In fact, I never refer to it as "daycare" because this truly is a learning institution, even before your child is old enough to take their first step. Our now-four year old has attended PVA since she was one, and my goodness has she flourished. One of our big worries when our daughter was born was the fact that we are both working parents and someone else would essentially "raise" her during the day until we were able to pick her up. Our concerns melted away the first week of her care there, when we would arrive to a detailed written summary of how her day went, what she ate, how much of it she ate, how many times she went potty, what "type" of potty, etc. And on top of that, she was actually bringing home art "projects"! At age One! Now, at age four, the work the PVA staff puts in with her is obvious, as her manners, vocabulary, and deductive reasoning astounds us for a child her age. Marcia is a wonderful director and - while the staff does turn over now and again - those who leave always seem to be replaced with others who are just as caring, cheery, and committed to our child. I can't recommend PVA enough, and we will be sad when our daughter leaves to attend Kindergarten in 2017.

Everyone is lovely and remembers my daughter by name even though she is only there 1-2 times a month. Ms. Seemab is especially lovely and always provides such nice feedback about what my daughter learned throughout the day and how she did. I love the daily emailed reports, which include tons of cute videos and pictures. I feel very comfortable and confident that she is in great hands while she's at Chesterbrook.

Shortly after we were warned by someone we met that it's not a good school, they were right. There are many families on grants and financial support (lower income),which we did not mind, though there is no system in place and the preschool lacks leadership and clear guidance from the director and corporate. Teachers don't seem to know when asked questions and do not make any decisions. Often, staff members were on their cell when I came to pickup. It is not Regio or Montessori teaching approach, and from what I've seen the teachers cut and glue the art projects, the children learn by repeating and being indoctrinated with information instead of exploring hands-on and being asked open-ended questions. We were not updated when there were issues that rose, and only found out after the fact that things were handled poorly and without any consent from the parents. This is our third child and I work in education, if you value your child's education and want them to thrive in a supportive, welcoming and communal environment, there are better options out there.

We are so glad we did, and we couldn't be happier!!!!! Safety protocols are followed, everything is spotless, and everyone is in masks. I am an educator and tend to scrutinize teachers & programs more than the average parent, and I am thrilled with everything Anny does with my kids. As a founding family we have been with her since the start. She is nurturing, consistent, and explains everything to her students, which is incredibly important for our son who is very concrete in his thinking. The school is incredibly organized with endless amounts of activities, wonderful natural light, and a huge outdoor play space. The Montessori materials and small setting provide the exploration and developmental opportunities that my kids weren't getting in their previous school with dozens of other children in their class. The school atmosphere and daily schedule provides my kids with the routine and stability they need. Anny's communication is phenomenal, with a weekly snack schedule, newsletter, and being accessible to discuss anything that pops up. Casa MAKV has a secure Facebook page where we can view pictures of our kids being engaged in daily activities. I'm sure I am forgetting something, but honestly we are incredibly thankful we found this school and Anny. Our kids love going to school every day and are annoyed when we come to pick them up because they are always having so much fun.

I'm a pediatric occupational therapist and a mom of 4 young children and can be quite particular with programs! Ms Anny is exactly what we were looking for and my daughter even learns spanish! Ms Anny is highly organized and responsive and also has been very accommodating when I've requested flexibility (as we were going through an adoption and a pregnancy!) She has 4 children of her own who are incredibly sweet and such wonderful role models for my daughters. I really can't say enough good things. We really lucked out!

There can be no doubt that most of the credit goes to the talented and conscientious teacher, Miss Anitha. From learning good manners to reading small sentences to knowing time/calander, planets, and countries, my daughter has thrived in an environment where she is nurtured, challenged, and loved. Miss Anitha and her supporting teacher have done a tremendous job of balancing creativity, fun, learning, and play where my daughter comes home with new concepts and experiences. The kids are exposed to different cultures by celebrating worldwide festivals, Spanish language, experimental science, geography, and many more! Miss Anitha has been quite invested in her contentment and development; that my daughter wants to go to school even on holidays! Field trips every other month is a plus! The school is the perfect size for the teachers to give each child individual attention but also large enough for the kids to learn to play and share. The school have surpassed my expectations, and I can happily and enthusiastically recommend their exemplary program for any child between age two and six.
