I went there for blood tests the ER wasn't that busy. The staff was most gracious and kind. They were concerned about me.

I have been going to Embody Her Health since they opened and have had such an amazing experience!…read moreNot only is the office absolutely gorgeous and clean, but their staff is professional and accommodating. I have had both wellness visits with Dr. Rybak and have used their IV infusions on multiple occasions. During each visit with Dr. Rybak, I was presented with options that would address whatever my health or wellness needs were. I never felt pressure to purchase anything on the spot, I left feeling well informed and confident that I would be able to follow up after having some time to consider my options. I had a relaxing experience with the IV infusion, the room is cozy and chairs are so comfortable. I will definitely be back for more. If you're looking for top quality women's care in a beautiful environment you should schedule an appointment with Embody.

Here's how it works at EHH:…read more You call and make an appointment for a new patient. They tell you the lab and appt fees. Fine. You have labs drawn on week one. You review the labs with the provider on week two. Fine. A salesperson then comes in immediately after the provider leaves, and attempts to sell you a subscription into their $1,000/year club, which essentially gives you the privilege of getting your meds filled at your own pharmacy. The alternative is to pay jacked-up prices and buy your meds from the clinic. It's completely unethical to withhold pricing structure information like this to new patients , and ONLY revealing the final cost after they are already on the hook for $200 in labs and $100 clinic fees. It makes me wonder what other information they are withholding. I can't do business with a place like this.

I absolutely have the outmost approval and respect for the nursing and doctor staff at Anderson…read more They are terrific! However I don't understand the new expensive modification to the Walk-in ER and the ER staff. First of all, the new entrance to the ER is so bad, someone could die before getting front the parking lot to the check-in desk that had nobody there to check in for over 10 minutes. Secondly my wife was taken to the ER by ambulance and I went in to check how she was going and I asked if I could see a nurse for status and an hour later I still hadn't heard. I simply left. I would have recommended this ER and Hospital to everyone 3, 2 or a year ago, but am thinking it has really, really gone done hill over the past year.

Very dangerous as they are not equipped to handle the many variables that come with cardiovascular disease. Women and diabetics of both sexes present with atypical symptoms and often have normal looking ecgs. A mid level is not going to catch unstable or stable angina in most of those cases. They gave me a GI cocktail. Well, it has phenobarbital mixed with lidocaine and Pepcid. lol I guess they thought it was aNxIetY since I am female. I have a pretty high calcium score. And it is on the LAD. Thankful for a good pcp who sent me for stress testing and labs etc. We will handle it. I know not to ever take family to this hospital for anything other than a hang nail.

My wife Tiffany was a patient at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois for 10 days in…read more2026. Unfortunately, her stay was marked by disappointment and several eye-opening incidents. Upon admission, I was concerned that no transportation was provided, forcing me to transport my non-mobile wife myself from the hospital to The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. We then experienced a significant delay in receiving assistance upon arrival at the facility, and I ultimately had to move my wife to her room myself to prevent exposure to freezing temperatures. The initial room assignment was also problematic, as a visibly and verbally upset individual appeared outside our room, disputing the placement of a bed. The head nurse intervened and resolved the issue. I was also alarmed to discover that it took 7 minutes and 22 seconds to receive assistance after pressing the call light. I immediately expressed my concerns to the nurse and negotiated an agreement to place a seizure rescue inhaler next to my wife's bed as a precautionary measure. I emphasized to the head nurse that patients with epilepsy are unlikely to self-administer medication during the initial phases of a seizure. The staff seemed uninformed about treating patients with epilepsy, citing a targeted response time of 5 minutes after a patient presses their call light. However, this is inadequate, as a seizure typically lasts between 30 seconds and 2 minutes, and a seizure lasting 5 minutes is considered a medical emergency. I was so concerned that I sent a letter to the CEO, highlighting the need for improved protocols, including the installation of video cameras in patient rooms to enable visual checks. I also suggested that the current response time is inadequate and potentially life-threatening. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response. Furthermore, the nurses' aids we encountered during Tiffany's stay were unprofessional and inexperienced. For example, when my wife requested to be moved to her chair to eat the morning meal, she was told 'no' in a flat and direct manner, and the aid promptly left the room, shutting the door forcably behind her. This behavior frightened my wife, who sent me the following desperate text: Please hurry please please! I cannot believe how I was just treated! I'm afraid PLEASE hurry Babe! When I arrived at the facility, the head nurse informed me that my wife was lying, as the aid denied the incident. The matter was essentially dismissed, with the only consequence being that the aid would not visit my wife's room again during her stay. In conclusion, while the facility is relatively new and in good condition, the staff seems divided, resulting in poor service. For instance, the facility did not have access to the seizure medications my wife was taking, forcing me to bring in the missing medications, which was a nightmare to get approved. True leadership is needed to address these issues, and if not addressed promptly, I fear that we may be reading about a tragedy instead of a remarkable recovery story.

I am only giving two stars because of the people who do therapy. The larger issue is the nurses, techs, and basically everyone else who is there to care for your loved ones in-between therapies. The responsivness for bathroom breaks (especially when they are given drugs that make them go #2 more) , water refills (hydration), bed alarms (if you get up and are not supposed to), and pull cords in bathrooms is, in a word, HORRID. My wife, as an example, hit the call button (which isn't a 2-way communication system. It just sends an alert that a room needs help. I'll come back to that, and then someone is to come help) and it took them 15 mins to come get her to go potty. Then they had to put her belt on and make her use a walker even though she was about to explode, and then LEFT HER there (not supposed to) on the toilet and when she pulled the cord in the bathroom to come get her they left her sitting there for 30 MINS. Her legs fell asleep. The level of responsiveness at this facility is akin to a bill getting passed in government. It takes a LONG time. They have almost no sense of urgency. I walked by the nurses station as I heard alarms going off for rooms literally a stones throw away, and they were engaged in conversations and laughing, like the world around them fell away. As if the nurses station was magically surrounded by a soundproof barrier. I'm going to be doing everything I can to get her the F out of there and at least I know at home that my kids and I will be taking better care of her in between her therapies and they could possibly even think of. If I were you and I had a choice of a place to take my loved one to a rehabilitation center, I would avoid BJC or Encompass health facilities at all costs. The healthcare at BJC wasn't much better when it was getting towards time for her to check out they acted like she was a pariah. They even left her at the exit of the building sitting on a stool, not in a wheelchair, to put in a car because they needed the wheelchair back and I had to basically help her get to the car they couldn't even have the decency to wait for her. So, it seems that anywhere related to BJC is something to avoid, unfortunately.
