We came here just to have dessert and hang out. I liked the vibe of the place but mostly I like the fact that lots of cafés in Berlin serve alcoholic beverages and are therefore more like bars at night. And so unlike NY, you can actually go to places like these after dark, have a glass of wine, and quietly read a book. I didn't get to check out the food selection too much but I did have a slice of chocolate cake that had dark cherries and hot pepper and the combination was awesome! If I lived in Berlin if definitely be hanging out at these places.

Shoko-kirsch chili cake, half-eaten. So good.

Had a cappuccino and the homemade Shoko-kirsch Chili cake. It was amazing...sweet and chocolatey with a spicy chili aftertaste....whoever made that cake is a wild genius. Hard to find a place to sit though, very busy!

Very good Riesling wine. Bottle of 1 liter.

Loved this place! Good Riesling and they had vegan sandwiches. First time I visited this place and the people working there were really nice. We felt very welcome. Nice atmosphere and there was both a café and a bar so it's good for both daytime and evening either you're working on your laptop having a coffee or going out for a glass of wine.

yummy but confusing lemon bar.

the day shift at cafe bar were really shitty people, which is a shame because the venue itself is awesome. anyway, i walked over here instead and i got a totally different vibe. the folks behind the counter were really helpful and attentive. and once you've been helped, they'll go back to dancing and singing to whatever is playing on the stereo. optimism is infectious. their lemon bars here are very interesting, it was like a cake brownie thing. i'm still not sure how i feel about it but flavor wise, it was wonderful. then again, the extra flour did cut down the characteristic tartness of a lemon bar. i'm confused. but i still like it. the people that chill here are really really cool and interesting too. networking is really easy here for techie folks like me, so get your bcs ready!

Hipster, but nice to work or hang out at. Really nice and spacious inside. Good drinks, tasty unique/healthy food, oh and there's a bar too.

Prices are like the States but what you get are hand crafted cocktails that are oh so good. It was the perfect, quiet little cozy corner for us to happen upon and we enjoyed the beverages that were served up to us immensely. We finally found the cocktail bar we'd been searching for in Berlin!

Since smoking is allowed in Berlin bars we opted to sit at the little spot right outside the door. It was a prime spot to view the entire bar as well as listen to the soft jazz notes in the background. I definitely agree with other reviews. The music selection is excellent! It's a perfect accompaniment to the well crafted cocktails. As for the cocktails I ordered a Cover Club cocktail since it's one of my favorite gin cocktails and they specialize in gin. My BF ordered a more tropical drink with lychee. Both cocktails were delicious. I also loved the quiet and intimate atmosphere. It's perfect for a sophisticated date night. Berlin has some very promising cocktail bars so I'm making my way thru them but Windhorst is definitely my kind of spot.
