers- don't fall for it. Even if you apply, you will probably get ghosted. They are supposed to be in charge of hiring and monitoring the administration. So let's talk about that administration. The first executive director during our time here was let go for unclear reasons. Then they hired "Mr. G", who seemed to be quite close to the board president. And he ran this place to the ground. Tuition raises were common without explanation- but suddenly front office staff has brand new Macs, his friends are hired as admin, and he buys a brand new house. They randomly open a second location nearby the first one- seems it was owned by another buddy of his. They change food providers without reason to one that serves junk food- turns out it was because they were behind on paying the original one! Then finally he was let go/ quit- who knows, no one could get the story straight. From everything the board spun to the parents, he probably should have been charged with fraud and embezzlement, but the board declined to since they hired the grifter. So besides the finances, how did this impact our family? My daughter's transitions between rooms were completely botched by a constant lack of communication. Then when the second location shut down, they moved all the students over, and the original location was completely overcrowded. They moved one classroom into a make-shift room in the main hall and had to share it with much older grade schoolers. By the time COVID hit, we were about ready to pull our daughter out any way, so the decision was easy. If Common Ground reads this, don't bother trying to make excuses, you know all the above is true. I hope for the kids' and the amazing teachers' sake, they turn things around eventually.
