Do not come here. People will just stand in the office and refuse to come out to help you.

Terrible place to send anything I sent a first class letter out its going on 9 days and it was only going to Maryville Tennessee should only take 3 maybe 4 days i will never set foot in this place again those papers were very important read more

I absolutely hate having to come here. Don't expect to be seen for a passport appointment because they will cancel it and not tell you until you show up!! Also can never get in touch with anyone with this office. so unprofessional and unorganized. read more

My mail carrier from the Covington Post Office are horrible and lazy. They leave packages in the rain. They cram large packages into my mailbox and bend the door to get it closed. They leave large soft packages in my mailbox with them hanging out while raining. I get mail for houses that are not mine. My mail is sometimes lost, and I never get it. read more

New year, new cheer: the USPS Clerk: 6, working hard at the counter was inviting, kind, and helpful and made my experience plus 6 others before and after me, 10/10. I need to go in-person to USPS often running my business and I can say, with confidence, that my first experience at this location was stellar. Without a doubt, working for USPS is a tough job; not for the weary and it has to be frustrating to deal with 1) every overly bureaucratic and complex requirement for each parcel + 2) humans. Thank you to Clerk: 6, today: Jan 7, 2025 for making everything as painless as possible for the both of us. Swimming against the ocean's current will wear you out identically to choosing (yes, it's a choice you make) a disgruntled, irritable, or grumpy demeanor while working as a customer-facing position. My hope is that USPS management and above will understand the importance of supporting all employees with mitigation plans for stress management, and angry or unreasonable customer disarmament. *Employee appreciation* above ALL. read more

The USPS could care less! They deliver your mail and packages, BUT, if they are not delivered they will do nothing about it. I had outgoing mail in my box with the flag on the mailbox UP. The mail carrier (said his name was Mark, after the 4th time I asked him and probably was not his real name) said since I don't usually get mail delivered to my address he passes me up. This is on Highway 1129 in 70435 zip code. EXCUSE ME, he should have picked my outgoing mail up. I know he isn't blind. He told me to file a complaint which he probably knows nothing will be done. The Covington post office is impossible to call. I went inside and no one cared. I am venting here as I am sure many others have problems with the postal service. We need them, they do not need us. The postal rates are outrageously expensive. This is government owned and again, they could care less. It is a sad society we are in. read more

I am receiving informed delivery by mail every day but very oftenly the mail is delivered 1- 2 days late or not delivered at all. Yesterday on the informed delivery there is a picture of an envelope and it is clearly visible a check is inside payable to *****, even part of "Memo". Today is second day and I do not have it and probably I will not have e it ever. It is a check .....!!! read more

Why is it so hard to get our Mail?! We are consistently told that our regular deliverer is on vacation and the person filling in "doesn't know the route". WTF?! Is this a joke?? We haven't gotten mail in a month!!! read more

This garbage establishment would be better off CLOSED. The Manager Bobby is useless and should be without a job. The USPS in Covington, LA WILL NOT consistently deliver your mail, nor will they consistently take your outgoing mail. We moved here from Dallas, TX and if this is a representation of Louisiana then no wonder this place is looked at as the worst state in the country. It's a real shame when a United States Postal Service operates like a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY. If we can't count on the mail to be here every weekday, then we need other options. HORRIBLE business!!! SHUT IT DOWN!!! WORTHLESS!! It should receive 0 stars. I wish we had known how BAD USPS was in Covington before we moved here. We would NOT have moved to Covington, LA if we would have known. May even sell our house and move to Mandeville just to have a proper working USPS. read more

I have gone to the Covington Post Office twice to try to mail a package. The first time, the person behind me in line was not wearing a mask. At 70 years old, I did not think the situation was safe so I immediately left. The next time, I saw the person who would be immediately in front of me in line was not wearing a mask so I didn't even go into the vestibule. I turned around and left. What will it take to require patrons to wear masks? I know people who have physical excuses are not required to wear masks, but they are supposed to provide documentation from their doctor. I doubt this is done. So how am I going to mail this package if it's unsafe to go inside the post office building? read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. Terrible post office. I ordered decorations for my wedding a week and a half before the date. On the website they kept putting off the time. They never came! They put that a delivery was attempted but I WATCHED THEM DELIVER MY REGULAR MAIL! Now it's being held at the post office. Beyond upset, I wish I could sue. Y'all ruined my wedding day!! I can't wait to leave Covington and get away from Usps in Covington!! Worst one ever! read more

***NOTE: I WOULD PREFER TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE AMOUNT OF STARS, because this post office is the worst! I've never had such horrible mail delivery service in my life! I live in a large apartment complex, and the mail is always lost, damaged, never received, or put in wrong boxes! I've submitted SEVERAL complaints via their website (which even issues a "confirmation number" which is useless. The carriers must be extremely incompetent and/or neglectful, because this happens several times a week! My doctors office sent me some important test results in the mail, sent to my correct address, and it was returned to my doctor with a yellow sticker "attempted/not known". AGAIN, THE ENVELOPE HAD MY CORRECT NAME & ADDRESS!! I've also been getting my neighbors mail in my box, some were important bills & bank documents!! Wth?! This is UNACCEPTABLE & I will be taking this a notch higher until this gets resolved. read more

If I could leave a negative amount of stars I would. This could possibly be he worst post office in the US. Words can't even describe the lack of customer service this post office provides its customers with on a daily basis. read more

I am in shock. I am posting this update to the Covington P.O. and adding a star because I know it was them who worked to get it to my new address in NOLA for me. It was the NOLA P.O. who kept sending it back. However, it took a lot of doing on my part and it took a priority mail package 12 days to get to NOLA from TX. The package, according to the tracking and according to my mother, just arrived. I hope the costume is worth all this bother! I was assured yesterday that it was going back to sender, which was fine by me at that point. At first, when I saw the tracking this morning that it was in NOLA, I thought it was making a third back-and-forth across Lake Pontchartrain but they delivered it! read more

Really tired of the lack of care from this location. As this is the only Post Office for my neighborhood, I am stuck with less than mediocre service. No less than 8 "delivered" packages missing in as little as 7 months. Tracking always says "delivered," however, nothing ever delivered. Not every vendor refunds customers if USPS confirms a delivery. A serious audit needs to be done at this location. Happened yet again yesterday and I now have to jump through hoops to try again for another refund. This location is costing vendors and customers too much money. DO SOMETHING PLEASE! Postmaster is also useless. Complaining about the carriers not delivering mail is like expecting something to be done if you call the police on speeding officers. Terrible service and location. read more

I have had several problems with this post office! 1) I had put mail on hold and when it was delivered, not everything was delivered to me. Several bills and other timely correspondence was not delivered which cost me late fees and other issues. 2) My local mail carrier sped out of my driveway so fast she flipped my metal grating and took broke a piece of the cement. I know it was her because I watched her do it. I was standing in the front yard with a neighbor at the time. 3) when I broke down and finally used the mail hold service again, on the day the mail was to be delivered they tried to give me my neighbors mail. I caught up with the mail carrier, who was having a cell phone conversation at the time, and said this is for the house next door and asked about my mail saying I was expecting something and she said she had nothing for delivery today so I will get everything tomorrow. WHAT?! I doubt I will get everything...again. read more

THE POST MASTER at this location should be fired! What a horribly unprofessional, rude and disrespectful man! I set an appointment for 2:30pm for passport services. I got there at 2:20. The line for regular service was to the door because only two people were working. They were visibly frustrated, and understandably so. By 2:45 no one had even acknowledged me standing there for a passport. Postmaster finally decided to come see why there was a line. He "helped" one lady and acted as if he was doing something to get more workers. More people came to the counter, but another 10 minutes went by before he looked at me and said the person doing the passports would be helping soon. I asked him how much longer they would be-at this point I've been there for over 30 minutes, and now I'm going to be late getting my son from school. This man looks at me and says "I don't know". I asked if he could find out because if they were going to be 15 minutes more minutes then I'd have to leave, but I could push it and wait 5 minutes. This man looked at me and rolled his eyes because I was frustrated! What a horribly unprofessional Jack ass! He did absolutely nothing to help and obviously doesn't know what he's doing to run that post office. I feel bad for the employees because it seems they are understaffed and overworked. I guess this little man has a miserable life and isn't happy being stuck in a dead end government job. I would encourage you to go to any other post office but that one. read more

I have visited this office numerous times to ship packages. The people who work here are useless, lazy, and down right unfriendly. Revision I had to go back on 2/28/17. I was asked if I needed help twice. Although the staff are still unfriendly, they handled my request efficiently. I have raised my rating to neutral. read more

They've lost several bills which caused me to incur late payment fees. The postmaster Doland Pichon is rude and unhelpful.

Postal carrier from this office routinely says packages could not be delivered (on the same day as he/she delivers mail to very same box) yet leaves no peach slip/notification. Add in how the website to schedule redelivery will not allow you to select any date for redelivery or that the package was shipped by UPS & then handed off to the USPS for this to occur & you get one very frustrated & angry customer! read more

They do not answer phone after 4 pm even though open til 4:30. When you leave a message for postmater at office and cell NO return calls. Pitiful service at post office , slow and unfriendly. Ridiculous, i would fired if I had this attitude read more

The Covington location is totally mismanaged. I have reported our experiences to the Federal USPS and have begun sharing same with Rep Scalise's Office. We receive other people's mail several times each week; some addresses are not even same highway #. Deliveries are often delayed with USPS documenting they were unable to access porch, house, etc., and sometimes the comments say resident asked USPS to retain items at Post Office. This is all erroneous. We received an Amazon envelope that was suppose to contain leather gloves. The envelope was empty. We have driven to the post office 3 or 4 times to discover where our packages, books, are??? We are told the same thing each time - leadership/management is aware there are problems on our route, problems that started several yrs ago when our longtime mail carrier retired, quit, who knows? So USPS has known for several years that whomever is carrying mail/making deliveries on our route is incompetent, losing or stealing things, lying about why mail/packages weren't delivered and yet, nothing has changed. Delivery of mail should be outsourced/contracted to outside companies, and the ENTIRE USPS workforce should be laid off. Not next year, or the following year, NOW! USPS is a lose-lose for American taxpayers. USPS is kind of like an entitlement program-it does nothing but drain the Treasury, while adding no value. We have eliminated as much snail mail as possible, and have requested with several vendors that USPS not be used for shipment of packages. I encourage anyone having same experience to contact Congressman Scalise and/or our Senators. read more

i have had many problems with this post office. they delivered a dress i ordered for homecoming to the wrong house and didnt do anything after they had tracked the package to that house. i still dont have the dress and they havent done anything to retrieve it. I received a package from them today in terrible condition. the whole thing was dented. nothing inside was harmed but youd think they would take better care of their packages and get the right address! read more

Oh my. In my 72 years I have never seen such service. Always have had mail delivery and pick up except during a hurricane(Katrina/Betsy). Well, perfect weather Saturday November 19 and today, Monday November 21.... No mail delivery and no pick up in my Normandy Oaks Subdivision for 2 regular mail days. When I finally got someone on the phone at the Columbia USPS Office I was put on hold, supposedly to speak w/a supervisor. Was on hold for 22 minutes. When I called back spoke with a gentleman named Randy. Couldn't explain no mail Saturday but said route was divided among carriers and should receive and have pickup today. Didn't happen said if no mail today call Tuesday morning and speak with Sarah. This is our USPS? read more
