(and I didn't want to just do a cafe run). A friend reccomended this place and it was a couple of blocks away from where I am staying so I gave it a shot (bonus was that it's open at 0730 M-F, so for someone jet lagged, it was a great way to kill some time early in the morning) Got in and got seated (breakfast restaurants aren't really a thing in Norway, so it was empty when I arrived). Ordered the fried Brussels sprouts as a snack and the eggs, bacon and hash browns as a main w/ locally made sourdough bread from a local bakery on the side. The food was all presented well and tasted great. The hash browns were less shredded potatoes as puréed, then fried. (still tasted fine) and the eggs were scrambled perfectly with the bacon crisped up and sprinkled on top with some sprouts. The bread came lightly oiled and fried (so no need for butter). The Brussels sprouted were roasted with some peppers and served on top of some aioli. Service was great, food was great and will come back at least one more time before I leave town. Yes, it's pretty expensive (this all ran me ~$35 converting from NOK to USD) but Norway in general has a high cost of living, so this is on par with any other sit down meal in a comparable restaurant.

As rare as the eclipse, but almost as beautiful unless you stare at it for too long. The spicy burger, whose name I won't pretend to know how to pronounce, was very good. Spice level was just about right (for me) so probably 'quite' spicy for mere mortals. Accompanied by the onion rings with its own dipping sauce and a beer with the best logo I've seen for a long time... it was a mighty fine afternoon. Though the burger was fantastic, it wasn't quite enough for me to remember it for the rest of my life. Would I eat here again? Certainly would. Can I recommend it to burger aficionados? Definitely. We needed a quick bite to eat and we were thinking bar, snacks, and small plates. The restaurant had a really nice modern and slightly upscale vibe . It was nice and cozy. The service was really good too with the waitress explaining the menu to us since it was a new tasting menu they were trying . I got a local beer and we tried the miso, glazed eggplant with non-bread and the lobster roll . Both items were extremely delicious and surprisingly filling for being small plates style . From what I've read, they have live entertainment and music upstairs on certain nights, but we came on a quiet evening. If you're looking for late night bar snacks and a nice chill atmosphere this is definitely a place to go !

I had to enjoy some salmon while in Norway.... And this was great. The sauce was perfect and the potatoes were great sides. Server was nice but he just stayed in the patio area once he served my food, and never came back inside so I had to walk up to ask to pay.
