With my house being in the city, when getting bids, I tried to favor city businesses. All Brick was within my zip code so I gave them a call. Lucky for me, they not only were the best price, but were also available to complete the work before my closing date. Until the inspection and their bid, I honestly did not realize my chimney needed to be tuck pointed. They did a great job. I wish I had before pictures to show the difference, because it is amazing. The clean up of their work space was as if they were not even there. If you need a masterful tuck pointer, I recommend All Brick. Regarding my patio replacement by G.E. Elmore Contacting: *…read moreSteps were uneven when set but this was supposed to be 'fixed'. It wasn't. * Completed steps are uneven and slope * Concrete not raised and leveled as it was discussed to be * Edges curve and I now have less patio than before/ pergola no longer fits * Side of patio was not smoothed out * Ruts left allover in yard * Cigarette butts left in yard after every visit * Plywood left behind * Children were brought to work and install the patio with the 2 man crew * Crew invited neighbors walking down the street to see the jobsite while in progress * Chemicals were dumped in my yard where my children play Due to already taking off work multiple days that the concrete pour was supposed to happen but kept getting pushed back with very little communication, I was not able to be off AGAIN on the day it was being poured. Jerry assured he typically does jobs while homeowners were not home so this would not be an issue. When I called Jerry to make sure the crew understood what needed to be done, he didn't answer as he was busy at another job site. He only responded when I texted asking if there should have been children brought to the jobsite to which he responded that he didn't care how the job was done as long as it was done right. Once I saw on my ring camera that the crew was inviting a neighbor walking down the street with her young children, to come to my backyard to watch, I immediately had to leave work as I didn't feel comfortable with the trespassing and even more children being on an active jobsite. Jerry came back and inspected the work days later and acknowledgement what a poor job they did and how hard it is to find good help (again) yet changed his tone completely via text being careful not to admit to any faulty work. He takes zero responsibility and blames the poor workmanship and overall bad experience on everyone but his company. Jerry also tried to blame it on an issue discovered with the garage upon patio tear out. The issue with the garage is separate from the patio and it's being addressed by a different company and does not interfere with the patio at all. This patio is going to be a complete tear out and redo and Jerry is refusing to refund the half we have paid. The pictures speak for themselves.

Gerry kept me apprised as to the steps, first with the date the equipment will be delivered, and the work to start the next day. He also power-washed and resealed my back patio and my front porch. The driveway was completed in one day, on a Thursday, and they came back on Friday to pull out the 2 x 4's, clean up the dirt, etc. Gerry told me he would do my patios the following Monday. Again, they were here bright and early. They did great work! All of the jobs turned out really nice and we couldn't be happier. And the best thing of all is the guys he has working for him. EVERY SINGLE one of them is very personable, friendly, and eager to answer any questions you may have. They all had great personalities, and I truly enjoyed working with all of them. Adam and Lance did my patios. They were FANTASTIC! Gerry is very particular in the workmanship his team provides. The job was complete on Friday, and he came back by himself twice after it was completed, the second time being the following Tuesday, to check out all the work, and to ensure it was completed to his satisfaction. Also, I failed to mention, my patio and front porch were both sealed with a colored sealer. The sealer restored the original look of the patios, and they look brand new again. The clean up after the job was perfect. Where they had gotten dust and dirt in the street in front of my house, they hosed it all down. These guys know what they're doing, and are professional.

The signed agreement was 50% down and 50% at completion. We gave him the 50% up front to start the job. He started all the jobs the next day. Then the following day the excuses started it was his truck broke down so that delayed his return for two days. When he returned he installed the wall and threw a strip of landscaping fabric in the hole. But then said he couldn't get the rock to fill it in over the weekend, or put grass seed down with straw, and then his tractor broke down. So the third day he started on the tree cutting which turned into him cutting some other trees and leaving stump and ruts in the yard. It started to rain so he left and said I will see you tomorrow. Well we never saw him. I messaged him he said he had some medical issues but was coming to finish the job the following day on March 4, 2025. He arrived and worked on cutting the tree up and putting it in the wood pile. He then asked for the remaining balance of the money for completing the job. He said "it's the beginning of the year and he had a ton of money out right now, and he would really appreciate it". I told him I was a little hesitant to pay the remaining balance because the job wasn't complete and now I needed ruts fixed in the yard from his tractor. Ethan, the owner assured me when it was dry out he would return finish the wall, finish taking out the tree, burn the wood pile. He even offered to put mulch down (which I said I would pay for outside of the original contract but he never gave me a quote or requested any money). Then he said in addition I am going to mow for you and pick up this other pile of branches get that burned as well, NO additional jobs were completed even though he offered. I told him I didn't need all that, I just wanted the original work completed. So being a trusting individual I reluctantly paid him the remaining 50% due on the original contract. Never heard back from him. We did have some rain so I was understanding and waited to contact him. On March 10, 2025 I inquired about him returning, he said he would be there the next day. Excuses started again my Bobcat is down I'm at the shop fixing it. He never showed up and I got a text on March 17, 2025" I haven't forgotten about you". I wasn't very happy and basically told him to forget it because I really felt as if he was being dishonest he got his money and skipped on finishing the jobs. At some point he came and put part of the mulch down but we hadn't even discussed the price and he hadn't completed the other jobs I originally contracted him for?? Then I got a message on March 26, 2025 he was coming to finish all the jobs and the mulch. March 26, 2025 came and went he never showed. March 31, 2025 I sent a message when are you coming? I got "I am not positive because we are behind now and it's gonna rain". April 7, 2025 I messaged again what day are you coming he said "I'll be there Thursday", which was April 10, 2025. Guess what ???? He NO SHOWED AGAIN, this time he said "I am sorry I am working 20 hour days, I am doing everything I can." So long story short buyer beware !!! Don't get taken advantage of like we did. We gave him multiple opportunities to do what was right and fulfill his end of the contract but alas he didn't. Nor did he give us a partial refund. So we are out $3700, and we have four jobs started and not one of them completed. Too bad the owners quick and timely YELP response to my complaint couldn't have also been displayed in his work ethic.
