I've been using Juan Carlos since 2019 and he's been really great. He does both my S Corp business taxes and our family personal taxes. Our taxes are moderately complex and he has been always great talking through different aspects and helping us manage our tax burden through various choices we can make every year. Incredibly professional and does respond to my questions throughout the year (note tho, that again during tax season - hes' slammed) He's super busy now - probably because folks (like me) refer him all the time. It was a reasonable price for the service because I had a lot of extra paperwork needed to be incorporated for my taxes this year. Just be aware how much you are going to be charge...First time doing my taxes at J c taxes...What a a disappointment,... I have never been charge that much, the lady that used to make my taxes moved to Ohio .... Needed someone local.....when I call JC Taxes I asked to have an appointment with Juan Carlos , they said you can not have an appointment with him until you see some one else first..maybe next year...I asked how much do you charge... they asked me some questions and said, approximated 120.00 , the person that helped me with our taxes was Don Emilio ..once he knew about my deductions looking at my previous files, so he was very aware.. ..I asked again how much? he said between 160-170.00 I thought it is higher but reasonable... still....but to my surprise when he was done with my taxes..I asked him again...he said $201.00 and I am giving you a discount of 20.00 dollars...meaning his charge was 221.00 ...., I have done my taxes for over 40 years..never been charge that much and I have done it with and accountant as well......I should know better for next time, ...... They lost a client for being greedy. Something' else that I thought was odd, they asked for your SS # your actual card...That should have gave me a red flag.. they are are not my employer....They have your w-2 with all Your info and all your paper work, very inappropriate to ask for your actual SS card, no only I overpaid for my taxes...but it seems to me...they have a problem...it seems to me they like they take advantage...never again.. read more

Juancarlos is awesome. He is honest, friendly and knowledgeable. He has moved from this location and is now in Castro Valley on castro valley blvd. Right next to the bank of America. I came to know of jc tax services because my folks started using him when they moved to the East bay. He speaks spanish which is nice, but most important..he made my husband and I feel comfortable and explained any and all questions we had. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are a local small business that cares about customer service. He doesn't rush through things either. When you do go see him, make sure to park in the back...there's plenty of parking. read more
