We were in the crisis mode. My mother could no longer be cared for at home, and space in another hospice house was not available. Additionally, we needed a facility where my father could also live and spend the majority of each day with my mother. St Lorenz proved to be an outstanding choice. James Bird quickly and courteously orchestrated the voluminous paperwork. Debbie Bird provided great medical care for my mother and very much needed mental support for my father. I had to be out of state for a few days. Debbie texted me frequently with updates - again not only on my mother's declining condition but also on how my father was faring. Perhaps most importantly, Debbie accurately predicted my mother's passing away which allowed me to return and have the final three days with her.
The St Lorenz staff members were also outstanding. In addition to excellent medical attention, they had the perfect mix of caring, courtesy, respect, and sense of humor. The staff truly cared about each resident/patient. It was not just a job to them.
My family will be forever grateful to St. Lorenz for the extraordinary care of my parents.
