Jury duty! No one…read moregets excited about jury duty right? Wrong. I was actually excited about my first ever jury duty subpoena. Having only been to this courthouse once before, I was glad to actually get a chance to walk around. There was nice artwork done by local artists on the walls. It must be nice to relax and stare at the art on the way to trial. The courthouse is three levels. Various parish offices utilize this building as well as criminal and civil courtrooms. Although the building is nice, there are a couple of issues. The main issue is the lack of available parking. When you report for jury duty at 9, there are very few places to park. I was told a parking garage is planned, but as of now, I was forced to park in a muddy field. The other issue is the lack of wi-fi. When serving jury duty, there is a lot of waiting around. Wi-fi would make the time go by. While I wouldn't recommend going to trial here, it is a good place to serve on jury duty.

It was the NOLA P.O. who kept sending it back. However, it took a lot of doing on my part and it took a priority mail package 12 days to get to NOLA from TX. The package, according to the tracking and according to my mother, just arrived. I hope the costume is worth all this bother! I was assured yesterday that it was going back to sender, which was fine by me at that point. At first, when I saw the tracking this morning that it was in NOLA, I thought it was making a third back-and-forth across Lake Pontchartrain but they delivered it!
