1st time at @St. Patrick's in Dolton... I didn't even let them bring the entrees out before I told them to cancel them! My drink tasted like water and a hint of pineapple juice... 6 of my mussels were missing the meat inside and some were cold... I'm not even about to let yall piss me off with a f'd up entree.... LETS GO! With the watered down drink, I was told she couldn't take the drink off the bill but could substitute it for a shot... drink was $19 shot was $14/15.... So I asked well what you gone do with the $5/6 from the $19 drink... the manager Nicole tells me I can get another drink... so I did that... why the bill come and the bill $97 because she charged me for ALL 3 drinks!!!!! One of us did not get our food at all and was only told about it almost 2 hours in that they RAN OUT OF CHICKEN...they let us leave without doing anything about it. Went here last night with my guy and the service was horrible. The server only came to take our order, never offered to give us water, nor did she come check on us throughout the visit. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, and they were watery and fishy with no cheese whatsoever. We also ordered the salmon and shrimp pasta that, after an hour and a half, had never came. We ended up cancelling the main course. So, for 2 drinks that were from $13-$15 and the oysters, the cost was $90! They had a special through the month of January where the entire menu, outside of steaks, was 50% off. We met my friend and her husband there and since only they had a reservation and we did not, the discount wasn't honored. The owner and server were ghetto and rude. While the ambiance was beautiful, the energy and professionalism were unacceptable. I had big plans for this place, including thinking about celebrating my birthday there. My husband and I celebrated our 14th year wedding anniversary at St. Patrick's. It was a wonderful experience for us. After placing the reservation is when my husband read a bad review. But we decided to try anyway, and were not disappointed. Just getting on the elevator was an experience. An actual person was inside the elevator waiting for us to take us to the 2nd level. The second level is where the restaurant is. The facility has 6 beautiful levels, we were given a tour of the rooftop. Again beautiful! Once the elevator door opened to the restaurant, it was just beautiful. The ambiance, the atmosphere, the music was just great! Once seated we ordered appetizers and drinks. The appetizers we had were chicken and vegetable pot stickers, avocado and cauliflower bites. They were pretty good! Dinner for me was the steak and cheese Philly sandwich. It was pretty good! My husband enjoyed the salmon burger. I also tried 2 of the speciality drinks, was not even watered down. Just the right amount of alcohol! We enjoyed karaoke as we dined. I had a awesome time, we will be going back for the dinner menu. Which is only offered Thursday thru Sunday. We visited on a Tuesday evening which was their lunch menu. I had a 5pm reservation and was seated promptly, the problem comes when we ordered are appetizer and dinner and it all comes out by 5:10pm giving the impression of being served food that had been sitting under a warmer. First let's start with the positive. Nice location, good parking, beautiful decor. Personally I think they are trying too hard to force the experience that they want you to have vs letting the experience just flow. Staff is friendly but management is too controlling and nosey. I'm at the bar with my woman and when my girl went to stand up and give me a hug some lady says to us and I quote, "We don't do that in here." If I could give the location no stars, I would. I love to support black owned establishments and try out new food, but this experience took a bad turn for me. We went to this restaurant on a rainy sunday evening to celebrate a family member's birthday. We had a party of 14 (2 tables of 7). We had a 6:30 reservation which every member of our party was one time, due to the emphasis on their time policy/cancellation policy. Upon arrival we were told the table was not ready but we can go to the 3rd floor to explore if we'd like and get a refreshment from the bar. Some of us stayed on the second level and others did take the chance to go to the 3rd floor. I sat at the bar on the second floor and ordered a drink where I was waiting for 12 minutes for the drink until I reminded the bartender and she informed me she forgot, even though it was only 2 other people at the bar. The table was finally ready after about 18 minutes, so I told her don't worry about it. We were all seated (again at 2 tables sat right by each other). We had a waitress come over and inform us she'll be handling both tables and the bill will be one check for both tables. That was fine. From that moment, everything went downhill. We waited 30 min to just receive water and that was only half of our party. Even at the end of us leaving, there were at least 5 people that didn't have water. The waitress only took a few people's drink order, others had to wait (including myself) 30 minutes just to place our drink order because she skipped over us. Half the party didn't receive their drinks, even at the end. We waited 1 hour 15 minutes to order food. Now we read the menu and clearly saw where it stated large parties food can take anywhere between 45- 1 hr. We were fine with that and very patient. Some of us ordered appetizers, never received them. Not to mention after waiting 30 min for the appetizers, the waitress kept coming back and forth and saying they were out of that item, but then they actually do have it, but nope they don't have it. The entire staff was not on one accord, it was very unorganized and clearly had no structure. After 2 hours and 15 minutes worth of waiting no one in our entire party (except one) had received any food. So we were without drinks, food, some appetizers, straws, the very basics, etc. All the while, tables that had come in after us after sitting around for hours had received water, straws, appetizers, drinks and their full meals within a 40 min time frame. Come to find out, the waitress had never put our order in after we had already been waiting 2 hours for food. We asked for a manager, no manager came to the table. We had to flag down a manager in the establishment, which is terrible! No one came to check on the table, apologize, etc. Once we did have the chance to speak to someone, her response was "Ok so what do you want me to do?". The staff and managers are extremely rude and unprofessional. The place is new (understandable) with new staff and are still trying to get their feet off the ground but with the attitudes and customer service they have they won't be in business long. We read the reviews prior to coming and were on the fence about choosing this place to begin with and turns out we should've followed our first mind. So after 3.5 hours of being at this restaurant we left still hungry and empty-handed with not so much as an "I'm sorry" from anyone. We paid for what we had, which is fair and we left and went to patronize another establishment. This is the owner's response to my post, which aids to my point of the level of unprofessionalism of this business. This is also inaccurate time points and information that all can be proven with camera footage and bystanders in the restaurant. The owner/manager is combative and lack accountability. Reviews are a space for consumers to share THEIR experience, which is not for the owner to determine or shift to their liking. I have 15 other people in my party that will have the same storyline that matches mine. I think it's shameful to place the blame of ANY unfortunate experience on the consumer, as I am not the one who "didn't" ask to be served. I just shared my experience without malicious intent, I do wish this establishment turns around for the better but I will not be back and I will be sharing my experience with others. I paid 360.00 for a VIP VALENTINE for me and my guy. It was the most horrible experience I ever had. I feel like they gangsta our money. We paid in advance for a horrible experience. When we first get there the host didn't have any more seats available. I've paid 360 and I don't have a sit . Second they create a seat. In the hall way by the elevators. We sitting in the hall way with 6 other couples they create a seat for. The host was very rude. He didn't care at all. I ask to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. His demeanor and attitude was very unprofessional. Sitting and waiting for at least an hour and half for the food. They come out with little plastic cups of water, small plastic saucers of lettuce, and then the entrée was in a small saucer with the food hanging off the plates. OMG AT THIS POINT, I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN. I was so heated I didn't know what to do. I decided to go because a friend had recommended it. Recently went here for dinner at the steakhouse with another couple. The food was tasty overall. However, there were 3/4 of us got our food and one had to wait about 30 min to get her entrée so the timing is definitely off in the kitchen. One of us had cold potatoes so again, a kitchen issue. Needs improvement. The service was ok. They include an 18% service charge and we didn't tip more because the service was not exceptional. As a former server, you make more money off a check when you push drinks and our drinks arrived slowly and we were not asked promptly for a 2nd round. We also were not asked if we wanted dessert which again, its an upsell (and I am not condoning upselling but it's part of the business) The prices on the drinks were reasonable. $6 for a beer, $7 for wine and $16 for specialty cocktail. The aesthetic is beautiful. Very well done. I do think they need some window treatments because on the steak house level there is not much of a view. (I'm sure the rooftop is different) Also, there is a lot of security. It was a Sunday and didn't seem necessary as it was not very crowded but they were having a private event elsewhere. I understand needing it when alcohol is present but It seemed a bit much. I will probably give them another shot in a few months. Also, it's supposed to be "Power Themed" but I noticed only the drink menu has the power theme, the rest of the menu doesn't. The Oysters Rockefeller was sold out, I would like to try it because it sounds good but I think they have to maybe hire more staff (or more experienced staff) or get a consultant for the kitchen issues. read more

Let me start by saying that the ambience is beautiful but the service is absolutely HORRIBLE! We had a party of 16 people which let me say that we had to put into 2 people's names. Our reservation was for 6:30 pm and we arrived on time because it was our cousins birthday and it was stressed that time is important to them. When we arrived we were told to give them a few minutes to set up for us needless to say we were not seated until another party of 8 left their table so that our 2 tables could be side by side. We were seated around 6:50 - 7:00 pm at two separate tables but were given 1 server for 16 people. We had to ask for water which only half of my table received. When we got ready to place our food order we had 3 sets of Oyster Rockefeller ordered as a appetizer. After waiting about 20 minutes our server came back to tell us that they were out of the oysters, but in the middle of telling us that someone signaled to her that they had them. We said O.K. the server then told my cousin who had ordered short ribs that they did not have any more short ribs. Needless to say that on their menu they have a whole disclosure about large parties please allow them 30-45 minutes for food and that everyone might not get their food at the same time.... Huh? bottom line is we ended up leaving St. Patrick's at 9:15 pm and NEVER RECEIVED OUR FOOD!!! So from 7:00 pm until 9:15 pm we only received our Oyster Rockefeller appetizer which was warm not hot when we received it. The server was trying to be apologetic by offering us free shots an hour and half in so when my cousin started asking how many Don Julio Reposado and everything she was told no she could not give us any free shots, mind you had they looked at our orders that's what they had been ordering and drinking all night. We eventually had to ask for the General Manager. When the GM came to our table there was no sense of empathy no apologies for the wait, NOTHING!!! She told us that our order was late going in and she did not know we did not have our food... How? They had walked by our table numerous amounts of time serving EVERYONE around us. Please note that at least 3 to 4 other tables of 4 and 6 had came in after us and all had their food. We try to support black owned businesses but this is UNACCEPTABLE!! We still ended up paying for our drinks and appetizers which came out to around $500. You can't charge downtown Chicago prices and give people Dolton service it's just not right. Needless to say we ended up going to Rosebud's Steak House in Munster Indiana at 9:30 pm which closes at 10:00 pm and EVERYONE was served and we were out of there by 10:45 pm. My family and friends will stick with where our money is appreciated and so are we!!! Never to return again!!!!!! read more

Chicago/Dolton St. Patrick's Steakhouse review.... Friday I had a reservation for 815pm. I arrived on time and was taken to the 2nd level to the hostess stand. After looking up my reservation, she asked me to give her 10 minutes, and I would receive a text when my table is ready. We sat in the lovely high-back chairs admiring the beautiful decor and old episodes of 'Power" on one of the many screens throughout the place. After about 20 minutes, a member of the staff came and asked us and others that were waiting if we wanted to wait at the bar? So about 8 of us agreed and followed him up a flight of stairs to a small bar and waiting area that overlooked the dining area below on the level we had just left. There was a party of 4, and 2 parties of 2, including me and my guest, for a total of 8 that sat at the bar. The bar was close to the windows, which didn't leave much room for us to get in and out of our seats. The bar menu had several specialty drinks named after characters on the TV show. The bar tender was slow, she made each drink 1 at a time and served my male guest first. It seems that she didn't know where to find anything. About 845pm a different member of the staff comes and informs those of us waiting at the bar that we might as well order at the bar, because if we get a table there will be another wait. To this we all protested, but after waiting over 30 minutes....oh well. 2 of the 8 left at this point. We placed our dinner order with the bartender. I ordered prime-rib, he ordered lamb chops. We sat drinking our over priced subpar drinks, and about 900 pm they announced that the kitchen was closed. The bartender said don't worry our order was already in. After nearly an hour, close to 1000pm a member of the kitchen staff comes to inform the bartender that they were out of lamb chops. So from 815 to 1000pm we still haven't had any food. Now he orders the short ribs to replaces the lamb chops they don't have. Another 30-40 minutes go by for the kitchen to inform us that they were out of short ribs. Now it's nearly 1100pm and I haven't eaten. Long story to say after nearly 3 hours I never received any food. The 2 drinks were nearly $50. No apologies from management, no discount on the drinks. Needless to say, I won't go back. I try to patronize black owned businesses but this is unacceptable. 0 out of 10 do not recommend. read more

My daughter booked a reservation for 3 people, and from the outside of the building, it looked nice, and I was excited to see more. When we walked in the front door, the security staff asked if we had a reservation and we shared that we did. He proceeded to tell us that the elevator was not working, and we would need to walk up the stairs. I asked what floor it was on, and he said the 6 floor. He made a quick joke about stopping on the 3rd floor to catch our breath and then proceed the rest of the way. It felt like 8 flights of stairs once we got to the top. That was a sign that we should have turned around and left but we brushed it off and walked the stairs. what if I had someone with me that was physically challenged? Let me also say they have a dress code, and part of that is no gym shoes or flip flops. Two items we might have needed if we had known we would need to walk six flights in dress shoes/heels. Once we got to the rooftop, we seated ourselves outside and a few minutes later a waitstaff came over and brought us some water and some menus. I thought I was going to be able to order some lamb chops but did not see them on the menu. When we asked, the server said we would have had to make a reservation for the steak house area, which is on a different floor. We would have to order from the menu he placed on our table. My daughter began to speak about her reservation and a woman who was either the head manager, possible owner, came over and began to tell my daughter they don't have anything VIP and so my daughter pulled it up in her phone and showed her what it said. I forgot to mention the woman was wearing flip flop like shoes. Then she proceeded to say they were not serving from the menu that their waitstaff had given us and already talked about. They were only serving small bites which consisted of (barbecue chicken, Jerk chicken, pizza or a burger). I would have thought the waitstaff would know the menu being served before they open the doors for the customers. I asked the waitstaff how many pieces of chicken you get with the jerk chicken, and he never could really answer me, he motioned his hands into a ball shape and said it was chopped. I asked what their sides were, and he said they were serving fries with everything. Next, we were told if we had to use the bathroom, we would have to go downstairs to the next level and then back up to our table....REALLY?? We decided we would not eat anything; we would just order drinks. One drink each to be exact. He took the order, and we sat for over 15 more minutes and still had not been served our drinks. Mind you, there were only 5 people sitting in the space outside of ourselves. At this point, we decided to leave and not even have drinks. We proceeded to walk down to the bottom and when we got to the 5th floor someone asked if we were leaving and said we could take the elevator since it was no longer stuck. I saw some reviews on this establishment from some well-known local food reviewers so I had to see it for myself. I arrived for Saturday brunch and I must admit it was very good. They had a buffet option but I'm not the buffet type so I opted to order from the menu. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. Very well seasoned, perfect temperature of the steak but if you choose cheese in your eggs please please please advise to order very like cheese because they load it heavy. Not my preference but if you like heavy cheese it's perfect. I couldn't eat all of my steak because I enjoyed my eggs and potatoes so much. As the day progressed and I got hungry again I returned for dinner a few hours later. Yes it was extremely busy so it took food alittle longer to hit your table however the staff was so very attentive and did all they could to rectify the issues. I love the professional, mature, grown and sexy clientele as well.
