After several attempts to have the wheel and tire repaired due to their negligence during the after service test drive (that we didn't opt for or was told it would be driven), unfortunately Trevor refused to make this right. Additionally, I asked to see the before pictures and video that was mentioned on the phone, but was told there wasn't any. Any time a car goes in for service, a detailed report is completed by the technician, but I was told they do not do this. That's a bit concerning to me. Then AAA dropped it off to Christian Brothers in Valrico, Florida. They tested it and said it needed a new Starter Switch and new Alternator and they charged $2093. Then they said the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced for $1300. So I drove it to the Auto Clinic of Brandon who told us they get so many people who have had similar problems with the "Christian Brothers". Auto Clinic of Brandon said that the "Christian Brothers" CHARGE HIGHER PRICES THAN A DEALERSHIP!!! Plus, who knows if I really needed as many repairs to fix the electric as they say I needed. Maybe it was just the electric switch and I didn't need a new alternator. I trust Auto Clinic of Brandon. They are the most honest repair shop in town! He was straightforward with us, agreed with me on my guess (it was the starter), and gave us an accurate quote. Barcadi's team quickly sourced and replaced the starter, and noticed the brakes were in desperate need of pad replacement. The total price was not bad at all! I wasn't going to do this but I am fed up with places like this trying to take advantage of people…read moreor just flat out lying. I bought 4 new tires for my sons 4Runner Mon Oct 26, 2026, 09:00. When I dropped it off I asked for an alignment check. This vehicle belonged to my mother who does not drive anymore, she had gotten into a fender bender a while back and with those repairs we had an alignment done but it never felt right to me, had a slight pull and the steering wheel wasn't centered. I told them I have a mechanical background and do all my own maintenance but don't have an alignment rack so if anything is legitimately wrong I'll just come get it, fix it and bring it back. But I didn't think there was because I had recently checked it over. I ran some errands and wasn't home for 15 min before I got a call saying it was ready to pick up. I said alignment too? They answered no, we couldn't do one because both sides needed upper control arms and lower ball joints. Huh? I got there and was checking out with the lady at the counter and I asked what was up with the front end and the guy behind the counter said my whole steering rack needed to be replaced, sucks on his vape and proceeds to tell me "you got as much fluid coming out as you're putting in." I said oh really, like pouring out? And he says well it's not puddling or anything. I said so it's weeping a little. Yep. Then I reminded them they told me it was upper control arms and lower ball joints on the phone, and they both responded oh yea, that too. I drove home, everything felt tight as it did before. I drove it straight onto on the two post lift in my shop and re-checked everything. Absolutely no slop in any of the ball joints, control arm bushings looked fine, no damage to any boots, steering rack was not leaking, and only had just a slight amount of lube on the boot of the left side inner tie rod that could have come from anywhere, PS reservoir full, and all 4 tie rods were tight, no slop. There was no reason that vehicle couldn't get a proper alignment. Took it to Hancock and asked for an alignment later in the week and they did it no problem. So all they really accomplished was the loss of an alignment sale, or any future tires, and wasting my time. I'll drive farther away from now on and take it to someone who knows what they're doing. I own/maintain 5 cars and do work on many more, I have to do things like alignments at local businesses because I can't fit a rack in my shop, so 5+ alignments & tire sales will be going elsewhere when they're due. This place either needs training or to hire people who don't play games with their customers.
