That being said, the kitchen got backed up pretty quickly with all the people there so good ended up taking around 70 minutes or so. I got the Mac burger and thought the burger was flavored well and juicy. Toppings were really fresh. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce on the burger which is their house sauce. Parking is complimentary, although the lot was already filling up quickly. Happy hour was in full swing, which I'm sure contributed to the lively atmosphere. Since our table had about a 15-minute wait, we grabbed seats at the bar to start the evening. Service at the bar was friendly and efficient despite the crowd. I ordered the 30hop Old Fashioned while my wife enjoyed one of their mules, and both cocktails were well made and a great way to kick off the evening. For an appetizer, we tried the Bang Bang Brussels sprouts and really enjoyed them. The dish had a fun Asian-inspired twist with great texture and flavor that elevated a vegetable that can often be forgettable. My entrée was the Buffalo Chicken Wedge Salad, and wow -- this thing was loaded. Crispy buffalo chicken, avocado, bacon, egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, corn salsa, carrots, and plenty of other toppings piled onto a generous bed of greens. Too often restaurants skimp on salad toppings and leave you hunting for the good stuff, but not here. Every bite had something going on, and by the end I was completely stuffed despite ordering a salad. The restaurant itself has a modern, energetic vibe with a beautiful bar area and a large outdoor patio that looked like a fantastic place to spend an evening. We opted for the air conditioning this time, but we'll definitely be back to enjoy the outdoor seating in the future. Great food, excellent cocktails, attentive service, and a fun atmosphere make this an easy five-star experience. We sat at a table, to see the folks giving out questions. The booths make viewing difficult. Next time we'll try a booth, as they look more comfortable. Service started out sparse. That poor woman was already slim, and the volume of people, with just one waitress, guaranteed she'd be slimmer by end of night. They got it together and provided some help for her for serving. The staff was good, friendly and enjoyable. I expect that someone was missing that day, as it seemed unusual for the lone waitress. She was even kind enough to apologize to us and ask for patience. The location has immensely high ceilings with movie posters on them. A giant fan keeps the air moving. It was a good and useful appearance. One I appreciated. Parking was easy. Being attached to Alamo Drafthouse, one could find that difficult, but fortunately. The lot is huge, facing north and wrapping around the east side. Trivia was fun. While we didn't do as well as the rest of the mob, we had fun! That, diligent service, reasonable eats and drinks, and easy parking made it an event we will likely attend again.
