Awesome experience with TaylorMade Window Fashions!…read more Our Hunter Douglas Silhouette blinds that were installed by the previous homeowner were old, holey and had dead bugs inside. Because of the size of the window, it was difficult to reach and vacuum inside the blinds without tearing the delicate material. We finally decided we were tired of looking at the bug-ridden, torn blinds and looked online for Hunter Douglas reps in our area. Wow...we knew Hunter Douglas would be expensive but we didn't know HOW expensive. We reached out to a few companies and got quotes from them and started to think maybe it was too pricey of a project. Emily from TaylorMade was very responsive to my questions and gave me a price quote that was lower than other reps in the area. One day I decided to give her a call, instead of just texting back and forth. She answered right away and we set up a time where we could look at samples. She also mentioned that there was a less expensive option to the Silhouette line that would save us money and you'd hardly be able to tell the difference! (That's the Nantucket line) On the day of our appointment, I was still deciding between a few companies, since their prices were pretty comparable. Emily showed up and I immediately liked her. She has a very pleasant, upbeat personality and I knew this was someone I enjoyed talking with and wanted to give my business to! I was also impressed that it's a family-owned (and veteran-owned!) business. Emily and her husband Chris named the company after their son, Taylor! :) They have decades and decades of experience with Hunter Douglas, which is what you should look for when deciding on a company. It was neat to look through her sample books and see and feel the different materials and picture how it'd look installed. We decided to go for it and placed our deposit. Emily stayed in communication and let us know it'd be several weeks to receive the custom blinds and then she'd set up installation. A few weeks later, I received a text from Chris to set up installation. Day of, Chris texted his ETA and then showed up on a very hot 100+ degree day. There was a little hiccup when we realized his ladder was too short for our very-tall windows but fortunately we have many ladders available in our house! I was nervous watching Chris climb the ladder (especially while he clenched several nails in his mouth) but he did it effortlessly and professionally. You could tell he had lots of experience with installing blinds. Plus he's a marathon runner and super fit, so that was helpful while standing precariously in the middle of the ladder. The blinds look amazing and the color (we went from beige to white) lets in so much more light than before. I love how bright the room is now. Super happy about our decision to go with TaylorMade. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in new window coverings for your home!

The strings on the door side failed (after 10 years, so a good run) we thought about changing them ourselves but I said let's see if we can have them professionally fixed because I have no idea how to do this (neither did she) and replacing the entire blind would cost about $500. So....after google searching I found Blind Magic - gave them a call and the nice lady quoted me between 35 to $65 to restring. What a deal! I figured we would be on the high end and might even be more than $65 - but heck my time and sanity is worth the $65! So we get there and very nice lady (same I spoke to on the phone) told us it would be $65 (we thought it would be more since the blinds are so big - but no!) she also allowed us to pay partial but we just paid he whole amount. Less than a week later and I get the call that the blind is ready - went and pickup and done. Bottom line - save yourself the hassle, support a small business and let them do it right. If you have nice blinds it's the way to go! Thanks Blind Magic!

Stellar customer service, top-notch installation, and absolutely delightful to work with. We just moved into a new home and have high-ceiling windows that aren't super accessible. We knew we needed to get some privacy since the lofts across the street look straight into our bedroom, and asked our friends for recommendations. Perfect Window got glowing recommendations so we reached out to see what the process would be like to get shades measured, ordered and installed. Todd and Todd were great! They offered to do an in-home consultation the next week, and came with ladders, samples, and measured our windows for us. They offered tons of recommendations, and gave pros and cons over the differences between honeycomb shades, motorized shades, etc! We knew we wanted a crisp, clean white shade, and preferred motorization since we wouldn't be able to reach the high-ceiling windows. We had a third balcony door that already had shades installed, so we asked Perfect Window to help us match the color as close as possible, and Perfect Window let us know they would email us a quote the next day. Once we got our quote, we were astonished. Not only was the quote super affordable and within our budget, Perfect Window had gone the extra mile and offered us broken-down, individualized quotes for non-motorized with an extension hook, motorized with battery, and motorized with solar panels - an option that essentially meant that we would never need to climb up to the high windows to swap out the battery. Easy decision - we went with the solar powered motorized blinds! In fact, the quote was so affordable and actually came in below our anticipated budget, so we asked Perfect Window to also give us a quote to swap out our existing balcony door shades, and they were happy to do so! We ended up picking a gorgeous, modern, stark-white color. As soon as we paid, Perfect Window gave us a timeframe of how long we should anticipate for our custom blinds to be made. Then the waiting game started! Perfect Window kept us in the loop every step of the way, and came by today to install our blinds! They are absolutely amazing - our home now has privacy, and my fiance and I have been lowering and raising the shades all day. Thank you Todd & Todd for your impeccable work and amazing, friendly service. Anyone looking for shades, shutters, blinds should definitely reach out to Perfect Window - they will absolutely deliver exactly what you wanted and more!

The 3 Day Blinds bid was almost double Perfect Windows, and they couldn't get the work done for 2 months. Also, the 3 Day Blinds salesperson showed up to our house maskless and scoffed when we asked him to wear one (shortly before bragging about how he'd been in hundreds of homes over the last year giving estimates.) Then he took like an hour to measure 4 windows and try to sell us on the spot. Todd from Perfect Window came out, measured the windows within a few minutes, and ended up sending us a bid that was about half as much, with the work getting done within like two weeks. We were ecstatic to be able to choose their bid - we prefer using local service providers, and having one be faster and cheaper than the big name place was awesome. The window coverings actually arrived earlier than expected, and Perfect Windows was at our house right away installing them. It was great. I highly recommend Perfect Window, and would definitely use them again.

She gave us honest opinions & suggestions to help us make appropriate decisions while being mindful of a budget. She was thoughtful about different factors we wouldn't have thought of on our own. She also offered tips. We were so pleased, we put in our order. Wait time until installation was 6 weeks. We ended up having shutters, roller shades, & sheer shades installed on 11 of our windows. We hit some snaffus that required 2 installation appointments. The first was about 2 hours long & included taking our old blinds away. They also went over how each worked & gave tips. There wasn't too much for us to clean up afterwards. Unfortunately, 2 windows had incorrectly sized shutters made & 1 set of shutters didn't pass the installer's quality test. Installers explained the situation & left temporary paper shades up. It was a bit disappointing. After an additional 4 weeks, we had the second installation that took around 30 minutes. All the installers were pleasant, respectful, & helpful to work with. The end result is so lovely & functional! We love them!! Note: They only offer Hunter Douglas products.
