Greens are not consistent and very bumpy. I normally play here up to a half dozen times a year and have always enjoyed the course, but I will not be back until I see pictures that the course is back in shape. Keep in mind they are still charging full price to play here even though the course is under construction.

We generally play on our way up north and it is pretty easy to get a tee time during prime times. Also, green fees are very reasonable compared to similar courses in the Twin Cities.

There were a few people in front of me, but the pace of play was fantastic with minimal waiting. No one can complain about 18 holes in under 3 hours! The course is looking better and better every year. All of the bunkers have new sand in them which I made sure to try out four different times to have a thorough review ;). The greens rolled true and had decent speed. There are a few unique holes on this course that require some strategy and shot making to do well. It definitely isn't wide open and there is a lot of potential to lose balls. There are also a few holes that are lined with houses on one side or the other. The typically don't come into play unless you hit a very poor shot. If you are a decent golfer, this is a really fun course. If you have trouble getting the ball in the air regularly, this would be very very frustrating. The only negative is that the bugs were bad. I would suggest taking some bug spray with you. There were two holes on the front nine that are quite damp, and I thought I was going to be carried away by the mosquitoes. The rest of the course were still buggy but tolerable. It may have been due to it still being relatively early and I was walking making me an easy meal.

The starter let us go off early since we were ready and the foursome before us wasn't there yet. Appreciated that. We played in just over 4 hours. The forward tees are short coming in at less than 4800 yards. Tee boxes were a bit ragged. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Sand was not fluffy and more like light dirt. Not a lot of water on the course. Lots of trees and fairly narrow fairways. There were a couple of holes that were kind of goofy, and S-shaped hole, one with a tiny pond right next to the green that should have probably been a trap instead, and one that was using a temp green which severely shortened what should have been a par 5. Overall, it was a good course for the price.

If you have dinner at the diner next door you get buy 1, get 1 coupon. It is outdoors, so it is very seasonally dependent, but on a good day with great weather like the day I visited, it will be so much fun. They have putters for all sizes, tall or small kids and you get to choose your color of balls, which is exciting for kids. There isn't much of service to comment on as you will pay and be on your own. It is not too busy thanks to its location, so there isn't big of a problem waiting for the previous group to spare up the hole. I'd recommend this place.
