The best peach cobbler ice cream in a waffle cone. It's a bit pricy but a wonderful treat on a hot day!!! I recommend them as they have other sweet treats available too!! Everytime we go to Jekyll Islsnd, we made it a habit to go to St. Simon's Sweets. I love all the sweets and stuff. Especially we always get ice cream. We love the ice cream, but today's visit, while eating the ice cream on our way home, I found a hair in it. It wasn't mine because my hair is purple/pink. Even though there girl that served us ice cream had her hair up, consider making sure that no more hair falls in the ice cream. Thanks. While we came here every day of our vacation and really enjoyed it, the ice cream is hit or miss. The first night, the pecan pie ice cream was phenomenal. The 2nd night, they were out of the ones we wanted to try (banana pudding and peace pie), so I got pecan pie again. This was completely different ice cream -- hardly any pecan pie pieces and a much icier consistency. My husband ended up getting the red velvet flavor which he enjoyed. So we liked it, but just wish they would stay stocked and more consistent with their recipes. That being said, we loved the things we got out of the pastry case. Don't miss the cream cheese danish or pecan pie bars. read more

Creative, cute, and delicious sweets. This isn't your average hokey beach sweets shop. They actually have a really beautiful history and story and their product supports it. The caramel covered marshmallows were my weakness. The jelly donut fudge is very good but didn't blow my mind the way I wanted it to. Chocolate coconut was strong though. CUTEST sweet shop ever. Homemade ice cream made in-house - literally upstairs. I wanted chocolate chip cookie dough, and they didn't have any. I did try a sampling of the banana pudding, and kind of wish I'd gotten a scoop. They have a huge section of adorable decorated rice crispy treats. They also had a case full of decadent looking chocolate concoctions in the front of the store. They cover it all and the staff is incredibly friendly. read more

St Simons Sweets is my favorite ice cream shop on the island. You have got to try the Sea Salt Caramel! They have candy beyond a child (or child at hearts) wildest dreams. 2 lbs gummy bears, huge gummy snakes, a very wide selection of candy. They have fudge (which I have never tried) of many *interesting* flavors. Caramel apples (popular within my family) and numerous delectable desserts galore! I have nothing bad to say about SSS, but if I had to say something, they need more room inside. read more

Absolutely the best sweet shop ever! Yes the ice cream is great but they have so many homemade treats that you don't normally see in little ice cream/sweet shops. They have a rice crispy treat dipped in creamy caramel and rolled in pecans - to die for!!! They have wonderful lemon squares, fudge, and peanutbutter/chocolate candies. Staff is always smiling, courteous, and you will want to keep going back - you can't resist the great treats! Don't go to St. Simons without dropping by and having a treat! They are located by the pier and that is a great place to walk around, people watch, and enjoy a treat from St. Simons Sweets! read more

Ice cream was great, but I made the mistake of ordering the "made to order" ice cream sandwich using a chocolate chip cookie and buckeye ice cream. The latter was delicious, but it was overpowered by the oversized and dry cookie. I immediately had dessert regret. You don't want this. Just go for the ice cream. read more

Went to check it out since it had great reviews for dessert and all the ice cream flavors. When we arrived, the ice cream cooler had a great list of flavors. But of the 20+ slots, there were only 9 available flavors and they were the basic ones. All the specialty flavors were sold out. My waffle cone was stale. My husband's vanilla shake was not good - very runny, possibly like they were conserving ice cream and used mostly milk. We were very disappointed. Will definitely try a different ice cream shop next time we are in town! read more

We tried Moo Cow and we tried St Simons Sweets. This place was slightly better, but still just average. I've had much better. Would have preferred Dairy Queen. The store and the sweets looked very nice, but the Ice Cream was just average. Overpriced also for the amount they gave you. We've been to many ice cream places (as I'm sure most have), but places like Kilwins up north, and Brusters in TN are much better. There isn't many choices on the island, so this was about as best you can get. read more

So many choices! We've been here two days and have been twice already. Had the peanut butter bliss last night, and it is incredible. My boys have enjoyed the ice cream.
