All I needed was to turn in a form because I will be sponsoring my dustier god daughter for her confirmation in February. I don't come to this church every single Sunday due to personal reasons. Now because I'm not "registered" and because I live in Antioch, "I don't belong to this church". I've never felt so belittled and offended. It's like the doors to this church are completely closed for me. I'm honestly very disappointed. My son got baptized there when he was one and didn't have any issues until now. My family goes to church here almost every Sunday too. I'm very mind blown and disappointed.

With only 4 months left, the pastor Dt Bonnie's has now and the Liturgy staff member Anthony refused me the hosts. Both demanded he attend mass if he wanted to recrivr the Nlesdrd Sacrament. His cancer progressed to his vomiting blood all over the bed and bedroom rug. He was rushed to a John Muir and there for 10 days. Fathers then insisted I come everyday to mass to bring my husband a host. I explained we had no kids and my family was all dead I was his sole caregiver. I couldn't leave him. Fathers and Anthony said no, no. A former Superior at SAN Damiano then and still now pastor of a church in Buodby Sweden told me see Father Fred at Dt Mary's. Guess what he was great. The Blessed sacrament was always waiting for me every Tuesday at 10 Am. Fr Fred with his kindness made it possible for Don have Jesus with him everyday including the morning of 12/9. He died that afternoon. If any of you have a problem with the staff , don't register your complaint at the Cathederal Ofgivr with a Fr Steve Young a real smart alleviate. I know longer belong to this parish. I was very active and so was my husband. I hope God punished ur pastor for this. He isn't a priests priest like Richard Mangini and David Lawrence.

I read a few comments complaining about the Biblical views, well, this is after all a Christian School that teaches Biblical truth and not a watered down version of it. Berean actually applies the Bible as God has commanded, so it is appropriate that the school is against certain behaviors and actions. As a parent I appreciate that and my son seems to find it a great place to be. This school is truly a gem for believing parents and teenagers in the Bay Area.

I attended Berean for both my freshman and sophomore years, and unfortunately, my experience there…read morewas extremely disappointing. As a student of color, I often felt unwelcome and unsupported. Throughout my time at the school, I experienced repeated bullying and racist remarks from other students. Despite these incidents being brought to the attention of staff, little to nothing was done to address the situation appropriately. What made the experience even more upsetting was the clear favoritism shown by staff toward certain students. Discipline and school policies, especially the dress code, seemed to be enforced unfairly. I was dress coded numerous times for outfits that other students wore without consequence, which made the treatment feel inconsistent and discriminatory. The environment at the school became so toxic and emotionally draining that I eventually transferred to another high school because the bullying had become unbearable. Instead of feeling safe and supported in what should have been a positive Christian environment, I felt isolated, targeted, and silenced for most of my time there. In my opinion, the school did not reflect the values of Christianity, such as kindness, fairness, compassion, and inclusion. No student should feel forced to leave a school because of bullying, racism, or unequal treatment.

I am sharing our recent experience to help other families who value clear communication, accurate…read moreenrollment information, and active safety protocols: First, student safety is completely minimized. My child is being repeatedly bullied by the same boy, pushed from behind and had tan bark thrown at them. When I brought this to the director, she completely dismissed it, claiming the boy just "doesn't know how to express himself," and offered absolutely no solution to keep my child safe. Second, the management is incredibly dishonest and unorganized. They cut the fall schedule from 5 classes to 4 because a teacher is pregnant. They knew this when we enrolled in February, yet the director hid it from us and just copy pasted her weekly emails without mentioning the cut. We only found out two months later because we asked. When we brought up our concerns, the director simply offered to refund our last couple of weeks and send us on our way, showing they do not care about a child's stability. Furthermore, they gave us contradictory stories about enrollment, telling me in person that we were first on the waitlist, but telling my husband we were fifth. Every family deserves to feel completely safe, informed, and supported in their preschool community. I hope sharing these facts helps you find the right, transparent fit for your little one.

As a first time parent nervous to leave their first child to go back to work is intimidating. But, Calvary made such an easy transition for Caleb and I. I knew my son was taken care of. The staff is amazing! Very caring and loving. I walk in to always hi and good morning. I even stay longer sometimes to talk to everyone. If I'm not in a rush. Calvary has been so supportive even with my sons medical conditions and always called me to check on my son. Even had a teacher send my son a get well card. I'm so sad that my son is moving on from Calvary and onto elementary school. It's going to be a huge transition not only to my son but, me as well. I'm happy to say we are expecting baby #2 next February and excited Calvary will still be apart of my family. Thank you Calvary for all that you do ! (:

We will truly miss this school! They have a very strong and stable group of educators, led by an amazing director, Ms. Amy. I always felt my child was safe here, communication was excellent, and the growth my daughter has experienced educationally and emotionally this year has made me very proud. Also, their fee schedule is very affordable compared to others in the area (and at NO deficit to the services provided), they really do try to put the needs of families and children first. I know how difficult it is to find satisfactory childcare, from one parent to another --- I highly recommend checking out Calvary Christian.
