Despite being told my 2019 tax returns were handled and filed by Jonathan (See photo), I discovered in 2024 via an IRS letter that they were never actually filed. After confirming this with the IRS, I had to hire a CPA to resolve the issue, resulting in significant penalties and interest. Also spending time and effort for this mess. I spent a lot of time speaking with the IRS many times. Avoid this company at all costs. I dealt with Jonathan, Samantha, Silvia, and Mason, all of whom were unresponsive and unprofessional. After dozens of calls and emails, they finally refunded my filing fee ($1500) but refused to cover the heavy penalties and interest their negligence and obvious fault caused me. I hired the lawyer to file lawsuit and will also report them to the IRS. I am also in contact with other victims of not filing (listed below) to join my lawsuit. My lawyer told me that they had multiple businesses with bad reviews and reputations in LA before they started business in Norand California. Don't let them scam you too. AVOID HERE. 6 month follow-up update…read more. I know you may have been waiting with bated breath, so I'll try my best to keep this short. After 20+ additional emails (between both parties), we were finally able to receive our federal and state abatements from 2024. While this is good news and we are pleased with the outcome, it does not negate the unpleasant experience. After the last review, they took note and designated someone to call the IRS on our behalf, instead of repeatedly sending papers in the mail that the IRS would never receive. After receiving the federal abatement, we then had to ask them to help with the state abatement. In case you aren't aware (since I was initially not educated on this matter), you are allowed a 1-time federal and state abatement. Meaning, if you are in good standing, they will erase your fines, but not the interest. Some additional notes: 1. They are a global team, as their new name implies (Unified Global). This means that your team may be located in various time zones and countries. 2. Their software is straightforward and simple to follow, which I did appreciate. 3. Their timelines for filing, in my opinion, do not include a sufficient buffer if you have additional questions and/or corrections. We were asked several times to remove the last review, and after some thought, I have chosen to amend it. Similar to prior Yelpers, I believe that it they have improved their services, my initial review will just be background noise as the one off.

After the ownership change, it's clear that level of care is gone. What replaced it is a rigid, impersonal system that treats clients like transactions rather than relationships. They failed to notify clients of a major policy change regarding tax extensions until just days before the deadline--putting me at risk of non-compliance. When I raised concerns, their response was essentially: "This is our policy now, and if you don't like it, go somewhere else." No accountability. No attempt to fix the situation. No access to leadership. Just scripted responses from a support team. For a firm that benefited from years of loyalty and referrals, this is an incredibly poor way to treat clients. Avoid. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER : Your response proves my point. After years of automatically handling my extensions, you changed the process right before a deadline, offered no real support, and told me to pay $240 or figure it out myself. Had I not followed up, I could have been penalized -- and now you're trying to turn it around and frame it as my fault by calling me "not engaged." After years of loyalty and referrals, this wasn't a transition -- it was a downgrade to a transactional model.
