An old-fashioned sweets shop with homemade candies, think peanut cluster, buckeyes, turtles, etc., ice cream and any candy you enjoyed during your youth (i.e., jujifruits, maryjanes, smarties, etc.) I opted for a single buckeye and peanut butter cookie. My husband ordered key lime ice cream and when I tasted it, I had to have that, too. Don't be like me and over order. One scoop of ice cream should have been more than enough, but I added on a scoop of cookies and cream. I probably had more than a half pint of ice cream. Key lime was so good. Cookie and buckeye were enjoyed a couple of days later. Also very good.

I love this place, can't visit St Simon Island without stopping in here. The aroma of fresh fudge and pralines greets you. I had a scoop of bourbon vanilla today, so yum.

Wanted a little snack before heading back to the room. We got ice cream and some brownie goodies. The ice cream flavors were okay. Nothing out extravagant but it was good. Prices were okay. Service was nice but there was a long line in the store just to grab 2 small cups of ice cream. The line loops around 2 stores. One to order and the second to pay. It's pretty stuffy and small inside. Great place to stop in for candy, snacks, or ice cream.

We stopped in here after dinner for a small treat. We tasted the maple walnut and the cappuccino fudge. Both were delicious but we went with the maple walnut and were not disappointed! They have ice cream as well as loads of candy. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Cute place with lots to look at - there's something for just about everyone.

Sea Salt Caramel: 10/10 Some of the best ice cream in town! I love that they rotate flavors and have delicious unique types over time. They have great customer service and a plethora of sweets to accompany the ice cream. highly recommend !

Peach cobbler ice cream, so good!

You know when you pass by a sweets shop and cannot resist going in, even though you just ate a huge lunch at Southern Soul BBQ with dessert. Well, I could not resis. I came, I saw, I conquered. Then I saw the grab bags for $4 and conquered some more. Then when I checked out with my pecan bar, Ooey gooey bar, and mega buckets, I realized I earned a free small nice cream. So I walked back and got my free peach cobbler ice cream which is handmade and oh, so good. Never mind that it is January. And it hands are cold. And my family won't help me eat it because we ate a peach cobbler for dessert at lunch. Oh well. One must persevere and enjoy ice cold ice cream when one is given a free ice cream, which was delicious. You should come here and leave happy.

St. Simons Sweets is a classic, old school candy & treat shop. I love taking my time, looking around at all of the goodies. Everything is displayed so nicely, making it easy to shop. The cute shop offers everything you can imagine - and more. The flavors of fudge are creative and unique. The dipped pretzels were delicious. The creaky hardwood floors, gorgeous display cases and kind staff make this a go to stop while in St. Simons.

Now I have a pretty crazy sweet tooth but even walking in this place I was nearly satisfied. The smell alone is heavenly, nice and sweet. The line was long but the woman working was very efficient. I ordered fudge, a praline, and a biscoff bar. Each item better than the last! I would drive from atlanta just to get more treats. Don't skip this spot!!!

Our family went in this establishment after dinner. There's ice cream and candy/ confections. The lady at the candy register was very , very rude. Our family spent over $200 (NOT A TYPO) $200!!!! She asked, "Are you from around here?" We said "No, we are from Columbia, SC and Orlando." She replied, "I hate tourists." No tip for that miserable employee. Seriously. You are in a tourist town. Get over it . Smile. Don't be so negative towards the people spending SO MUCH in your shop. Ridiculous.

Dropped by here since we were in the mood for some ice cream. We were able to sample before purchasing Cookies & Cream and Red Velvet ice creams. They both were good but nothing special, so I wasn't sure why they were expensive.

I thought the Key Lime ice cream was wonderful and the key lime cupcakes were delightful. Overall, very good but typically crowded.

Suddenly he was in his glory and grabbing all the chocolates once he saw what kind of store it was. (Besides a few clothes stores 99% of our stops involve chocolate, ice cream or toys but you wouldn't know that by my son lol) super nice owner as we apologized for our one minute noooooooo to wow. I think he got a chocolate race car? Whatever it was he couldn't eat it fast enough the next day as he remembered hey where's my chocolate? :P I still have my chocolate from here sitting on my desk just waiting to be eaten by me. What I did eat so far, delicious. Cute shop too. Also gave us samples which held my son over since it was close to dinner time :P

My other personal favs are the homemade barks (all sorts), chocolate covered orange peel, ginger and Twizzlers (try it, you'll be hooked). Her Fluffernutter bark is tops, as are the Buckeyes, cashew paws and salted caramels. She has various molded novelties including gators, golf, sports, beachy themes. Her hours are limited (closed Sunday, Monday & Tuesday), as she's a one woman show of chocolatey force. You will be shipping chocolates home to tide you over in the off season!
