Staff are rude and bossy. Very overpriced inventory and clearance section is full of damaged items.

OUTSTANDING! SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!…read more Having been a longtime customer at another good and reputable hometown pharmacy, I'll admit that it took me a little while to check out the new guy in town. (I've since been reminded that Matt Donato actually IS a hometown boy who is just BACK in town after his apparently EXCELLENT education!) I have also used an additional pharmacy in town that offers the compounded meds that I have come to need recently. And they, too, were very good; however, they did not offer the regular monthly meds that I need. So, when I realized that I could get all of my prescriptions at one place each time, I was excited about that possibility. (Compounded medications are specifically made for each patient individually - think of the 'old fashioned' method.) This capability puts Matt among the elite. I walked in and was IMMEDIATELY greeted very enthusiastically! Jamanda is just a treat... and I've come to learn that she is equally efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful... with an equal amount of common sense and "hidden hints" that have been able to save me money more than once already! Matt came over right away also to greet me and see how they could help. After chatting with, and 'quizzing' him for only a few minutes, I was sold! I simply gave him a list of my providers, my previous pharmacy, and the details of my maintenance meds ... and THEY DID THE REST! Seriously ... I did not even have to make a single phone call, much less run to each of my providers all over town to wait for them to print out duplicate prescriptions, etc! Now THAT is CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS FINEST!!!! And each time I have called or gone inside, OR through the pickup window, I have been equally impressed! I have to say that I also REALLY, REALLY LOVE the ultimate convenience of having an app to use for requesting refills! It comes in quite handy 'after normal business hours' when it pops into my head that I need to run by the pharmacy TOMORROW! It's incredibly easy to use - and it allows me to see which of my meds are available for refill, the date that the next one will be available, etc., so it has helped me to cut down on trips to the pharmacy by allowing me to SEE CLEARLY exactly when the next one can be refilled, so I can simply wait a few days to request that one to be prepared for the same visit ... OR for FREE DELIVERY!!!  (There's that CUSTOMER SERVICE again!) The pharmacy that I used prior to Golden Isles Pharmacy was certainly adequate; however, after being a fairly frequent-flier after nearly 15 years, it would have been nice to be greeted by name once in a while. I truly cannot overstate the sense of thanks and appreciation I have for Matt and Jamanda at the pharmacy, and for Jennifer, who can always deliver with a smile! (I think THESE FACTS are sometimes even better medicine than what comes in the little bottles, especially for those of us who aren't able to get out as much as we would like.) OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, SPEED, and TRUE HUMAN KINDNESS make Golden Isles Pharmacy my top choice of any business in town - in ANY category!

They're amazing! We switched from CVS and don't have to wait days to get our prescriptions…read morerefilled. As a matter of fact, we requested a refill today and it was delivered within the hour. They also have flavor options for the kids which makes it a little easier for them to tolerate. We absolutely love this place and are glad we made the switch.

1/5 I am extremely…read moredisappointed with the customer service and lack of clear direction I received from this CVS Pharmacy. I had already been trying for approximately two days to obtain prescribed medication when, while I was at the drive-through during severe weather, a transformer was struck and the pharmacy experienced a power interruption. I completely understand that CVS could not control the weather or the transformer failure. My complaint is about how I was treated and directed afterward. After being told the transformer had been hit, the drive-through window was closed without giving me meaningful instructions about how I could obtain my medication elsewhere. I then approached a CVS employee outside the store, explained that I had been unable to obtain my prescribed medication, and asked what I should do. Rather than immediately helping me identify an appropriate next step, he repeatedly emphasized that he was not a pharmacist. Eventually, I was directed to a CVS on St. Simons Island. I drove there only to learn that there was a prescription/documentation requirement that prevented the situation from being resolved as I had expected. That information had not been clearly communicated to me before I made the trip. For transparency, I became frustrated during the interaction and used profanity while expressing that I felt my situation was being dismissed. I own that. However, the central issue remains: a customer experiencing interrupted access to prescribed medication needed clear, accurate, compassionate direction during an unexpected pharmacy shutdown. I believe CVS should review this incident and improve its procedures for helping customers during pharmacy outages, including training employees in trauma-informed and person-centered communication. People seeking medication are not simply transactions. Clear communication, dignity, and appropriate direction matter--especially when access to prescribed medication has already been interrupted.
