Additionally, our youngest attended from infancy through Early Preschool. Both of my boys have always felt loved and adored! It seemed that every teacher knew our kids' names, even if my husband and I didn't know them. Any time occasional concerns arose, the administration handled them promptly! Every staff member is eager to support, listen, learn, and educate! The Curriculum: Wow! From the infant room to Pre-k, WKA truly fosters an environment where children develop a love for learning!! I have pictures of my 3-month-old painting with corn during Autumn, exploring textures by painting on bubble wrap, enjoying music class, engaging in circle time, and learning about the outdoor environment through daily walks...and that was just the beginning! Recent Pre-K lessons included meteorology, biographies, and space, just to name a few! Each day, the lesson plan is intentionally crafted to develop each learning domain! Both of my boys are such curious learners, and people are genuinely impressed by their knowledge base. Our oldest just started kindergarten, and he's extremely ahead in all subjects. After touring, we were attracted to the welcoming staff, new and clean building/environment, ample play spaces, and structured curriculum and schedules. We knew this was somewhere we could send our son until he goes off to Kindergarten. We were really drawn to the fact that they sign the teacher's contracts for a full school year, ensuring minimal turnover (our previous daycare had an incredible amount of turnover in staff and admin, which we found very disruptive to our son's routines and to us as parents). Communication between the school and parents has been wonderful (e-mail and detailed daily reports) and all of the teachers and admin really seem to enjoy what they do.

It was discovered that company had known for a long time that the school would have to close (bc so many families left due to unaddressed safety issues that enrollment was too low to continue operation). But, Metro hid this from everyone until mid-July. By that time, many other schools were full, primary positions for teachers were already full, etc. We literally only had days to find a replacement school placement. This company doesn't care about your kids - they just want your money. Think twice before giving it to them!

I want to start by saying that this school will not discuss tuition rates until after you've been on a 1 hour tour of the facility. This bugged me something serious. I feel like it is a complete waste of my time to take a one hour tour just to find out what the tuition is, only to find out that it is beyond our reach. I had to arrange childcare for my other children, so the whole experience was so inconvenient. While I loved what I saw, the simple fact is that we have a budget, and if the school is beyond that budget (which it was!), I simply will not enroll my child. I understand why they do what they do...they want to show you why they are superior to other programs. But again, if I can't afford it, I can't afford it. I really wish they would be more transparent about tuition. The school is beautiful, clean, and the grounds are amazing. The program/curriculum is wonderful. The teachers clearly have control of the classrooms and the children were very well behaved. I love that they spend so much time outside exploring. The only thing that put me off is that the tour guide (Wendy) talked so much about the accomplishments of former FMS students (I.e. Harvard graduate, playing Bach on the piano at 4 years old, etc)...I hardly think that they can take credit for those accomplishments. There is a LOT that goes into achieving things so great, and a few years in preschool is only a small fraction of it. The speech seemed a little like a sales pitch and she lost me a bit. She really didn't need to add those tidbits to sell me on the school. The school sells itself. Anyway, I attached the current tuition rates so you can decide if the tuition is within your budget before you waste an hour on the tour.

The school uses an "emergent" curriculum in early childhood where the subjects come from a children themselves; this approach has encouraged curiosity and interest in learning new things which, though not exactly "preparing a child for kindergarten" (as a previous reviewer stated), certainly prepares a child for life in the world. The focus on socialization and developmentally-appropriate interaction is meaningful for many of the students and families who attend. Preschools in this county struggle to toe the line between curricular rigor and age-appropriate programming, but TBANS errs on the side of age-appropriateness. The program has some drawbacks, primarily a marked lack of clear structure and routines which are of particular importance for a child with special needs and non-academic benchmarks which make assessing school readiness challenging; however, we have found the school to be willing to solicit and open to receiving feedback from a variety of partners. Though it has been a tumultuous year all around, we cannot fault TBANS for trying. Its faculty's dedication, professionalism, and care will stay with us and with our child long after he and we have moved on from preschool. Families will be in good hands at TBANS.

It was a very positive environment with highly experienced teachers focusing on the overall development of the children. The head of the school, Melissa Matthews, does an outstanding job managing the school and the teachers ensure that the kids are not just on par with but are also excelling beyond expectations in several elements. Discipline and kindness towards others are strongly encouraged and the children really have a lot of fun while learning. We highly recommend this school and glad that our family had the Norbeck experience.

I was extremely nervous because my child wasn't going to be in the care of a family member any longer. When my daughter started, she knew her ABCs, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. A couple of months later, my daughter was writing, reading and able to sound out words she did not know. She also learned how to count to 100+ and add and subtract! I was actually blown away with all she learned in such a short period of time. In addition, because the class is small each child receives enough 1 on 1 time with the instructor, Ms. Millis. Ms. Millis, is a wonderful teacher. Under her care and teaching, the little ones are not only very well educated they are also taught the love of God. It's a special thing because it keeps children grounded. My daughter absolutely loves Ms. Millis and she respects her a great deal. My child is now an early entrance student and scored 99% in all categories (reading, writing, math) to be accepted to Kindergarten. I'm so proud of my daughter and I am so thankful that we found this school! During the summertime, if the children remain enrolled they go on field trips everyday to places like Aviation Museums, Amusement Parks, Playgrounds, Rollerskating, Bowling, Swimming etc. If you are looking for someone that cares for your child and does extremely well educating children while centering around the Christian faith...You can't go wrong!
