I give my highest and most heartfelt recommendation to the Family Academy of Bethesda. My son has…read morebeen here since he was just three months old and stayed until almost three years old, when unfortunately we had to move away due to work relocation. If it weren't for that, we would have loved for him to stay here as long as possible. It's hard to put into words how incredible this place has been for our family. From the days when he could barely lift his head, to learning to walk, talk, sing, and share stories about his day, we've watched him grow into a happy, curious, and confident little boy--all thanks to the loving care and nurturing environment of Family Academy. He not only learned language and knowledge, but also good manners and a true love of learning. The teachers are absolutely amazing--kind, patient, and so easy to communicate with. My son is a slow and picky eater, yet they always gave him extra time and gentle encouragement. They care for each child as if they were their own. The administration team is just as wonderful; they know every child by name and engage with them warmly every single day. What makes Family Academy so special is not only the quality of education but the genuine love and attention they give to every child. The environment encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity about everything in the world. I could see every day how happy my son was here.I am deeply grateful for everything the Family Academy has given to our son and to our family. This school is truly a treasure in the community, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to any parent.

So much love for the Family Academy. Our son attended here for years, starting from the time he was…read more6 months old. Each classroom was led by caring, creative teachers. Under the center's care, my son truly blossomed. Well before we expected, he was singing songs to us, identifying letters, counting, and more. And most indicative of this center's awesomeness--my son was always so happy to go to school. It also meant a lot to me that the staff and teachers made genuine, impactful efforts to include our family's culture alongside mainstream culture, for example welcoming us to send in books about our holidays, directly engage the class in activities, and share ideas for the teachers to use. Would recommend Family Academy to anyone!!

The teachers there continued to provide support and also dropped off goodies from time to time. We love all of the teachers at SNS, but Mrs. Yurechko is hands-down the best teacher a kid (and parent) can ask for! Mrs. Betsy Meltzer was always supportive especially when our youngest daughter had separation anxiety. She provided guidance and helped us get through these tough times. Fast forward 4 years later, we are sending our last red bird to SNS. It's a bittersweet moment, and we're trying to savor every second. Thank you SNS for making preschool so memorable!

The children get lots of outdoor play on their incredible grounds, always playing with bubbles or various bikes/trikes, cubby house and play equipment. They have a weekly music class and movement class, craft and free play. The classrooms are so warm, CLEAN and filled with amazing trucks, building toys, dress ups, imagination play toys etc. truly a kids paradise. I never feel guilty about leaving my son because I know he's going to have so much fun. I have toured so many in the area and nothing even came close to this. The staff are so warm and accommodating and we feel like we gained a family at Suburban which was lovely being so far from home.

I stumbled across Bethesda Village Daycare a month before our son's due date. It was the only…read moredaycare in the area with five stars. Like any first-time pandemic parent, the idea of entrusting someone with my child's care was terrifying. But after speaking to Parvin (Grandma Pi), I knew immediately she was a match and felt confident the excellent ratings were well-deserved. Our son started attending the daycare at five months old, and words cannot express how thankful we are to have discovered Grandma Pi and her peerless daycare. Yes, she is kind, caring, attentive, and with many years of experience, as one would expect in a qualified caregiver, and yes, her daycare is spotless, the Covid-protocol strictly observed, and care (including homemade, fresh healthy food, and excellent napping schedule) without parallel, but she and her daycare are so much more than a laundry list of positive attributes. Grandma Pi has become like a family member to us. She loves our son like he is her own. In her very limited free time, she goes out and buys food to prepare for him the next day that she knows he will like or that will help improve a particular ailment. There is nothing quite as comforting as knowing your most beloved child is being cared for by a person with thirty years of training as an ICU nurse, who treats him no differently than she would her own most precious child. As if this were not enough, our son, who is not even 13 months old, is developmentally blossoming in her care. Due to Grandma Pi's devoted attention, he is already developing a rich vocabulary, impressively able to name some colors. It is astounding what a kind, experienced, loving educator can do to help jumpstart a person's lifelong love of learning. This daycare, and Parvin, the astoundingly generous, compassionate, and wonderful person who runs it, is the rarest of gems and there is little doubt that the best decision I ever made as a parent was sending my son there.

We love Parvin and Kimberly at Bethesda Village Daycare…read more Our daughter joined Parvin when she was 8 months old. As a first-time parents, we were very worried about who was going to take care of her for the most part of the day. After visiting a few home daycares, we felt relived when we met Parvin. We immediately knew that she was the right fit. With her background as a registered nurse and loving personality you cannot go wrong! She calls herself Grandma Pi and that is exactly what she is to all the kids, a Grandma. She treats each kid (and parent) as if they were her own, so much love and attention. It is almost 2 years that our daughter has been going to this daycare and she has learnt so much, although it is a play-based curriculum. She knows the alphabet, numbers up to 20, colors, animals, children songs etc. She never fusses when she is dropped off in the morning, always with a smile and ready to play with her peers. This gives us peace of mind; we know she is happy and well taken care of when she is at daycare. We could not ask for a better caregivers and teachers and will never be able to thank enough Parvin and Kimberly for the amazing job they do every day. We are grateful for having found Grandma Pi and Kimmy.
