We were walking down the street and the smell just drew us in immediately! It is conveniently located in the pier village next to cute little shops. I had the Samoa ice cream and it was delicious! I couldn't put it down for a second. However, this place does NOT do sundaes. You can only get a straight up ice cream. read more

This was like being a kid in a candy store. Well, for me anyway. I love sweets, so I get way overexcited at places like this. Tons of stuff to choose from as other reviews had mentioned. They also had a little ice cream parlor right inside the store. I didn't have any ice cream, but I did get some praline candy, which was awesome. I did get another candy type thing, which was supposed to be coconut, but couldn't taste any coconut in it. It was pretty good still, had an interesting texture for sure. Maybe I'll sample it next time, to make sure I get the coconut one. I don't like toffee or even oreos usually so that was an easy pass, but all the fudge, marshmallows, and a bunch of other candy and treats looked so good I am gonna have to come back. I just have to make sure I don't come in hungry so I can control myself. read more

I'm not usually a candy person, but my GF insisted we stop in. We got lemon bars and caramel apples. The lemon bars were some of the best I've ever had and the caramel apples were to die for as well. We are contemplating heading back for some more lemon bars before we leave town. read more

Love this place! Such a variety of sweets and their quality is top notch! Little expensive, but well worth it for a treat. Thanks for being consistent and always worth a quick stop. read more

The best peach cobbler ice cream in a waffle cone. It's a bit pricy but a wonderful treat on a hot day!!! I recommend them as they have other sweet treats available too!! Fudge, jelly belly jelly beans, different types of candy and they even have retro candy boxed from the 70's and the 80's!!! read more

While we came here every day of our vacation and really enjoyed it, the ice cream is hit or miss. The first night, the pecan pie ice cream was phenomenal. The 2nd night, they were out of the ones we wanted to try (banana pudding and peace pie), so I got pecan pie again. This was completely different ice cream -- hardly any pecan pie pieces and a much icier consistency. My husband ended up getting the red velvet flavor which he enjoyed. So we liked it, but just wish they would stay stocked and more consistent with their recipes. That being said, we loved the things we got out of the pastry case. Don't miss the cream cheese danish or pecan pie bars. read more

Everytime we go to Jekyll Islsnd, we made it a habit to go to St. Simon's Sweets. I love all the sweets and stuff. Especially we always get ice cream. We love the ice cream, but today's visit, while eating the ice cream on our way home, I found a hair in it. It wasn't mine because my hair is purple/pink. Even though there girl that served us ice cream had her hair up, consider making sure that no more hair falls in the ice cream. Thanks. We'll still visit because it's our ritual to visit every time we go to Jekyll. read more

All I can say is that there will be a long line. IT.IS.WORTH.THE WAIT. Go, splurge, and ENJOY!!!

Hate to do this to you- but the pralines are the most addicting things I've ever tried at a candy store! Once you taste these babies- you'll be returning! read more

Creative, cute, and delicious sweets. This isn't your average hokey beach sweets shop. They actually have a really beautiful history and story and their product supports it. The caramel covered marshmallows were my weakness. The jelly donut fudge is very good but didn't blow my mind the way I wanted it to. Chocolate coconut was strong though. Definitely pick up something for yourself and to bring home. read more

Variety of local ice cream flavors were very good. Loved the peach cobbler and the Georgia peach. The variety of coated rice krispy treats was great. I really also enjoyed the gigantic Granny Smith apple. The divinity was first rate. read more

Unbelievably amazingly great!! Any & every kind of sweets your belly can imagine! We had ice cream and a caramel apple. All were really really good!! read more

No clue how this is getting any good ratings. Worst ice cream we've ever had. Absolutely no flavor in the mint chocolate chip or the peach cobbler. Very disappointed. read more

CUTEST sweet shop ever. Homemade ice cream made in-house - literally upstairs. I wanted chocolate chip cookie dough, and they didn't have any. I did try a sampling of the banana pudding, and kind of wish I'd gotten a scoop. They have a huge section of adorable decorated rice crispy treats. They also had a case full of decadent looking chocolate concoctions in the front of the store. They cover it all and the staff is incredibly friendly. read more

St Simons Sweets is my favorite ice cream shop on the island. You have got to try the Sea Salt Caramel! They have candy beyond a child (or child at hearts) wildest dreams. 2 lbs gummy bears, huge gummy snakes, a very wide selection of candy. They have fudge (which I have never tried) of many *interesting* flavors. Caramel apples (popular within my family) and numerous delectable desserts galore! I have nothing bad to say about SSS, but if I had to say something, they need more room inside. read more

What a great little sweet shop !!! On vacation, we stopped in for a quick scoop of ice cream and were pleasantly surprised with their selection of confections, fudge, jawbreakers and very pretty homemade Easter goodies. The staff was pleasant, and polite as you could imagine in the sweet ol' South. This is a sweet addition to "the village" as the locals call it. read more

I thought the Key Lime ice cream was wonderful and the key lime cupcakes were delightful. Overall, very good but typically crowded.

Always nice to stop in and get a quick treat when in the Village. Typical sweet shop prices. Everything is good.

Went for Ice cream. Service took forever. Waiter ignore my family of four in favor of the group of cute guys behind us. Cashier tried to shortchange me $20. read more

The place is adorable and has a ton of selections. However, everything we bought was horrible. Pralines yuck, fudge gross and toffee was hard as a rock! Really disappointed because this place has potential if only they learned how to make candy taste good. read more

Absolutely the best sweet shop ever! Yes the ice cream is great but they have so many homemade treats that you don't normally see in little ice cream/sweet shops. They have a rice crispy treat dipped in creamy caramel and rolled in pecans - to die for!!! They have wonderful lemon squares, fudge, and peanutbutter/chocolate candies. Staff is always smiling, courteous, and you will want to keep going back - you can't resist the great treats! Don't go to St. Simons without dropping by and having a treat! They are located by the pier and that is a great place to walk around, people watch, and enjoy a treat from St. Simons Sweets! read more

The ice cream and candy were good, but the girl who scooped the ice cream was personable, friendly, and helpful. We liked her friendly service and we will definitely go back next time we're on the island read more

This shop is a treat for the eyes AND the tongue. Very well made ice-cream. Fantastic assortment of sweets. Very nice and friendly staff. Loved it. read more

This is a local candy and ice cream shop. My sister and I check this place out after discovering the Italian Ice shops was closed (another awesome pick). I enjoyed my ice cream. My sister enjoyed her sherbet. All-in-all, this is a fun little shop. read more

What a great experience! Sarah was amazing and so sweet. The ice cream and cookie sandwich was just what I needed!

Ice cream was great, but I made the mistake of ordering the "made to order" ice cream sandwich using a chocolate chip cookie and buckeye ice cream. The latter was delicious, but it was overpowered by the oversized and dry cookie. I immediately had dessert regret. You don't want this. Just go for the ice cream. read more

Their Sea salted caramel ice cream is from heaven. Hubby loved the apple pie ice cream.

The staff is friendly and the treats are sweet. I keep coming back every fall for the chocolate covered cherries. They are the best I have had out of many many sweet shops visited around the country. read more

I so love to take my grand kids here to see the giant gummy bears and assorted candies. Like visiting a magical candy land for my 4 year olds! Personally, I'm crazy about their ice cream, find myself walking extra miles on the beach to justify the sweet treat! so many wonderful choices of candies, chocolates, nuts, cupcakes, .... Enter the purple door and enjoy! read more

Such a cool place, so many different types of lollies & candy. Cinnamon rolls were amazing. Definitely a must visit when in the area

Homemade Ice Cream and Treats. Enjoyed this sweet shop. All the hand decorated treats where detailed and tasted good. :) Ice cream on a hot southern night was a must and this store hit all the boxes for me. read more

Went to check it out since it had great reviews for dessert and all the ice cream flavors. When we arrived, the ice cream cooler had a great list of flavors. But of the 20+ slots, there were only 9 available flavors and they were the basic ones. All the specialty flavors were sold out. My waffle cone was stale. My husband's vanilla shake was not good - very runny, possibly like they were conserving ice cream and used mostly milk. We were very disappointed. Will definitely try a different ice cream shop next time we are in town! read more

Great selection of ice cream and helpful staff. Lots of candies and other sweet treats, but we didn't try them because we were fixated on trying the ice cream options. I'd advise letting them know what you like to see if they have any suggestions. Enjoy! read more

We tried Moo Cow and we tried St Simons Sweets. This place was slightly better, but still just average. I've had much better. Would have preferred Dairy Queen. The store and the sweets looked very nice, but the Ice Cream was just average. Overpriced also for the amount they gave you. We've been to many ice cream places (as I'm sure most have), but places like Kilwins up north, and Brusters in TN are much better. There isn't many choices on the island, so this was about as best you can get. read more

Praline was really good. Chocolate dipped items were also good. Lots of people so be prepared to wait in line.

I had the birthday cake icecream and my husband had the blueberry pie icecream...they were both delicious and original...mine actually had chunks of cake in it! Great customer service! The whole shop is like a child's dream with every sweet thing imaginable. Definitely recommend! read more

So many choices! We've been here two days and have been twice already. Had the peanut butter bliss last night, and it is incredible. My boys have enjoyed the ice cream. With a waffle cone it is on the expensive side. We can vouch for the divinity and cookies and milk fudge as well. It is a must stop during your visit. read more
