That said, this preschool was, by far, the most dynamic, caring, and stimulating preschool I've ever had the privilege to work for! New Covenant is a preschool motivated by the Christian faith. Grace is said before snack, and positive Bible stories are often shared in the morning circle. The Christian faith inspires the school's dedication to thanksgiving, forgiveness, and honesty. The classrooms are well-equipped with a variety of stations and activities. They are clean, meticulously organized, and children-focused. The schedules are intentionally built to foster creativity and support learning while maintaining a four-year-old's attention span. The teachers are extremely well-qualified and deeply compassionate. There is intentional and frequent communication between teachers and parents, and teachers are seen as partners in the development of the children. Academically, the school thoroughly prepares its pupils for kindergarten and beyond. Besides the essential social skills that every kindergartener needs in order to succeed, New Covenant teaches age-appropriate mathematics and literacy, adapted to each child's individual level. Student progress is recorded and analyzed to maximize the efficiency of lesson plans. The arts are a priority, and music is often included as a tool in the lesson plans. I would highly recommend this school for parents of all faith backgrounds.

There is absolutely nothing like these classes around. My kids have not only an appreciation for music but it has given them confidence I never had at that age and I really owe it to the tiny tunes programs. The times of classes are super accommodating to our busy schedule and 3 kids that are all over the place with school and activities. I can't praise the staff highly enough. Julie and Bridget are just the best - they are like family. We look forward to class every week and have made friends with other kids/parents in the classes. My daughter has gotten so much out of the Live Music Program (3 mos-3 yrs) and we are very excited to start the STARS! Performance Program (3-14 yrs) soon! Erolynn in Room 4 has been an instrumental educator for our wild and very extroverted 2 yr old. He comes home having learned new skills, song, words, animals, good behaviors, etc that I know for 100% have come from her style of gentle nurturing and support. If it was possible to keep him in her class through his daycare years I would, and I've tried:) She has taught him how to interact "gentle" with his peers and others, giving him and his classmates so much love it's expanded his horizons exponentially. He rushes to see her every day and has meant so much. As we enter into the last week of a wonderful year, I couldn't imagine leaving a review without recognizing the amazing staff that greet every family with so much enthusiasm and vigor each day, Ms Patty and Ms Andrea bring the kids in pumped for a fun day where they feel so loved. Abby and Joan and Ally in the preschool class are exceptional at nurturing young minds and young big emotions with our 4 yr old, helping him articulate and express his interests, make friendships and be respectful to themselves and others. Finally the swim staff, Brendan & Danielle who have helped generate a love of the water, safety, fun and excitement are incredible. She is basically mute, and they didn't tell me or ever once encourage her to speak. I told the director, Stephanie about the multiple OTHER policy violations I noticed and she did absolutely nothing about it, so I pulled her out, reported them to the state, and I'm sending my kid to therapy. Don't send your kids here, there is an investigation forthcoming. I have seen other small children being pulled up from the floor by their arms and being called names. This place is rife with abuse.

The first time I went to a Mom's Village when they were renting out a studio, I didn't know what to expect but I had felt so isolated as a new mother and wanted to work on getting a piece of myself back. I was also nervous about leaving my daughter, who was only 1 at the time, with anyone but family. I gave it a chance anyway and I am so happy I did. Never once did I worry about my daughter being safe and cared for by the childcare at the Village. The fitness classes have always pushed me and given me the variety I like- offering barre, kickboxing, HIIT, yoga, among others. The instructors are always helpful with modifications, while making sure you are getting the challenge you want/need. To have the amenities to go take a shower in peace or sit in the mommy lounge to have a hot cup of coffee while socializing without any interruptions is priceless. The community that has been built by Steph, Cindy and Lindsey can not be beat- it's mom supporting moms and enjoying this time of our lives together. I am forever grateful to have found this place.

This is a review for Lynn…read more The commuter rail is right across the street, so it's convenient for people who don't have cars-- or for people who have cars but don't want to drive in the snow. Since I live in Gloucester, the train schedule isn't ideal, but it's better than nothing. My first semester, I took a night class that ended around 9pm. Unfortunately, this meant I had to wait until 11pm to take the train home. The school is technically closed by then, but I got to wait inside until I had to leave. I actually wasn't worried about my safety, but the campus police were more than happy to walk me over and keep me company until I got on the train. It's kind of strange how different presentations/activities are done in the cafeteria, but I guess they just use the space they have. I saw someone talk about the Netherlands, which was kind of interesting, but most of the people hanging around the caf weren't there to listen to the guy talk. I love the library. I spend most of my time at school sitting there. There are a couple areas with fairly comfortable couches, little cubicles with lights/outlets to plug in a laptop, and desks where groups can study. I'm a big fan of the small class sizes. For the most part, I've loved my teachers. Most of them are more than willing to meet for extra help if you want it, and they really do want you to succeed. The quality of the class, of course, depends on the individual teacher. Some classes are, in my mind, high school level, but if you want a challenge, you can find it. Oh, and if you really want to step out of your comfort zone? You can cross-register with any one of ten NECCUM schools, which includes Gordon College, Endicott College, Salem State College and others. Doing this actually costs the same amount as registering for a class at NSCC. Neat, right? I sure thought so. I haven't done it yet, but I hope to register for an Italian class in the fall. (The downside is that many employees at NSCC have never heard of this, so you have to insist that it exists. I'm saving money by completing classes I would've needed at a four-year school anyway, I'm building confidence by earning good grades at a not-so-intimidating school, and it's somewhat close to home. I don't know if I'd recommend it to EVERYONE, but it's really the best thing for me at this point in time.

There is a big difference between NSCC in Danvers and Lynn. Danvers is a much newer facility with…read moremore resources than Lynn. Lynn's campus was built after the Great Lynn Fire in 1981. If I remember correctly it was built next to where one of the buildings burned down. The empty field next to the campus on Broad St couldn't be built on because it was contaminated. Anyways, the Lynn campus is obviously aged. The building itself is holding up alright and the campus has the less priviliaged students of the immediate area. Danver's campus has the students from more promenient cities such as Boxford, Georgetown, Hamilton-Wenham, Middleton, Danvers, etc. So Lynn's campus is much more diverse from experiencing both. The majority faculty of the facility teach at both locations and the college itself is pretty good. Now, education in Massachusetts is not cheap......but compared to Salem State and U-Mass Boston tuition prices........this place is a steal. Community college is like a disco with books: "Here's ten dollars; let me get my learn on!" -Chris Rock There are many unique clubs and organizations here to be apart of. The faculty seems to care about your success even if you don't. Tuition is $125 per credit, the books are expensive as always. If you want to be financially wise, don't go to a four year school right away. Hit up this place first and get the prerequisite classes finished......95% will transfer within the ctate college system agreement North Shore has. You'll save yourself some money and be able to see two schools instead of just one. -Almost done with NSCC, aiming for UNC: Chapel Hill!

I enrolled my son in private lessons at Beverly Driving School ( AKA) NICASTROS…read morepresently know as , for 8 classes at 75$ a pop and was mislead and he was given a False impression as to his readiness, amongst late driving lessons and many other irregularities not to mention or bore Readers with. Today, we were told to arrive At 8:45 promptly in which we had, only to be left in-limbo while many others arrived to be Taken before him. After over an hour my wife inquired as to the delay after watching Several others taken before us, we were told to be patient while watching the same redundant rudeness. After moving our vehicle over towards the front after several vehicles exited and left with hope and promise, only then, did an employee walk Out and over to us and stated " ok, it's now your turn," only to leave my son with quick Anxiety, as I watched him enter the driving school vehicle, put on his seat belt, use a directional, and follow ALL proper use of NSC and Registry Protocols. He exited the lot only to be immediately returned and Arrived back at our car upset that he was told he failed. Leading to many thoughts, Mainly he was targeted because we may have spoken up as to why there was delay, Whether he was targeted, or he was the failed quota of the day. He had driven with me via the week, all day yesterday, and was The individual who drove me there today. When I asked what happened, he was upset. I observed rudeness, unproffessionlism, and Flagrant favoritism just while waiting. If I could give a finger I stead of a star in which it deserves would be more fitting. Couldn't ask for more, love the communication between sylvan and my son's school, and he's improving. Highly recommend.

My experience with this school was extremely disappointing…read more My son spent 4 years here and completed 2nd grade unable to read independently. During that time, we trusted the school's guidance, paid thousands of dollars in tuition, and believed he was making academic progress. Only after seeking outside evaluations did we discover that he was significantly behind in reading and writing. In my opinion, this school is not properly equipped to support children who need additional academic help or who have speech and communication delays. Rather than providing meaningful support and intervention, it often felt as though children with extra needs were viewed as a burden. What disappointed me most was the lack of urgency and concern regarding my child's learning progress. As parents, we expected honest communication, early intervention, and a clear plan to help him succeed. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Parents should carefully monitor their child's academic development and ask questions early and often. Do not assume everything is on track simply because your child is being promoted to the next grade. Every child deserves educators who are genuinely committed to their success and willing to provide the support they need to thrive.

I am a huge fan of Mount Hope Christian School! They take kids from the community starting at 15…read moremonths. We love the community of educators and families that make the school. We feel that our children are safe, loved and being taught the values that represent our family's core values. The corner stone, of course, is that the education is great - my children are equipped with life skills and a solid educational foundation for a bright future. I have three kids: one who went to the toddler program, preschool, pre-K and is now in the elementary school; another is in pre-K; the last will begin preschool when she's 2.9 years old. One thing that continues to impress me is that every single year, we get an awesome group of teachers to instruct and partner with us to raise our kids. most of the classes are pretty small but have consistent and ample staffing to provide a stable and engaging environment. They are accredited by EEC & have a fun but challenging curriculum for each age/grade. Through early Covid, the school reacted and engaged with the students at a very high level online. In fall 2020, they opened back up for in person learning. Our family did not partake in that school year but we missed a lot of things about it and tried to stay informed. The only thing that has made me sad is when families move to public school for elementary and the little friendships and parent relationships fall off. I am encouraged that there is talk of expanding the school to include middle school in the near future and I hope this has an impact on more kids staying. Either way, we know Mount Hope is the right place for us! The facilities are well-kept and have recently been renovated (all of the bathrooms are new and updated and the playground equipment has been recently changed). There is a hot lunch program, which is prepared on site and catered by Burlington famous pizza. There is also for school and after school care options available. It's definitely an investment to get great childcare and education, but it's an investment well worth it! Our kids are our now and our future!
