The staff is rude and lazy, spending more time joking and flirting with each other than paying attention to their customers. The female "doctor" or pharmacist on staff won't even acknowledge her customers with eye contact or a "hello"--just a curt, "Name, date of birth." The rudeness and lack of professionalism is lousy and needs to be addressed on its own--but the fact that these guys can't seem to fill a prescription unless you physically walk in and complain about it is just unacceptable. I've had to do this EVERY month since I started getting my prescriptions filled here. They forget or fail to make notes in their system, allowing patients to run out of meds. They'll also tell you they are out of stock and have to order meds, in order to buy time and push you to the next day. Just an absolutely deplorable pharmacy. Take your prescriptions ANYWHERE BUT HERE.

They need more help. One person working the drive-thru and checkout is not enough for the amount of business they do. My previous experiences were very similar. Don't get me started on the privacy issues. If I were a bad person, I could easily document people's names, addresses, dates of birth, and medications being picked up. Personally, I hand them my ID. Please don't ask me for all my personal information in front of strangers. What happened to privacy and HIPAA? Big pet peeve. I'm removing them as my preferred pharmacy with my doctor. The general store staff and checkout are fine, but no more pharmacy pickups for me.

Even then, I sometimes have to travel to a further location because they do not carry a large stock in their pharmacy. This store seems larger then most I feel. It is on a busy main road corner that makes it difficult to enter at times as people tend to block the entrance from the side. It also is a cut through for traffic to go around the back into the shopping center. Staff has been polite on the occasions I have been here. The bathrooms do always seem to need to be cleaned and to access the restrooms you need to a key from the pharmacy. It does seem to need a facelift. It is a good location if you are stuck at the tire kingdom next door to pick up a drink and some snacks.

But good intentions don't automatically make something fair or appropriate. At this location, there are always people stationed directly in front of the doors -- not off to the side, but literally standing where customers have to walk in and out. You can't enter or exit without squeezing past them or feeling like you're being cornered to stop and talk. It creates social pressure, and it's uncomfortable. Not because I don't care about the cause, but because I don't like feeling obligated or guilty just to shop. I spoke with who appeared to be the manager about it and was told, "That's fine, but we do it because it's for a good cause." To me, that was dismissive. Customer comfort shouldn't come second to corporate charity optics. What makes it even more frustrating is that many of us already give what we can to these causes. Times are tough -- groceries and essentials are expensive -- and being physically stopped at the door adds guilt to people who are often already doing their best. Supporting a cause is wonderful. But it should never come at the expense of customer experience, comfort, or access to the store. A fair solution would be letting customers donate inside at checkout or digitally, without having to physically push past someone to enter. I hope Walgreens reconsiders this practice. Not because the cause isn't worthy, but because respecting customers' space is too.
