    BART Station - 5-9-2025

Colma is my favorite BART station to park at and take the train into the city coming from San Jose…read morewhen I don't want to take public transportation all the way from the South Bay. The parking garage is big and always has a multitude of spots, oftentimes right across from the station entryway which is conveniently directly attached to the garage. Take a short escalator down and you're right in the center of the station. It's 10-20 minutes on BART into SF (depending where you're going) from Colma, avoiding city driving and expensive parking without having too much of a ride in and back. On the weekdays parking is $3 through the BART app (prefill your car information to avoid getting held up) and free on weekends and holidays. Relatively clean and easy to navigate station. There's a machine you can purchase Clipper cards at or refill your card without hassle, check the fare calculator but for a non-discounted ride to Civic Center in SF it's $4.50 at the moment one way. Red and yellow lines frequently stop here, though you will have to transfer at another station for other lines. Just an all around nicely maintained station that I recommend especially if you are parking and riding into the city and are looking for an easy experience.

PARKING ($3) The parking garage fills up a little after…read more9:00AM Monday to Thursday. On Mondays it is definitely the heaviest day; you should probably come by 8:30AM to secure a spot. Fridays less people go to work less of a rush there. Reserved parking on the first and second floors become available after 10:00AM, if your job allows you could plan to come later in the morning to get those parking spots (which are closer to the BART entrance too). Lots of bird poop in certain spots, so beware! Be careful around the turns, you might not see a car coming from the other direction. They do check for parking/payments often here. I see them checking cars often in the mornings. Word of advice to the BART parking checkers though...don't check cars in a parking section that isn't full yet since people are still pulling in. Once I got a ticket maybe 45 seconds after I parked. I paid for parking 30 seconds after the ticket was given to me. (I didn't see it until the evening). It was just annoying that I then needed to spend my time to fight the ticket. Get a EZRider account so you can pay with Clipper Card. If the parking garage fills up the Samtrans parking lot is across the street, also for $3. They accept credit cards as well. Longer walk to get to the station but at least you got a parking spot! ATTENDANTS The attendants are very pleasant and always willing to answer my random questions about parking or losing an item! BATHROOMS Often 1 will be out-of-order. The other bathroom exists for emergencies but the last 2 times I went there was no soap :( THE STATION Also a lot of bird poop recently. On weekday mornings trains to SF come every 7 minutes, so you're never waiting for too long. If you go one more spot North (Daly City) the trains come even more often, but their parking lot fills up way too early. Depending on what train you catch, you may get a seat. In the 8-8:30AM time range there is more people. By 9:00AM you could get a seat in the Antioch line, but maybe not the Richmond line since a lot of commuters get on the train in Millbrae. LOCATION Good location directly off the 280 freeway. Cheap gas stations nearby. In&Out nearby.

I needed help moving a bedroom + living room + dining room in within San Francisco…read more Sunny quickly and clearly communicated with me, and they were available both via Yelp and by phone. It was easy to make a moving reservation. The movers were punctual and worked quickly/diligently. They wrapped all items and took care to protect our furniture. They moved us at a good price. I would use them again and recommend them to any friend moving.

Reliable, efficient, and a good value!…read more We found them by Googling and looking at Yelp, they have very high ratings which I now know why. This was for a one-way move from the Bay Area to Nevada, about a 4+ hour drive. Cost: reasonable and better than some other companies which wanted much much more. Fixed price based on what I described we had to move. I conferred w Nancy via phone, text, email. 4% fee if credit card is used. $200 deposit, can pay by cash/check/Venmo or Zelle. I used a cash app. There's no written contract. Moving day: Last month: movers Bao & Deng, don't speak English but seemed to understand us. Owner/supervisor Nancy came to out house to see, a surprise! Their moving truck was clean. Moved items from house and storage facility. They padded and plastic wrapped bigger items like sofa, dresser, desk, etc. They are efficient and know their stuff - what would've taken me and my family 3-4 hours to move they finished in 30 minutes! Nothing broken, nothing damaged. Payment: $200 cash tip each. $2,100 final payment via Cash App. Reliable, efficient movers, would use them again!

Less a review, and more a very SERIOUS WARNING regarding this company:…read more First, I am not a social media reputation assassin looking to grind an axe or personally gain. Second, I have exhausted all efforts to resolve this situation directly with the company: calling immediately after it occurred and being promised prompt management follow up; calling the following day to find no record and receiving the same promise; and calling the once again following day with the same result. I have reiterated the gravity of the situation, and clearly the company does not take it seriously. My partner, following a series of stressful flight delays/cancellation, found herself returning home from SFO in a Daly City Cab. Most of that ride was spent with me on the phone to ensure her safety. The driver, it seems, deemed it appropriate to initiate and persistently pursue a highly inappropriate (to say the least) and harassing sexual conversation: "does your boyfriend know you're coming" and "how many times a day do you have sex" were some quotes that I was able to distill. She was made uncomfortable, fearful, violated, and traumatized. I waited outside for their arrival with the intent to ensure safety and avoid direct confrontation. The driver took the opportunity to add insult to injury by charging in excess of $100 for the ride (the usual broken credit card machine routine, and she had refused to let him drive her to an ATM). With that, I asked the driver if he had been inappropriate and he became dodgy and defensive ("I was just making conversation" was the only thing not muttered under breath). He refused to provide credentials, but did finally provide a first name. The cab number (25), I was able to get from the side of the vehicle. I take no pleasure from putting a company, or individual, on public blast, but have not been given any alternative. Please be EXTREMELY CAUTION with this company and its contracted drivers. A woman travelling alone at night should NEVER feel threatened or harassed by a taxi driver. UPDATE: A manager (I assume) did eventually call me back and provided very little in the way of comfort or resolution. After talking in circles a bit, his dismissive advice to me was to "do what I have to do". I respect that drivers are merely contracted by the company, but the company act as stewards of the service and are responsible for the safety and security of their customers. The lack of follow up, compassion, or resolution is nearly as disturbing as the incident itself. To the manager who instructed my to do what I have to do: I provided a full week and made every effort to work with you. I have filed complaints with the BBB, Daly City Chamber of Commerce, and posted this warning to anyone that might consider using your services in the future.

One thing to say: Rude Drivers…read more The key to success is a happy face on an employee. I told them i had to cancel a ride, the driver was so rude! I told him, " I have to cancel the ride " he said "YOU HAVE TO CANCEL NOW!?" Then hunggup. He didnt even let me explain why. Why are taxi drivers like this? Good thing theres UBER & LYFT.
