Sometimes Stacy talks with the speed of a madman, but he is quick, painless, and has an answer (and a book) for any question that comes up. Stacy Spink is as good as it gets, when it comes to Tax services. I don't think I have ever been to Tax accountant where the experience was fun, but a lot of ground was covered. Stacy was incredibly thorough, but explained everything really well and made it easy to understand. The best part of the process is that he makes you do your own worksheets. It is a very simple process, you just need to dedicate an hour or so, depending on how complicated your stuff is. If you aren't willing to put in this effort, don't bother going to him. With Stacy, it's about collaboration. And in less than 20 minutes, he gets the job done. He even dropped my returns in the mail for me. How cool is that? And Jenn the assistant is pretty awesome. She calls herself his 'Slave', and it made me chuckle. But with the amount of returns they do during tax season, I don't think she is stretching the truth that much. She has an awesome sense of humor and a delight to speak with. The best part of my experience today by far was Catya (I hope I spelt the name right) the Cat. The most loving and caring little lap kitty ever. She will jump on you and give you love and hugs. Kudos to Stacy for rescuing and caring for an older cat. Stacy is great. He is proud of what he does, and he does it well. Besides, he is a great dad, a phenomenal soccer coach for his kids and an environmentalist by biking everywhere. This was my first year with Stacy instead of HR Block. I will never go back to HR Block. Stacy is knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely helpful. He answered all my questions thoroughly and went through my tax return in great detail. He really knows his stuff so I felt assured that I got back everything I should be getting back. I went her last year, horrible service, plus I got audited by IRS. So I paid for not only his crappie service but over 3k by IRS, first time and last time I use this service. I was never contacted when my paperwork was received, I had to call up every 2 days to know the status of my paperwork, they even stated that he lost it in his house and got his wife to find it. One of the worst experiences I've had this year with Stacy! I've been coming to him for about 3 Years now and every year this guy surprises me with his off personality. Now I want to make this very clear. I'm not one of those yelp users who leave good or bad comments but I can't help to make this known about this man. The last two years that I've done my taxes with him he's been rude over and over. I know the tax business is not easy but for god sakes this is your job to deal with people. After all no one works for free. This year, was his last straw with me. The last time I visited him, he wouldn't even let me talk or even ask questions about my own taxes. I was in complete shock on how he spoke to me. I'm a very understanding person but I do not and will not allow anyone to disrespect me. I had an appointment with him (which I drove from a very far distance to come to him) and he kept rushing me out of his office. He kept telling me has other clients that he needs to take and that he can't help me and that I need to leave. Now you can only imagine the look on my face, when this is the man I'm paying my money too do my taxes. I finally put my foot down and asked him to give me the information I need and that he is being very rude by asking me to leave while nothing was done. Today I decided to go back and finish my taxes and when he called me I asked him how he's doing (very kindly and happy) he says "are you seriously asking me that" ???? How rude can you be to your client?! I let that go (again) and ignored what he said. Conversation went on and he said he will make an appointment to have me come in to finalize everything and that was it. His assistant which I really liked in the beginning turned out to be as rude as her "friend" which she constantly kept saying. When she called me she asked me to come in at a certain time and also bring a $$ which was shockingly over priced. Now I've been seeing Stacy for 3 Years for my taxes and never have I had to pay extra but, Stacy decided to charge me extra because he had to make a change in my taxes that prob needed him to click on delete on his keyboard a few times! Horrible horrible experience! Never have I ever been treated this way by anyone who I've done business with. I ended cancelling filling my taxes with him and asked to have my documents ready for pick up. Stacy and his assistant couldn't even be professional enough to leave my documents inside the office. The assistant requested I pick up my documents outside the house in a box?!? Now you can only imagine how angry a person can be. Your personal information is all in those docs and these people decided to leave it outside so I can come and get it. Bottom line is Stacy needs to really work on attitude with clients and really needs work on being more professional. You will soon loose all your clients with this kind of attitude. Again I'm not one who usually uses yelp to write posts (good or bad) I only use it to see reviews but this post needed to be done ASAP. If you want great service and a good experience leaving your CPA, I do not recommend Stacy at all!!!!! -even yelp is saying "This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!" My wife and I had terrific experience with a star taxes. We were a little apprehensive finding a new tax returned preparer after losing our CPA due to his retiring . Our first contact with star tax was with Jennifer who is just wonderful and reassuring. We submitted our tax information and within a day Stacy called and we made an appointment that very same day. He told us if we wanted instead of paying quarterly we can apply the refund from federal and state towards are quarterly taxes. We feel very fortunate to have found Stacy who seems to be extremely knowledgeable in returns. Furthermore the cost of having our taxes done was about one-third the price our old CPA charged us. After having a wonderful experience with Stacy for the last two years now and FINALLY getting my tax returns done on time and the proper way (since the last person I was using just kept messing my stuff up) I decided to tell my parents about him.
